Other than that there is no other difference compared to the other CTA blue line stops. My visit here was prior to a Chicago Bulls game and I'm pretty sure that i will return in the future. I love that this stop is near the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center because it saves me from the headache of driving and getting stuck in traffic; also the possibility of getting lost on the Westside. CTA Illinois Medical District isn't a bad stop; my experience here was pretty peaceful, but i wish that I could of helped the panhandler at the stop a lot more, other than just using my phone, but that is better than nothing. If you are going to Rush or UIC, you might consider the Pink line instead, which will put you in the same general area without having to walk the ramp exposed to the elements. From what I have noticed it is actually safe, but that does not mean that I would not keep alert while in it even as an African American. CTA Kedzie is one of the high traffic areas in East Garfield Park due to everyone coming in-and-out, and also because of the liqa sto (One Eleven Food & Liquors) being posted about 100 meters from the station. I'm crossing my fingers that 'One Eleven Food & Liquors' gets torn down and becomes the parking lot for 'The Hatchery' once 'The Hatchery' has been completed, but that's a whole different topic. However, if you have ever been to this area you will understand what type of traffic it brings. The worst you will encounter in this area are drunks, druggies and drug dealers which stems from the liqa sto being a hit, but other than that it is just people trying to carry out their day whether that be going to school, work, or home via the train or bus. At night the traffic calms down, but that does not mean you stop being alert because it is pretty dark in this area once you get off that train and exit the CTA stop itself. Thomas G

This stop deserves some credit for being located, through no decision of itself, in one of the most…read moreforlorn, dangerous looking corners of hotspot-city. However, it's not any of these things. It's a great stop in the midst of a neighborhood of people trying to do the best they can with that they were given. It is a crossroads of kids coming from and going to school, with a few restaurants thrown in the mix. It's actually a very safe area and there is a Garfield Outdoor Market on the south-eastern corner of the street on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings that has great produce. It's in the location of the soon-to-be-built "Hatchery", which is a food service small business incubator that has some very substantial community resource behind it.

CTA has a stop on Wellington that gets total ass busy. It really gets crazy at rush hour, so forget…read moreit. Lots of trains coming through but no room. Blame it on the hipsters. They be fucking things all up. A lot of stops all together around here. It serves the Brown and Purple Lines. This is between the Diversey and Belmont stops. Literally a few blocks away. This makes the trains go slower. It's a waste mostly and there's not much use for it. There's not that much farther to go if you aren't lazy. Has the Illinois Masonic Hospital. It's why this stop exists, if you're interested. There's still no need for this many stops together.

CTA has a classic stop on the Loop at Quincy, in fact as old of a stop there is around here. It has…read morepretty convenient access to other modes of transportation and you can get on many different Lines. Of course because of the location it gets busy especially at rush hour for sure. Located near a few important buildings and attractions. There's Amtrak and Metra where you can make transfers. It can be found on the southwest side of the Loop close to some other systems you can conveniently access. It serves the Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple Lines. The times each of these operates varies. Brown goes counterclockwise. The others go clockwise so you have to be on the correct side of the platform. For the Brown, stand on the west, and the others are on the east. Close proximity to Amtrak and Metra is right by here. This is only a few blocks to the LaSalle and Union Station, so if you're getting on these getting off here is a good idea. Also know the Purple is a limited extension. It's only on weekdays at rush hour. This gives you quick access to either the LaSalle station or Union Station if you're transferring between systems.

I thought I could get some pics of the #94 and also the #49 Western buses to put on their Yelp Business Pages. The only pictures that I took that looked pretty good, turned out to be for the X49, so I felt compelled to open a business page, write this review, and, of course, post my pics. . I found out this X49 bus runs on weekdays during rush hours. The #49 Western makes all of the usual stops between 79th St on the south side and Berwyn Avenue on the north side. The X49 Western Express only stops at the main intersections, so you should be able to save some time on this bus - - if your stop is a main intersection. Since I have not personally experienced riding this bus, I feel 3 stars is an appropriate rating - - sure does sound like a time saver, if the stops fit your needs. CTA Review #6
