A terrific resort located in the Costa del Sol area. Marriott Vacation Clubs tend to be high quality and service oriented. This resort is no different. The Concierge desk provides day tours to many different hotspots in the region. Shout out to Tommaso who recommended a great tour for Gibraltar. Also provided helpful info on how to get around the area as well. The room was well decorated. Cleaning service was performed everyday. There is a beach area on the resort, as well as a full gym, and both indoor/outdoor pools. Numerous restaurants are nearby. So overall, a great place to stay and enjoy the sunny southern Spain. read more
We couldn't be more pleased with our stay here. Everyone was so friendly! We enjoyed the workout classes every morning, the paella class, the 24 hour market place, everything! And everyone who worked their was soooo kind! read more
I came here in the summer where the resort was filled with families mainly from the UK. Apparently there is a sister Marriott resort close by that is less family-friendly so if you're looking to come to this part of Spain but you're just with your lover minus the kids, choose the other place. If you have the kiddos in tow, by all means come here. Complete with a game room for teens, lots of outdoor places to play (tennis, soccer, ping-pong, air hockey, the list goes on and on) this place is really perfect for kids to make new temporary friends and have fun. In addition they have a daily activity list of kid-friendly (and some adult friendly) things to do which basically feels like you have a full-time babysitter. Score. I would venture to say that 90% of the guests here stayed by the many pools that the resort had to offer versus going to the beach. The beach was beautiful (to look at) but the sand was scorching hot and the sea was freezing cold. The pools were great and they had an indoor pool that had several hot tubs that were fun. They even had a chair lift to get wheelchair bound individuals in and out of the pool. There was thankfully a pool dedicated to little kids with a slide and a spray ground. This freed up the other pools for mostly adults. Only bad thing about this place: the restaurant. Not great. Luckily the rooms come with their own kitchens so you can make a lot of meals, but when it came around to dinner we chose to go to the restaurants outside of the resort rather than staying in. If you can handle doing that I would advise to do so! In summary: great family get away. read more

A perfect resort for families! The Estepona beach resort offers exclusive, private apartments featuring a master suite with over sized soaking tub, full kitchen, separate living & dining areas, and washer and dryer for all the conveniences of home. We enjoyed our stay at this resort. it is located on the beach. The staff is friendly and there is something for everyone here. There is a kids zone which has daily activities for the kids, three pools (one indoor and heated) tennis, ping pong, BBQ and picnic area, DVDs and games to borrow and the list goes on and on. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area. Highly recommend! read more

We stayed here during the last week in September. The weather was perfect and the place was nice and clean. The main pool temperature is kept lower that those in Hawaii. Apparently the Europeans like that temperature. But once you're in it's wonderful. One thing I would bring with me is a FLY swatter. I couldn't believe the amount of flies that keep annoying you around the pool area. Every minute, you're trying to brush them away. If you are pool side and need a drink or something to nibble on, there are flags on your lounge that you raise to get the servers attention. DID NOT WORK. Seems they are short handed and this poor server is trying to accommodate both pools. So its best to walk up to the service line. One good thing, there is Happy Hour, I think it was from 5-6. We loved their Chicken Wings. Breakfast isn't a bad option at the restaurant. The price is right and there were quite a few choices. The omelet maker was late so we missed out on that. As for cooking, there are only two BBQ pits but large enough to handle 4 people if the other BBQ'rs are not hogging the entire surface. The pits are electric not gas and for some reason, our chicken didn't stick to the grill. If you plan ahead, a good place to by groceries is at the La Canada Mall which houses a huge grocery store. All the sports equipment and activity area is very well kept. We've been to other properties where the pool table was not balanced. Don't waste your time with the Flamenco entertainment. If you're not the first to dinner, you'll be stuck in the back. When I watch Flamenco, I like watching their foot movements. Didn't see any. Good thing we went to see the Flamenco in Barcelona before coming down. Also, I would pass on the Lobster. It was just too watery for me and you had to work hard for the little amount of lobster you got. This resort is definitely a family oriented venue. So, bring your kids, they'll have lots to do. All in all, we had a great time and have met some wonderful people from the Netherlands, Scotland and Great Britain. read more

Hi Charles! Thank you for your review. It is thrilling to know your…
If you are part of the Marriott Family, go here. If you are part of any exchange program, go here. We used our exchange from Grand Cayman to go here via Interval International. It's difficult to find. Look for the road that crosses on-coming traffic. I think we were in the 'rotary' (round-a-bout) for 4 complete passes before my guy saw it. From check-in to check-out this is a 6 star resort. I think there are 4 pools, 3 outdoors and 1 (heated) indoors. Our 'apartment' had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and living area as well as 3 sliding doors and a full laundry room. Everything I needed was there and impeccable. Parking is underground, seriously under where your room is and elevators to get there and back. I'd give it a 6 minus one for poor ventilation in the rooms. No ceiling fans and no screens on the windows/doorwalls. We received a call from Security after our first night for leaving our door walls cracked open. The mosquitos also told us to not do it again. read more

Agree with others who point out the great facilities here. Folks could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Stayed 5 days in late April. Weather perfect in mid 70's. Tours arranged through the fantastic concierge were both great: Tangier and the 'White Village' tour in the mountains. The former is probably what you should expect from a bustling North African port city with a 3500 year history. Sensory overload from spices, masses of humans, the kasbah, and the noises unique to this environment. The latter tour was 6 of us in a van for 8 hours with Frank (indiananatura.com), a retired chef and a local whose knowledge of the area was quite extraordinary. Visits to a 500 year old olive press and a lunch in a family friend's house were special and unique experiences. Both high value tours leaving you with a great insight into this area of the world. Kudos to the Marriott staff for bringing this all together so beautifully. One thing which might help if you are driving to the resort using GPS: the iPhone navigation app (and others I've heard) will take you to the wrong place if you paste the address in from the Marriott site. (Seriously, 15-20 kilometers away). The location shown on the map when you google the resort depicts the correct location. Look at it and do a pin drop in the same place in the iPhone app and you should be good to go. read more

A perfect coastal resort. My experience was based on a stay in February. Overall the resort was very quiet. But I imagine this would be much different during the busy weeks of summer. I exchanged a week through Interval International to stay at the property in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was very well stocked and comfortable. I had a special request of a top floor room which was granted. The room assigned was a garden view room overlooking the children's play pool. The room faced to the east with the ocean being viewable from the terrace. When the resort is busier I would avoid a room looking at children's pool as the noise would be quite loud. The resort has a large amount of amenities including beach access, two outdoor swimming pools, an indoor heated pool, restaurant and a well stocked marketplace. Overall my experience has been very positive. I enjoyed my stay at the resort and would come back in the future! read more
