Wednesday I returned home after being in Rehab. due to a broken Pelvis. I had absolutely no heat in the house. Marshalls came at 3:00 that afternoon and my burner needed a new circulator. He got my burner to run but could not promise it would keep running. They finally received the new part on Friday 12/19/25 but the man told me that wouldn't be able to install the part until Tuesday because those with no heat have priority over my repair. Marshalls only provides emergency service over the weekends and don't provide repairs. So what do I do if I burner stops working? Do I have to call emergency and tell the guy they have the circulator even though I was told they couldn't install it? I myself consider myself as one having NO HEAT ALSO!! I have been a long time customer with Marshalls and yet I have been put down on the bottom of the list when I need Heat on a Cold Day or Night. It's not FAIR! read more

I called Marshall Setvices in a panic. I have bidets in several of my larger bathrooms in my home, one of them was leaking, so I tried to repair it myself. Big mistake! I called Marshals and spoke to a woman who said she could get somebody out the same day I was so happy. John, the technician came to my home was very respectful of my property and went right to work. It took him several hours to remove the hardware, but did so than cleaned up after himself John did an amazing job. Marshalls Service has zero respect for their customers' time. They habitually miss/skip/reschedule scheduled appointments the day of the appointment. Usually they call to reschedule but lately they just skip the appointment all together. I have been a customer for well over 12 years and I have purchased AC/HVAC systems from them and am trapped by maintenance plans. Otherwise, I would for sure look for a better service company. Trust me there is always a more important customer or reason why they cannot honor a scheduled visit. Who cares if you scheduled time off work to be at home or moved meetings arounds. When I showed the technician the google image of the exact part he was trying to sell me, showing $26, he couldn't even make eye contact. When challenged, he eventually said, "I know. I attempted to make an appointment on a Saturday and was forwarded to their answering service. Was instructed that someone will call me on the next business day. Nothing Monday, so I call Tuesday. I get the same answering service. A representative reaches out to me an hour or so later. No big deal. Set up an appointment with them for a Thursday at 4:00. I leave work early, to be home and 4. 5:15 comes and I call. I get the answering service. They reach out to someone and the woman calls me with an attitude and says oh we are coming. Then calls back and asks to reschedule. After rescheduling, someone comes out. I'm getting a standard servicing of my OSB. After the service is complete the guy try's to sell me all kinds of things to upgrade my boiler. He suggests I fix this particular valve and I agree. They have to come back to perform the service again. After their final visit I'm left with a nice mess on a freshly painted basement floor. I used these guys because of the generally good reviews. Terrible customer ervice. Twice I was given a window of time and the service technician was over and hours behind. They never call and update you and the office seems very disinterested. Constantly making excuses for the service rep with no regard to the customer. I have a service contract with them which does not seem to matter at all. If you are thinking about getting a HVAC with Marshalls think again! Paid around 8k for a heat pump/air conditioner and have had nothing but problems for 8 years. I've been nickled and dimed to death by this company putting an additional 4K into the unit over the last 8 years. They installed my outside compressor on cider blocks and after 3 years it started to become unstable and wanted to charge me 1k to fix their initial mistake. Every year when I was receiving routine maintenance there would be another problem with the unit. Final straw was this week when they told me I had a leak and it would take 3k to fix I was actually happy to buy another HVAC system with another company so I don't have to deal with Marshall's ever again! read more

Terrible customer service!!!!! Very unprofessional!! We purchased the Marshall Total Comfort maintenance package in June 2022 after a bad experience with another company. In August 2022 we experienced an issue with a shower not getting hot water. We attempted to repair the issue on our own but were not successful. We phoned Marshalls to request a technician, tech was sent to our house the next day. We had already disassembled the shower valves. Upon arrival the tech went into the bathroom looked at the shower could not tell us the name of the part that needed to be replaced told us to look it up on the internet or Home Depot. The technician left within 5 minutes of his arrival charging us $250, but told us there was a $35 coupon that we could use but we had to call the office to get a credit as he was unable to apply it to the invoice. I immediately called the office and requested an explanation for the charges as estimates under their maintenance package are free, asked if the $250 was for the installation of the part after I purchased it would he return to do the installation the response was not for him to return and do the installation the additional charges would be $400, which we declined. Fast forward to end of October 2022, I have made several attempts over the last several months to to get an explanation for the charges and/or the "credit" of $35 that could be applied to the invoice. I also disputed the charges with my credit card company, Marshall sent the credit card company an invoice showing charges as "Custom Plumbing" $250, what custom plumbing you did nothing!! Every time I phone the office I get promised a call back before the end of the day, after they research the issue with the technician and no one ever returns my call. I have also requested a copy of the itemized invoice that was sent to my credit card company as the technician was unable to give me when he charged my credit card, I have never received this. Will never take their maintenance contract again nor have they provided the "free check-up" of our HVAC system that is supposed to be part of the contract. Friendly service people but I had a horrible experience with an new air conditioning purchase. Horrible communication start to finish. They installed the incorrect Air conditioner, did not install the UV sanitation package, cut three roof trusses, agreed to install the correct air conditioner but then without communication tried to install a conversion kit. Don't use their online chat as it does. It seem to be connected to the business. After re-install AC unit failed to start And tech spent about 4 hrs trying to get the Lennox unit to run. From what I read the conversion kit could have voided the 10 warranty. The front office seems very disconnected and escalated issues seem to go no where. read more

When It came time for 2021 maintenance, the technician let me know the system I was sold was considered 'surgical-ward grade.' okay, I've enjoyed it for about 2-4years now (but feel suckered by the young, bright salesman looking at a great commission, probably). I used Marshall to fix a slight leak I noticed in an oil tank before moving into a home I purchased. They came out in May 2019 to "fix" the leak, and I had the oil tank filled the next day. When I went to move in 3 days later, I noticed the tank actively leaking in a brand new spot, seeping into the ground and crevices around it. It was obvious that the tech produced a larger leak than what I initially called Marshall for. I called them and they said they could send someone to fix it only if I paid their $129 after-hours service fee. I did not believe that was fair, so I put a bucket under the leak and waited for them to come 2 full days later. They did fix the leak they created, but they never cleaned up the oil that from the leak they caused. I called the next day to request they clean the spill they caused. People from their company have been back to my home 3 times to "fix" the spill, but that mainly consisted of spreading powder and spraying air freshener, and the smell of oil obviously remains. I had an environmental specialist check the toxicity of the spill, and they confirmed Marshall hasn't done nearly enough to clean the spill. The VOCs where the spill occurred is higher than the recommendation to live in. I've called Marshall numerous times to ask them to properly clean the spill they created, and their office staff have been rude (Donna and Erin) and now just completely ignore my calls and send me straight to their answering service + never return messages. I have no other option now than to have them sort this out with the EPA. read more

Marshall Services - The leak 10 mins after initially wiping it - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Skippack, Pennsylvania

We recently had Marshall Services at our home for an A/C spring service. The technician immediately said "I'll check your furnace as a favor", that raised my suspicions. He performed a few tests and said "look at this flame, its higher than the rest" indicating that we had issues with the heat exchange, he also said the unit is too big for our home, thus causing premature failure in the heat exchange. He then checked the A/C and came back stating we were low 3lbs of freon. Total cost for repairing the A/C was over $2K and the heat exchange $6K. He immediately said that he will have his sales team call me for quotes on a new system...I contacted another local HVAC and they performed the same tests as Marshall did and they stated both the A/C and furnace tested OK. To be safe, I contacted a 3rd HVAC company that has a contract with our HOA (knowing they would be honest and not risk losing the HOA contract) they also stated after a through inspection that the HVAC was working fine and we were NOT low on freon. I'm certain that both companies would have been more than willing to sell us a new HVAC but was honest with their inspections. Also, the Marshall tech "failed" to reinstall the caps on the Hi/Lo valves, and left cigarette butts, just another indication of poor quality work. I contacted Jason @ Marshall and he stood by his claim that his tests were accurate and the 2 other companies were lying. I am getting another local company and if their tests prove the same as the other 2, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Pennsylvania State Attorney General's office. I also indicated to Jason about his poor reviews on yelp and he stated "yelp only posts negative reviews"...another one of their lies. For some reason, I trusted Marshalls. Big mistake. Had them install a furnace. Checked around later to find they had overcharged by $2,000. Yes, TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS! They also tried to add on ANOTHER $3,000 (!) for an Air conditioner. We never even discussed the Air conditioner! It was never mentioned and there was nothing wrong with it! But they tried to sneak it in there. And the New Furnace had a DEFECTIVE PART! Do NOT trust them! My hot water heater busted & was leaking in my basement on a Sunday morning, Naturally freaking out, I called Marshall services to come out for an emergency appointment. So the tech that came out said since we were not the original owners of the house and the tank was bought in 2014; we would have to replace our Bradford White 50 gallon propane tank. Of course me being a stupid naïve woman took him for his word only later to find out that our Bradford White water heater Was under warranty for six years and the tech that came out should have known how to look up our warranty info by model and serial number! I actually have a copy of the original home owners receipt for the hot water heater warranty 6 years!! I feel they were completely negligent and screwed us on the $3200 they charged us to put a new 48 gallon tank in with a one-year warranty what kind of screwball business are they running!! Avoid this company. I do not know if they used to be good, but our experience has been a nightmare. It started with our air conditioner icing over. We called Marshall's and after they came out they stated we needed a whole new system. We scheduled it for June 9th. Cost was $8000. Brad came, installed new system.. the next day guess what, the system was icing over again. The NEW system was doing what the "broken" one had been doing. We call, Brad comes back out the next Friday... only to say, after 3 hrs here, that he doesn't know what is wrong it might need a part...really? The system you just installed? So was it not installed correct? Says he will order the part.. then we don't here from them. We call, they blow us off... then when we finally get someone out, he says... oh, the part was never ordered. Then weeks later, comes out, oops, it's the wrong part. Are you serious. This place seems to be run by incompetent people. Weeks go by, hear nothing. We call, they say, oh Brad has been sick... yeah, and? You are telling me NO one else can do anything? Even communicate to us? We paid $8000 for a new system that has not worked! We finally get a guy Brian, who states it was not installed correctly, it is off center and restricting the airflow, causing it to ice up, and we need a valve... again, on a brand new system. Everyone points fingers, no one seems to know anything...here we are in October... and still NOTHING from them. They sure took our money, but our air still does not work, no one responds or takes any accountability or does the job right. On the negative side, I've communicated countless times with the owner who has replied below. What he says on the phone he does not honor later. We've spent over $12K on Marshall Home Comfort services in the past couple years. Most issues we've not been pleased with, but cannot put all the details in this one review. On the phone, the owner related to me on a personal level and says he donated to CHOP in our sons name. He says he is a man of faith who recognizes his shortcomings and strives to run his company to please God. Later though he turned back on his word regarding oil delivery and service. Initially, he said he couldn't deliver oil there anymore till we got a venting issue corrected by another company since they weren't willing to address it. Additionally, Glenn said he would need to charge us storage fees for the oil we purchased if we could not use it in time. So we agreed to have it delivered to our house as well as the rental house. We paid another company to address the venting issue. Marshall Home Comfort was notified by phone . Still the tenants ran out of oil. They charged $338 (which they said would be refunded because we had pre-paid) to prime and start the furnace. Previously, at their recommendation we had pre-paid $3,848 in oil at $3.49 per gallon to save us money, which since they didn't honor their price protection ended costing us more than $1000 more than if we would have purchased from another company as this year average at other companies has been below $2.20 per gallon. Glenn says because of the venting issue we were taken off the auto delivery and had 48 hours to have the issue corrected, since it wasn't corrected in a week instead of 2 days, they had to charge an additional $338 to walk in side prime and start the system with 20 gallons. The tenants stated he did not even do that and shortly thereafter I paid another company to do the same thing which was much more reasonable in price. Glenn refuses to refund this. There's alot more I could write regarding expensive repairs that had to be redone within a week by another HVAC/plumbing company. They fixed what Marshall technicians messed up and were a fraction of the cost. Marshall did a toilet rebuild for more than it cost to get a new toilet. They wanted to charge over $800 for their "bare minimum" toilet option. The other company replaced their expensive "toilet rebuild" with a new toilet for much less money. Also the other company had to properly service the furnace since it had things had been done incorrectly or skipped altogether even though we had paid for the Marshall Home Comfort Platinum service protection plan. Additionally I have emails from Glenn, bullying us with deadlines to remove this review and sign his legal agreement so that then he would give part of my money back since we were dis-satisfied. What craziness - he wouldn't even refund the remainder of the amount we had prepaid for oil, let alone refunding money for not being pleased. That claim hasn't come anywhere close to truth in our dealings with them the past couple of years. Never get tied into pre-paying thousands of dollars to a small company for oil or other prepaid service contracts. Pay only when the work has been completed. Be vigilant for frequent billing "errors", double charges, and service "mistakes" if you choose to deal with Marshall Home comfort. There are companies with better customer service that provide alot better value for the services and product fees you pay. If you want long term service contract without issues, look elsewhere. read more

I have a package plan for heating and air conditioning service and they have one of the best dual plans in the Phoenixville, PA area. I was even able to use a $69.00 coupon toward a part that was needed for our outdoor unit along with another 15% discount for having the yearly plan I purchased. I have hired Marshall 5 times for 4 different things: HVAC, plumbing, gas line installation, heater inspection. I have found them courteous, on time, qualified, willing to go the extra mile. One guy gave me his sell number if I needed anything over the weekend! Which I used! The only complaint if I had one was the price they gave me for an outdoor drain. I cleaned out the drain I have and it words fine now...15 minutes of work. In any case, I will continue to use them. Their customer service is excellent. Worst service ever! They made promises that they did not keep and provided defective equipment. Very unprofessional! They provided an HVAC system that does not meet the needs of our home. We are cold all winter and we are hot all summer. The first thermostat they provided had a cracked screen so they replaced it. The next thermostat is defective and shuts off. Now they want to charge me charge up to $350 to fix it under warranty. I can buy a new thermostat for $119 online or go to Best Buy where it is on sale for $199 today. They promised the HVAC came with a tax rebate and it did not. Desiree tried so kindly in a really nice voice to continue to repeat herself that it would be more than the cost of a new thermostat just to unscrew a screw and unplug 5 wires and then re-screw a new thermostat to the wall and plug the 5 wires back in. Marshall's just wants to take more money from me because they can . Since I did not fall for her gimmick and am a total pain of a customer for thinking that Marshall's would actually stand by their services, I will need to take my business elsewhere. Admits that it was her mistake to put the order through but is threatening collections if i don't pay for her mistake. If I could leave a zero rating, I would. Please DO NOT spend your money on this company. I spent over $10,000 on a new HVAC system. The system runs fine, it's the comapny that sucks! I got the unit back in 2017. According to the company, I am supposed to have it serviced every 6 months, something I would have done with or without a warranty. Everytime (with the exception of one), the company Marshall, has cancelled on me. I have been treeated so horribly by them it is frightening. Brianna and Rebecca could not be any less compassionate, especially Rebecca. I can only pray that she is mistreated and spoken to in the manner in which I was. Obviously, she was absent the day customer service was being taught. I understand emergencies occur, but if your commercials and advertisements are focusing on customer satisfaction, I'd love to know how this is satisfying. I still have not had the unit serviced. Rebecca's answer is for them to come out in February, when they aren't so "busy". (It is now December.) Try hiring some more technicians! We've been with Marshall since we purchased our home in the winter of 2010. Since it was already the middle of winter when we needed an oil fill, it was an interesting time to figure out who we should go with and we tried a lot of the big names for oil. We had a lot of questions and none of them seemed interested in helping us navigate what we needed to know. We decided to check out a smaller company, glad we did. Glen took the time to explain how it all works as far as pricing, service, service agreements, monthly budget, auto delivery etc. Everyone who has come to our home since has been excellent. We have had furnace problems and they have come right away or the next morning. When they come for the yearly maintenance they have always been on time and been very clean. Now it all hasn't been perfect, we are on a budget plan with auto delivery. This past year was the coldest so we went over our yearly budget but we were assured we would get our refill, we would just be billed for that. That sounded great. I was worried it was getting too low and my husband assured me they would come. (I do wish we would have called) Sadly, we ran out of oil. They explained their software had a problem and a lot of things for a period of time had been done manually - human error was introduced. We didn't have heat overnight and I decided we would stay in a hotel instead. They did show up the very first thing in the morning to fill us up. I am a Realtor who sold my client a property, and after settlement she had Marshall services come out to repair a small leak to her oil tank. In the process of repairing a small leak they made the problem worst, and won't come back out to properly clean up the massive oil spill that they caused in my client's home. I have called the company and left messages, my client have called the company and left messages, and when we speak to the secretaries we are told that someone will return our calls, but to date no one has returned our calls. We have finally decided to post reviews on line hoping this will spur Marshall to do the right thing. Instead of doing the right thing, they keep responding to the reviews that my client have posted on line (after trying for nearly 6 months to get them to do the right thing) that they contacted her, and will contact her again, which they have not happened to date. I have never worked with a company with such outstanding service. From the first phone call with Jill, who was very informative and friendly, to Josh, who didn't expect to have to be at my house for three days, but cleared his schedule to accommodate me. Everything was explained in layman's terms so that I could understand what needed to be done. After the job was finished, Josh went above and beyond to clean up and leave my house as it was when he first arrived. In my opinion, you get what you pay for, and I definitely got my money's worth.
