She sought out a plea bargain for me that back dated my credit for time served so I would get the credit for the year I had already been incarcerated. Come to find out that my plea agreement wasn't lawful or legal. So then after finding out that Oregon department of corrections wouldn't honor my plea agreement me and my family called and called to ask Anna Lasher to simply go to bat for me and get me the credit for time served that she, the prosecuting attorney, and judge all signed off on she blew me and my family off and wouldn't return our calls. Going through these people was a costly decision and the worst decision I've ever made because it cost me an entire year of my life that I will never get back. If you're considering hiring these people or Anna Lasher herself, just save your money because you'll end up needing it while you're in prison anyway. You would have a better chance at winning your case by representing yourself or even hiring someone from your nearest homeless encampment to represent you in court. Absolutely and completely incompetent at their jobs.

I thought since i was the not-at-fault driver that I wouldn't need an attorney because it was pretty straight forward. Quickly I learned quite the opposite. Within about a week of reporting the accident I was sent tons of mail from Geico asking me to fill out a ton of information (keep in mind I'm trying to recover from a severe accident with horrible whiplash and other painful injuries including ptsd). I couldn't even believe the overwhelming amount of paperwork they wanted me to read and handle so I immediately called Keith and told him I would love for him to help me. He took over everything and basically told me I didn't have to lift a finger and he would contact me immediately if I need to know anything. My situation ended up being tricky seeing that I have the worst insurance company out there and the other driver also had Geico. This resulted in Geico not wanting to spend money helping me recover. Keith walked me through the entire process of how Geico deals with these things and what they will likely do (based off of past clients and many other business colleagues who deal with Geico insurance). Long story short, (since there would be so much to explain about why) After tons of questions, Keith giving me plenty of his time through back and forth e-mails, and a few phone calls likely ranging from 20-60 minutes my husband and I decided we just didn't want to deal with nasty Geico and I just wanted to move on with my life and try to put all the accident stuff behind me if possible. We chose to accept the unfair settlement from Geico and move on with life. Keith was extremely kind and generous and gave me a surprise client discount which increased the portion I would be receiving back from the settlement. I'm not saying anyone should expect this but it just goes to show that he is a good man and a good attorney. Even my in laws were shocked when they heard this. He was tremendously kind, right after my mom had been confirmed with an Alzheimer's diagnosis. The fees were reasonable, it was easy to get it all finished, and I thought it worked out well. A word of advice, keep hold of your documents, make copies, lock them up, put a fire breathing dragon outside them to guard them... ours went missing ( there's a possibility my mom destroyed them, sigh) and when I went back to them for help ( granted, a few years later), they didn't have a file for her anymore, or the documents in their computer. My mom's Alzheimer's is now too advanced for them to do them again. She had to be reasonably competent to get that done. This sucked. They were nice about it, explaining they'd changed computer systems, but it still sucked. Now I have to figure out how to go after guardianship probably. The second time I went to see Vicki Vernon about a family law issue. She was kind enough, but now that I have been around the block a bit more, I know that she's not quite the shark I would need to accomplish what I was setting out to accomplish. I dropped this proceeding and she was kind enough about that, as well, handling that very professionally. I think this is an ok little law firm if you are doing something simple, but you might want to reach out to someone more sharky if you want to do something big. Does that make sense?

Very professional and honest. Sam managed the details of this case, gave me the opportunity to sit in on the defendant's deposition which was very enlightening. Then it was my turn for a deposition. Sam was much more prepared for this meeting than the defendant's team. Calm, respectful yet determined to get needed information from the defendant. He possesses good communication, analytical, people, listening, and negotiation skills. I learned it would have been a much easier case had I immediately sought care from a regular medical doctor (MD) in the beginning instead of just going to Chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy. I didn't know any better. It was never suggested to me to get checked by a Medical Doctor until I spoke to Rizk Law.
