I like local markets. I dislike when they are out of the reason I stopped. But I understand. You advertise fresh cider in January? People will claim it all. I could have taken a gallon on the road with me, but not sure how that would have kept. So I looked around and went with a fresh-baked cinnamon roll and some fresh-made scrapple. Yup. They make scrapple here. That's pretty cool. Not cool? I asked for a half pound. I got closer to a pound. The lady (owner?) gave me a blank look when I asked for less. Because she couldn't mold it back into the loaf or something. I ended up going with it but she should have accommodated and given me what I asked for. Scrapple was the best you'll find this far out of scrapple country. Roll was delicious. My friend enjoyed his homemade pumpkin crumb cake. Other products, I wouldn't bother. A lot of their branded products are overpriced. I asked about their (homemade?) pecans and she said "price is on the bottom of each jar". Actually, a lot of jars were missing the price. So we've got some consistency issues here. I would classify this as a boutique market, a nice little stop if you have a craving, but I wouldn't make this a regular stop. (Sadly, if only they kept up with their cider doughnuts through midday, my review may have ended differently.) read more

I live in Pennsylvania & routinely come here for their peanut butter specifically. It's so healthy & it's absolutely delicious. I also tend to get jams & fruit here, but mainly the peanut butter. I've never had an issue with the customer service, everyone has been nice to me. read more

I haven't had the food yet but it looks good. A lot of produce but the cost of the rudest costumer service ever so rude and I'm not a Karen trust me.The lady was rude and sound annoyed evan with a old lady. Just a wonderful roadside farmstand. A bunch of fresh fruits and vegetables and they must have 200 little jars of jams and jellies. Lots of home made pies but for me, the apple cider doughnuts are to die for. I usually hate cake doughnuts. The thought of eating a Dunkin' Doughnut makes me queasy. These are transplendent. So moist, so fresh, so flavorful. I usually promise to make half a dozen last a couple days and don't make it past a couple hours. Granted, they are kind of small but irresistible. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive from my house just for the doughnuts. read more

When I'm driving down Route 46 are usually pass Marshalls Farm market and this time I stopped. They sell produce, Fruit, flowers and gourmet foods in this rural setting. The farm market has been here for years. I don't know if The present owners are originals. I feel the prices are a bit high for what they offer. This is an annual stop for me before Halloween to buy pumpkins and enjoy the fall. I will never pass up a donut and they have great cider donuts here. They also have home made pies which are reasonable and very good. The store is jam packed with locally produced jams, jellies, salsa's, and awesome honey. During the fall they have apples by the basket and have in season produce all year along with a deli counter with cheese and bacon. If you like peanuts, home made peanut butter, and fresh pickles you will be happy here too. The people who work here are great and l have never had a bad experience.....always asking if you need anything and are helpful if you ask. They also make yard furniture which I have never bought but looks very nice. I always like to support locally owned businesses and Marshall's has been here forever and will continue to get my business whenever I am in the area. read more

Stopped by and got a few items, apple cider, apple cider donuts, a strawberry rhubarb pie, an onion, and some hard candy. This is possibly the best apple cider I've ever had. I'm trying to think if a better apple cider and honestly I can't come up with anything. It tastes like apples, which may seem like an odd thing to say about apple cider but it's the first thing that came to my mind when I took a sip, a real apple taste not an artificial apple flavor like most cider is or any apple juice from a grocery store. Would go back just to buy more cider. The cider donuts are also good, better than average. The shoo-fly pie was dry bottom, a very good pie, but my personal preference is for wet-bottom shoofly pie. A cute store, they also have 3 time smoked bacon which I want to try. Will be back for cider. read more

Ever since our trip to kaaterskill falls, I haven't been able to stop thinking about Wallkill Farm Market's cinnamon apple cider doughnut. That was the first time I ever tried such a delicious and novel way to make a doughnut so I decided to go on a quest to find another one. So for our next hiking trip, we stumbled upon this market. It's a bit tinier than Wallkill's and the selection is very limited. Nonetheless we still bought the doughnuts and for a super cheap price!! When I opened up the bag, I was so happy to find not 3 but 6 doughnuts inside!!! Wallkill sold one doughnut for around $1.50 already so this one was such a better deal. But the taste did not match that of Wallkill's but it was still very good once I nuked it for 20 seconds. read more

Cute place but overpriced for what they offered. I also was disconcerted by their deli case with a dead fly floating in the pickle juice of the pickles. Very scenic place makes for nice photos and as I like to support local businesses we did buy a salsa. Overall I was underwhelmed. read more

Marshall's has become on of our traditional fall stops. A well maintained farm stand with plenty of fresh local produce and honey. They also have a butcher shop in the back with some of the finest looking bacon around. The back and side of the market are decorated for Halloween with lots of fun places for young kids to play and hide. They have a small but fun corn maze as well. A good place to stop especially if you have young kids. read more

Marshall's has hands down the best apple cider donuts in the tri-state area. Their backyard Fall Festival display is great for kids of all ages. Their Produce & Deli counter and goods that they sell are awesome they carry fresh ground peanut butter honey pickled items fresh fruit and produce flowers fudge cider donuts and lots of other things. Their staff is wonderful it's a nice little stop for everyone definitely a must-see we drive 3 hours just for their donuts. read more

I stumbled upon this place 7 years ago while our family made our annual trip to the Poconos. I met this young woman, Holly, who I thought was the owner. She was always such a delight and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was always smiling and went out of her way to make us and our grandchildren feel special. We enjoyed seeing her every time we stopped in. I saw how she was treated by the two owners of this business, and she had told us that she was physically assaulted by the owner, Dominic, on more than one occasion. I told her that she should file charges against him, but she had explained that one of the family members was a lawyer and nothing would ever happen to them. My husband told her that she should quit, but she said that she loved her customers too much to leave. We stopped by this past weekend in anticipation to see her, but was told by one of the girls at the checkout counter, that she had quit about a month ago. We are deeply saddened that Holly is no longer there, but we wish her the very best. The atmosphere was not the same without her smile, laughter and how she made us feel like family. We no longer have any reason to stop at this farm stand. The owners treat their employees terribly, smoke inside of the building, are not handicap accessible, their table full of samples were full of flys and are greatly overpriced for mediocre products. From now on, my family and I will boycott this farm, and will never give this place another cent. My family and friends will no longer shop here either. We had even started coming down more often because of Holly. Our family and friends had started camping down here as well, but that will no longer happen. It's a shame that Holly quit, because she truly made the experience joyful and a delight for us. She was the sole reason that we had done so much business over the years there. We had spent well over $100 every time that we visited. The owners must be pretty stupid to let her leave. I'm sure that we are not the only people that feel this way. Do yourself a favor and do NOT shop here. My family, friends and I will NEVER shop here again. There are plenty of other farm stands in the area that are much nicer than Marshall Farm Stand. I've never not been greeted with a smile and I look forward to every visit. Today I visited the market for the first time with family. I was turned away when I saw the women owner talking with a customer who had a small dog. The owner took the dog from the customer and was curious to see how much it weighed. I could not believe me eyes when I saw the owner place the dog in the same scale they use for their meat products (sausage, bacon etc). Then the male owner was handling the dog and the dog was licking the bacon smell from his hands ---- owner didn't even look to wash his hands after this all ended. I will not return to this establishment for this reason plus majority of their glass products are overpriced. read more

I always sup by when IM in town, although the last time I went I wanted to bring back some locally grown Jersey products to take back down south with me.... corn wasn't really I.n season yet so it was from another state, as was most of the produce, I did find some apple butter and other preserves that they said they made there. We live locally and sample/purchase food from a number of establishments in the area. This places boasted of the sweetest corn so one day my husband and I decided to stop by since we were in the area. We bought their corn and apple cider donut. I've tasted sweeter corn... the sweetest we found was the farm stand (on the way to Phillipsburg, not Peacefield? - name escapes me at the moment) on 57, that sold truly sweet corn (even gave us 7 extra pieces of corn for the price of a baker's dozen). The best apple cider donut we've had is at Mackey's on rt. 519. Marshall's Farm charged about $3.79 for 6 small apple cider donuts (I am shaking my head right now). Mackey's sells bigger apple cider donuts for 1 dozen... Marshall's Farm market...If this place is not a tourist trap then I do not know what is. On my first and only visit, I was browsing and thought I could smell cigarette smoke. Sure could - one of their employees was walking around the store with a lit cigarette. They were selling American chestnuts, but when I asked how to prepare them no one there knew how. I'd recommend one of the other stands in the area. read more
