I saw his ad on craigslist and gave him a call (i will attach the business' craiglist ad to the bottom of this review). He was friendly on the phone and told me about his work experience. My family hired him (we deeply regret it everyday because we have to look at the shoddy work he left us). We hired him to xeriscape our front yard and put tile in our family's small restoom where we had vinyl and he DESTROYED our front yard and ruined our restroom. My family's front yard looks like it was done by a 5 year old and our restroom looks like he put the tile on in the dark. Worst Offensives by this business: 1. complaining about how poor he is; and his constant demands to be paid early 2. disorganization: he constantly leaves his work site because he FORGETS to bring the tools he needs (when asked, Isaac will even tell you that he forgot to bring items because he was up late and was rushing over) 3. no RESPECT for your home or neighborhood: for example, he will (try) to park wherever (he ran over my neighbor's from lawn and garden); 4. no respect for his family: Isaac WILL bring his family to YOUR home while he does his shoddy work; he will treat his family poorly in front of you - it is very unconformable to watch. 5. This business THINKS that doing 75% of a job means that the work is done. This business leaves work before the job is complete. And when you mention this to him, he kills time until he decides to leave. ------- Again, I had high hopes for Isaac Aguilar Handyman. Especially since his ad said he has an architectural degree and 15 years of experience. WATCH OUT and Identify this Business: The business utilizes a white Nissan Sentra (missing the rear bumper), and a dark silver/gray Nissan Armada. Another way to identify Isaac and this business is he TALKS A LOT, and he will rudely (try) get into your home conversations instead of work. He told my family that he's from Las Vegas, New Mexico, that his dad is a contractor, he's an outdoors man, he has an architectural degree (I highly doubt this), he's worked for a millionaire woman, and other bizarre and uncomfortable things. Isaac Aguilar/business owner is between 30-35, with an average build. Another way to identify Isaac is that he likes to brag about the handyman work he does with photos and videos made by his wife Sofia. (I highly doubt the photos/videos he shows are of his TRUE work). ------ Craigslist Ad Below----- Get the job done right the first time. Work guaranteed! Very trustworthy and I make sure and get the job done every time. Have tons of experience and will make sure that you are calling, wanting more work done! Very hard worker. Handyman Services 15 years experience Architectural Degree Most experience: Remodel 3 Year Commercial Electrical Apprentice Plumbing: snake main line , I fix copper lines, install new faucets, vanities, etc. Flooring: most experience laminate, tile, ceramic, back splash, new bathroom tile. Framing: install new additions, demo, build up garages and shed with 120 v electricity. Roofing: Patches, replace shingles, fix skylight leaks. Stucco: Repair cracks, demo and replace stucco leaks. Landscaping: Install sprinklers or drip line. Install sod, level, remove debris, make planters above ground, plant fruits, and vegetables. I have also created ponds above ground for fish and waterfalls. $20 a hour. Richard came out and they worked out a plan to transition the two levels. It came out perfectly. I kept my original baseboards. Irving and Juan removed them without damage, numbered each one and reinstalled them. They were wonderful I can't say enough good things about them. In the middle of the installation, I came down with covid. After a week, they were right back on the job. I was afraid they would have another job in the works and was grateful to see them ready to finish. All and all, they were just about like family by the time the job was complete. I told them I would miss them!! I had a dark tile I loved and carpet in bedrooms. The lighter flooring has brightened my house. I don't miss the tile or the carpet and will never have either again. I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

Ridgeview Roofing and Restoration is an incredibly reliable, professional and hardworking company! From the start of my experience with them until the job completion, I felt very comfortable and secure with every process, and all aspects of the job. And it was clearly all due to the diligent and consistent work of CeJay Hines. This company came highly recommended by a fellow teacher who had her roof, and her brother's roof completed by them. She had hail damage and they got her insurance company to cover all of it. I called them for my hail damage just to get an idea of price. CeJay Hines came out within 2 days and did a thorough inspection. He definitely knows roofing! He was able to find recent and older hail damage and connect it to Albuquerque storms that produced heavy hail in my neighborhood. He then went to bat with my insurance company. Initially, my roof was denied for a complete roof. I was bummed, but CeJay knew exactly what to do and tirelessly dealt with my insurance, and after some back and forth got my whole roof, my shed, and some interior ceiling damage fully covered!!!!! He also was very knowledgeable about my solar panels. He got insurance to cover the removal and reinstall of them as well! Originally, it was not covered, but he was persistent and well-versed in insurance procedures and tricks and got it covered! Amazing persistence and preparedness for all the issues! He made sure he was there when the insurance adjusters were on site. There was no down time from the day my solar panels were removed. They came out within 1 day and started my job. It was completed and all clean up was finished within 36 hours. No stress for me!!! He stayed in constant contact with me during the whole job, especially with all the insurance back and forth! I didn't have to do a thing. On top of all that, CeJay went above and beyond with issues that came up throughout the job. He removed and discarded the old satellite dish. He discovered that all existing roof canales were too high and lowered them to allow for proper drainage, (that part was NOT covered by insurance). He left extra TPO for the solar company to put under the panels during re-install. He replaced old shed shingles with some he had left over from another job, and did the whole new underlayment, again, at no cost to me! But my FAVORITE thing was that when he noticed my shed didn't have proper ventilation, he installed a turtle vent to help keep the shed cool!!!! I know this review is long, but there were so many details I had to get in. I was very impressed with Ridgeview Roofing and Restoration, and CeJay Hines, and his incredible attention to detail and roofing expertise!!! I can definitely say that this company is the best contractor that I have ever worked with in my 35 years of homeownership!!! read more

Aaron & Alexis came known to us as a result of hail damage to our roof. Being seniors, we aren't able to get on our roof and inspect for any damage. Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and informative, providing us with details and photos before we made a decision to go with them. Aaron even worked with our insurance company for us. Alexis, as the project manager went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. She even took on the roofing supply delivery company when the ran over and crushed some of our landscaping. Checks back occasionally to make sure we are still happy with the finished proect. Kim pursued my insurance company to ensure that I received every possible dollar to accomplish my goal of having a new and overdue roof. Their Project Manager, Alexa, helped with amazing samples and pictures of every possible color. Wow. She provided colors that I would never have considered and with her expertise, helped me choose a color that just pops. I totally love my new roof. It is SO beautiful. Turns out we had issues with our roof that not many wanted to deal with. Another roofer who came to look at our roof told us why we weren't getting any follow-up and then he didn't follow-up either. The problem with contractors in this city is a lot of them are flakes. They don't show up or they don't follow through. I won't say he's a bad roofer. I would just hope that contractors could be a little more professional overall.

BBB has our pictures of the destruction this roofing company did to our home. Paiz has another company started Custom Roofing Consulting and Construction. IT IS NOT a BBB Accredited Business. We do have an Attorney and soon going after them for Fraud. The State inspector who came out last winter took pictures of a big burn on our roof. The roofers didn't replace fire rating coating and actually hammered nails close to the smokestack. Our home could've burnt down if it wasn't for the State inspector finding this. We immediately contacted Robert Paiz, and he said it was caused by our smokestack. We had another roofing company come out and they verified what Paiz unskilled roofers did and fixed our burnt roof area. This cost us $2.400 to fix. Of course, Robert Paiz paid Zero. So much more to this nightmare roofing job. If you do any work with this company, be careful. Document everything and don't trust Kate his office manager we find her very dishonest.
