We were really happy with the work Marquez constructed did for us. Hector came out to look at what needed to be done to fix a leak in our roof. He found the problem right away which was cracked stucco on our parapets. He repaired all the parapets and fixed the inside roof. We also had them patch the cracks in the stucco on the entire house. He had a wonderful hard working crew and they did a good job. We felt the price was reasonable based on past work done on our home. After no one showed and no one called, I reached out and they offered to come out today at noon. After not showing up and not contacting me, I messaged on Yelp and have been ignored.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wouldn't trust a company that is so unwilling to provide the bare minimum. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Edit: after posting the review, I received another message on Yelp, begging me for another chance. I relented and told them they could stop by any time my shop was open and provided them hours. I located this company online and it looked like they had good products. I filled out their request form for call back and instead got an email with a Google map picture of my house asking me if the picture on Google maps was what I needed work on and then told me to take measurements. They then told me to find a picture I liked and send that as well. They couldn't even do an on-site visit much less a phone call so I could ask further questions. It shouldn't be my job to take measurement and never get to speak to anyone one on one. Approach is everything , perhaps a brief phone call would have gone a long way. No, I was never called. Responsive, attentive, and super high quality work was my experience. Put in a safety fence and custom gate at my commercial property, and it looks awesome! They had to remove pre-existing fence and gate in order to set the posts, and while the fabrication was getting done, they put up a temporary fence for security that looked better than the old fence! Marquez Iron Works developed an area in our side yard, dropping concrete and building a wall. They installed two gorgeous gates. They worked super hard to be flexible with our HOA and the adjustments we kept having to make as well as to have the job done as soon as quality and materials would allow. I looked around for a contractor to cut my curb and build an apron for my drive way. The city doesn't license many for right of way projects (city owns the curb). I found Mr. Marquez after contacting many contractors. He came out, measured and gave me an estimate with no pressure. I contacted him and he gave me a date he could start. The work came out amazing, however I noticed that they chipped my driveway when they demolished the sidewalk. I've contacted Mr. Marquez on whether I should be concerned for future cracking, but he still hasn't replied in over a week. However, his company is professional and legit, and he does everything by the code. I will still give him 5 stars although I was upset about them chipping my driveway and no response. Marquez came out to our house to pour a slab in the back, and a walking path along the side of the house. The crew that came to do the work was courteous, professional and worked quickly. I was impressed! They took care of all the prep work to get the ground ready to pour, did the pour and cleaned up after. Immediately it improved our lives by increasing the usable space at our home. The process of getting the estimate done was smooth and quick. The crew arrived generally when they agreed to (there was some weather that affected the start time of the job.) The job took longer than the two days I was quoted (4.5 days on-site + no work over the weekend.) Overall the concrete is very good. It looks good, the straight lines are true, the curves are right. They did what they said they'd do; but there were a couple of minor issues: * The grading wasn't perfect, and a low spot exists right next to the exterior wall of the house. This means that water pools up directly on the stucco, instead of draining properly away. The majority of the surface drains as expected (toward the river.) I'm still going to have to try to find a way to protect my home and resolve the low-spot issue, though. Marquez offered me no solution when I raised the issue while they were still here - he recommended that I call him if the water caused my stucco to crack. I am not confident that would be fruitful. * The cleanup of the work site was a little disappointing. I found 40-50 nails scattered all across my yard. One main goal for this project was to increase usable play space for my two small children -- I was not happy about finding a bunch of rusty nails that were carelessly left all over the yard, where my 2 and 4 yrs-old play. I'd do business with Marquez again, but will definitely take heed of the experiences of others in resolving issues after the work is done. read more

Although Marquez did a great job installing and programming my gate and garage remotes, he was impossible to get in contact with when I needed one remote re-programmed and replacements for another remote which was lost. He never responded to texts or phone calls and after a month of trying I gave up and called another company. They were out the next day- problems solved quickly and inexpensively. read more

Mr. Marquez did a rebuild of a block wall and a metal gate for our house. We cannot praise his work enough. The price was more competitive than anyone in town, he has total integrity when working with us. We made several changes and there was no problem. I have not had any problems communicating with Marquez, both texting or by phone. He has been available and quickly responds every time. His crews are impeccable, lovely people, easy to work with, pleasant and very hard workers. I cannot sing his praise enough. We loved working with Mr. Marquez and his crew. After having a quote by mr Cesar Marquez the owner, his conduct was sketchy when i asked for his contractors license after my neighbor was having problems with his driveway that Marquez installed, which was poorly done. That's not the type of contractor you want at your house . So far i have found out his is not even licensed to do the work that he is been doing for some years according to him. read more

I requested Marquez Iron Works to pour a concrete slab for a gazebo and sidewalk in my back yard. He had it poured in two days. I am happy with the work done. His crew was supposed to pour a concrete slab for my bar-b-que grill but they forgot to pour it. After I asked Mr. Marquez if they would come back to pour the small 6' x 3' slab, he gave me several reasons why I didn't need it and deducted the amount from the final bill. His crew had removed some yard art I had staked to the ground that had been in the way of where he was pouring the sidewalk. When I was resetting the yard art I could not find the stakes so I called him and asked where his men had placed the stakes. He told me he would come right over and help me look for them. I waited a few hours and he did not show up or bother to call me. I called him again and found that he had blocked my phone number. I always wondered what a caller would get when they called a number from which they had been blocked and discovered that the phone rings once and then hangs up on you. I called him several times not understanding why the call disconnected, and then I realized that I had been blocked. I then, called him from my landline, left a message and he did not return my call. I replaced the stakes, they didn't cost much money, but I thought it was unprofessional of him. read more
