It literally took 1 minute to check in, and BOOM, I was handed keys. The hotel lobby offers a convenient store which sells Frozen Pizzas, Hot Pockets, microwavable meals, chips, drinks and even Hard Seltzers...Very convenient and more items than I can remember! The lobby is modern and breakfast is served from 630am-10am every morning. Everything in between from English muffins and cinnamon rolls to scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage. That's always a nice treat I enjoy! The hotel also has a pool, fitness center, and office station, but I didn't use any of those amenities. Also, the vicinity of the hotel is pretty nice being in Westlake. Many restaurants and options for shopping and entertainment. I rate 3 stars due to the condition of the rooms. The younger guy with blonde hair who cleans on the 1st floor isn't doing the best job as my mother and sisters room was disgusting! Hair all in the sheets and it just seemed like a quick wipe down of surfaces rather than being cleaned. They had to switch rooms! My room on the 3rd floor was much better but it wasn't spectacular. The comforter did have a stain, and the bathroom soap dispenser holder was broken along with a missing light fixture overhead. I do appreciate a microwave in the room and refrigerator. I ordered Door Dash twice and It was nice being able to reheat my food. I don't take that for granted at all! - Thank You. Be mindful of the toilet because it has a strong flush and will splash out! There was a slight hiccup upon checkout but I diffused that situation. Just be mindful of the housekeepers and the communication with the front desk. They can at times come off as quite rude and clearly very gossipy as It's blatant in your face. Also, for a late checkout you can sign up for IHG Rewards and checkout 1 hour later. I would stay here again If I were in the area. The hotel isn't bad and the complimentary breakfast makes a huge difference, but they really need to focus on housekeeping! That's the main selling point. Also the trashcan at the entry of the hotel was spilling over both nights. Just an fyi.

I did find out they don't have any cameras in that space which is a bit alarming. I did not go back to that space or breakfast because my situation was never resolved right away, and the person involved disappeared in the middle of the night. I did notify the 800 number and the manager on duty spoke with me but after I got home, I started thinking I spent 50,000 points on a stay and nothing was offered in return. I should've called the police or the very least child services as the hotel did not seem as alarmed as I did so that being said, I will be going back to Marriott.

We normally stay at the Country Inn & Suites when we travel because they consistently provide the amenities we like. But we ended up booking the last room at a hotel in Elyria that was close to friends and our destination. Unfortunately our stay was completely unsatisfactory. The property was poorly maintained and the specific amenities that we rely on when we travel were inadequate. So we decided to find another hotel for our final night and stumbled upon the Cambria. It had our preferred amenities so we decided to give a try. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The property was extremely well maintained and peaceful. The staff was warm and helpful. And our room was excellent. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable and the room layout was great for our two young kids. The pool was the cleanest hotel pool I've ever been in and the towels were kept fully stocked. We loved the fire pit and the pool table. And not only were there cookies in the lobby but also an apple pie for Memorial Day! And my husband LOVED the coffee provided in the library. We only had one small issue with our tv remote and it was addressed promptly. I have to specifically acknowledge Dominique at the front desk. She was extremely courteous and helpful at both check in and check out. We will definitely stay at the Cambria the next time we visit Cleveland.

It's also right next door to Costco and ranges about $115-$130/night. The hotel is nice overall, with a big fitness room, indoor pool and hot tub, two outdoor patios with fire pit and complimentary fruit infused water, coffee and tea. They have a paid buffet breakfast option, bar and dinner options. The breakfast buffet runs about $10/person, adult drinks average $7 or more minimal, I didn't try any of the dinner options, but there is a free appetizer coupon if you check-in on Yelp. The downside of my stay was the room service. My family was staying in about seven different rooms, and we all received very different experiences, but none too good. The cleaning service would consistently show up at different times or not at all. Various of us had to request them to come bring us clean towels, toilet paper, etc. because they didn't show-up some days. Additionally, sheets were supposed to be changed on the third day of your stay, which did not happen. One of the reasons I love staying in a hotel, is that I finally have someone else doing these simple tasks that I do daily at home. Hopefully Cambria can get their act together for the next stay.

From the time I arrived to the hotel, I received unprofessional service from the front desk representative, Morgan. She was unfriendly and somewhat rude when she spoke to me, during the check-in process. She never took the time to explain anything about the hotel's amenities, their cleaning service schedule, local restaurants and attractions, etc. Any hotel I've ever stayed at in the past, their front desk representatives have always shared that information with me as well as welcomed me to their hotel, inquired about whether I had stayed there before so they knew how to better assist me, and they would even take an interest as to the reason for my stay. I thought this was common professional etiquette from a hotel's front desk representatives, but apparently not when you're staying at the Hampton Inn! Although the room appeared neat, upon my arrival, the shower floor was dirty and remained that way the entire stay so I assume cleaning the shower isn't part of their cleaning protocol, which seems very unsanitary to me! Upon learning the cleaning service for the room was only done every other day, I requested mine be done daily. However, they never provided me with the daily cleaning service despite numerous phone calls to the front desk. During each call, I let them know that my room, once again, had trash and dirty towels along with an unmade bed, upon my return. The only thing calling the front desk did was cause another employee, Joe, to begin treating me rudely instead of actually fixing the cleaning problem. This was not how he treated me previously so it was somewhat of a surprise especially when I had complimented him to another employee, during one of the phone calls to the front desk. After seeing the change in his attitude, I decided to avoid dealing with the employees so that I wasn't treated even worse and to just get through my stay there! After I returned home, I emailed Hampton's Corporate Office with my complaints regarding the unprofessional service I received and the lack of cleaning services provided. They responded and offered me a certificate for a free one-night stay, which I declined. The certificate doesn't undo the way I was treated, and I have no intention of returning to a Hampton Inn if this is how their employees are trained to treat their guests! I would not recommend this specific location or any other location if this is the type of service they continue to provide to their guests. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable except to be treated respectfully and to have a clean room daily. Next time I'll stay at the Comfort Inn where my daughter said she has ALWAYS had extremely positive experiences any time she stays there! I hope the Hampton Inn will work at improving the training they provide to their employees so another guest isn't forced to have the unfavorable experiences I endured, during a time that was supposed to be full of fun for my daughter's surprise party, which was the reason for my stay at the hotel!

So, I had to get away for a few days, and decided that Cleveland was a quick easy location. I…read morescoured hotels.com and found that this place was not only reasonably priced, but in a great location in regards to food, shopping, the expressway and downtown. I booked my stay, and off I went. When I arrived, I was happy to get here. The hotel isn't anything fancy. It's definitely clean and safe, but if you want a 5 star Hilton, keep driving. I arrived at 12:30, and even though check in time is 2PM, the staff was nice enough to let me check in early! I liked this because I've been to other hotels and they were much more rigid about check in time. Plus, I was a bit tired from driving and really wanted to rest and relax. I also had requested a second floor room for security purposes, since I was traveling alone. They accommodated this as well, which made me even happier. I had the two queen beds reserved, and when I walked into the room, I was happy to see that it was in great shape! They had a flatscreen TV with 42 channels, free WIFI with an awesome full signal, and a great little setup going on here with a desk area as well. But, here's where I dock a star. I lumped it all together because I was really happy with the staff AND my stay here overall. First, the room I booked was wonderful, but came without a coffee maker. I didn't realize this, and I guess for a few extra bucks a night I could have reserved a different room. No, I can live with walking across the parking lot to get some coffee when needed, but coffee is kind of a big deal to me in the morning. The girl at the desk said that normally they have a few extra machines to "check out" for people who want it, but they didn't have any available. Boo. Secondly, the socket in the bathroom counter area must have reset itself because after I had taken a shower that night, I was unable to turn on my hairdryer. I tried to reset it myself, but was unable to do so. The next morning when I was on my way out, the nice maintenance man took care of it for me, so it did resolve itself. Thirdly, the toilet did have to be manually reset because it was running after I had used it. It was only this one time my first night, and no I didn't complain about it because I fixed it myself! On the bonus side, the desk is always staffed 24/7. I had great experiences here, and every morning they had out a baggie breakfast to people! You get a bottle of water, a fresh apple, and your choice of muffins. I went with the Chocolate muffin bag, so I really liked that! Also, I received daily room service, so my beds were made, towels were restocked and everything was put back in order. I was very happy with my stay here. I felt safe and secure, and will gladly return to Red Roof on my future visits to Cleveland. Thank you Red Roof, you really made an awesome impression!

I disposed of them also, if that was not bad enough I went to use the bathroom and found the toilet not functioning. I tried calling the front desk but as you will see from attached pictures that the phone was also not working and damaged. I have been a guest at your establishment for more than 3 occasions and never experienced this , when I informed the clerk at checkout that I needed some type of explanation and some discount, was told the manager would call me after 11am it is now 1:30.. still no response. if I was able to see at night to drive we would have left at 2am but that was not a safe option. Um....yikes. This place is an older property, and definitely shop-worn. Entry/exit tricky with a hotel cart since it's a one-person type (small) door. No comfy lobby area, like zero seating. But it's a Towneplace! Where every room is a suite, so no worries. But it was just plain kind of yucky. - sofa old and WORN, like I felt dirty sitting on it - coffee maker in kitchen missing parts! (WHAT?!) - had to go to lobby for coffee (no biggie) but at 6:10 a.m. it hadn't yet been made :( - oatmeal. I love when the buffet has healthy options. good old-fashioned homemade oatmeal had such a small amount of liquid it was like cement. ladle it out??? impossible. I did get some oatmeal out and into my little bowl and I thought "not a crisis, I'll add water and microwave it back to temp. i didn't know until eating it that it was not only cooked with WAY too little water, but it was undercooked. WOW. - missing dishes were later found still in the dishwasher. This place just desperately needs a makeover from the room doors to the lobby to .....well, all the rest of it as well. Too bad we paid such a high price for a disappointing stay.

As always it's also about expectations. It's an old hotel and if you want something newer it's not the place for you. But it's clean and it has good staff. The money I saved every night I used to go out and dine in some of the great restaurants in the nearby suburbs with my family. I did stay in a suite the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the bed was fine. It's nice to have a regular kitchen with a regular refrigerator to use. I have stayed here almost every year for about 8 years about a week to ten days at a time. The parking is fine you can arrange it so your car is really near your room and you can have fairly easy access. The hotel is long and thin like a boat so it may take you a little while to walk down to the lobby. Also everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Sometimes it's hard to remember that there's some real gaps in the amount of experience in the people working. I always try to be kind because I know how hard it is to maintain and keep good staff When I registered I registered directly with the hotel by phone. I find I get better results with the type of room I want. When I arrived I was greeted at the front desk by a young person who I found out was the manager I talked to on the phone. He was so very positive and that did their best to make sure I got the room I wanted.. There are several nearby chain type restaurants that can accommodate a family and some have bars so if you're a single person you can sit and eat. Many have reasonable good tasting take out. Of course the nearby suburbs have lots of really good individually and family-owned restaurants with different types of food. They also have returned to serving a hot breakfast. It was typical fare and was hot and plentiful. They had the usual good stuff where you make your own waffles and have sausage scrambled egg and fresh fruit, juice, muffins, bagels and stuff like that. I have to say I was very pleased that the attention the staff made to making sure breakfast food was hot plentiful. I always tip the breakfast person and housekeeping, it's an old school way of thinking and I hope you will consider adopting it. They have a nice outdoor area with a small outdoor pool which moms can sit at a table and watch their kids. They also have several outdoor tables that the Wi-Fi reaches so people could sit out there with their laptops and do work. The rooms were just fine for a overnight stay, or several days.

To the Management of Sonesta Suites Westlake,…read more I am writing to formally document the appalling conditions I encountered during my recent stay at your Westlake, Ohio location. As a frequent traveler, I have never experienced a facility in such a severe state of disrepair and neglect. Upon arrival, I was informed that the advertised pool and hot tub were closed indefinitely due to a water leak--information that was notably absent from your website. During my stay, the internet was non-functional for ten days despite daily assurances from staff that it would be repaired. Furthermore, when a fire alarm went off at 7:04 AM, there was no management response for ten minutes. I eventually called 911 myself, only to be told by responding officers that the hotel had failed to notify them and that the alarm system was not directly connected to the station. Later, when our cable TV failed, the front desk rudely claimed no other rooms were available, a statement proven false when I called from a blocked number and was told vacancies existed. The physical state of the property is a significant liability. I observed the following: - Building Condition: Rotting and collapsing stairways, peeling paint, and floorboards that flex underfoot. Several windows are broken or boarded up. - Hygiene: Our room was musty with filthy, stained carpeting and tiny insects (drain flies) around the sinks. Discarded appliances and trash were scattered outside. - Parking Lot: Approximately 18 abandoned vehicles are on-site, some with license plates expired for years. I also observed discarded auto parts, a makeshift tent, and a fire pit on the grounds. Of even greater concern is the safety of the environment. I witnessed open drug transactions in the parking lot and individuals urinating on the building exterior. The property currently functions more as a neglected apartment complex or halfway house than a professional hotel. The online photos of this location are entirely misleading. I have filed formal complaints and shared photographic evidence with the Westlake Police Department, the Building Department, and the Property Maintenance Inspector. I expect these authorities to take the necessary enforcement actions to address these health and safety violations.
