It should be called Marstall Experience! Food, entertainment, beer & other libations were excellent! Surprised to find a spot for the two of us at one of the long tables in the evening (the place looks packed). Pleasantly SHOCKED when the band played-they were incredibly good! We (like all of the other Oktoberfesters there that night) danced on our benches! I didn't know all the songs or words, but the music was so moving! Final review: Wunderbar!

Not as well known as the Augustiner, Hofbräu, or Spaten tents, Marstall occupies prime real estate as the tent closest to the north entrance/exit to the festival grounds. After wandering around for a while (and failing to find any place to sit at the Spaten tent), I came to the Marstall beer garden, got a table, and quickly got a litre of Spaten's festival brew. Since it's just busy enough to take in the Oktoberfest vibe while still having seats to spare in the late afternoon, this is a good tent to let the hours slip away. Be sure to grab a pretzel on the way out and take a listen to the band; they manage to slip some familiar American tunes in between the beer hall classics

We went here in the evening thinking that it would be full. There were some seats available so we were able to stay. We ordered a pork dish that was awesome. Also had the spaetzle with cheese that was also great. I had a liter of beer and we enjoyed the music. A great evening with dancing and having fun with some of the locals. Totally what Oktoberfest was meant to be.

Customers called our date's offensive names for speaking English, their customer base believes in only German establishments.

Was there on the evening of the 18th. Band was rocking, food was delicious and the beer cold, memorable evening

It's 2026 and I went back in October 2022... but we seriously can't stop thinking about this place!…read moreWe were in town for Oktoberfest and stayed at an Airbnb a few blocks from this restaurant. We came across it on our first night and went back at least 2 more times on our stay. Everything we tried was great and even for it being such a busy season we had great service and while packed didn't feel overwhelming or crowded. From current reviews it sounds like they may have switched to a digital menu but we had a paper one when we were there. Seriously can't wait to go back and hopefully it's as good as we remember. I'll have to remember to take more photos of the food.

They have indoor and outdoor seating and great service no matter where you sit. The outdoor seating was far enough away from the walking thoroughfare, so that you could enjoy the people watching without having them pass right next to you. The food was very good, much better than I expected. In fact, we liked it so much we went back for a second visit, which was a different meal choice and another very good experience. In total we ordered the white asparagus, the side salad, meatloaf with potato salad, rosemary potatoes and a prosciutto pizza. The meatloaf was really a loaf of Ham style meat. They served it with some mustard and potato salad. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The prosciutto pizza was very good with a good amount of cheese. The side salad had just about every color of the rainbow and was very good. A salad like this is such a difficult thing to find when you are traveling, I definitely enjoyed some greens with my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were staying at the Charles Hotel close by and saw that this beer hall had some solid reviews and was a short walk away. Germany is not famous for it's manners so we weren't surprised when the man behind the counter was not very polite when we entered and waited to be sat, but our waiter was very polite and made up for it. It's very large on the inside, quite noisy, and was filled with very large groups. We were a couple and did not feel out of place, rather it was fun to people watch. The pricing is very fair and the portion sizes are large. They have a giant drink menu as well but I chose the lager our waiter recommended and loved it, so much so that I got two. For my dinner, I chose the sausage combo plate, which was a mix of four different sausages and honestly, each of them was great. I especially like the spicy one, but, I ate all four of them pretty quickly. This place is very casual, but also very lively and a fun place to stop in when in Munich. I would recommend to any traveler, as well as to any local.

Both of our servers were great in their own way. One of them took the time to talk with us for quite a while, while the other one was quite comedic and encouraged us to try some Pasta mit Spargel. It was massive, but quite tasty. We would easily come here regularly.
