I called an accountant in that state I'd been referred to but five calls all went to voice mail and two messages weren't returned, so I decided to look locally and called these folks. Thompson was VERY knowledgeable and gave me all the info I needed to know on the phone. I offered to pay, of course. People in fields like this are selling knowledge and as basically a knowledge worker myself (network engineer) I told him I'd be glad to pay his fee because "I don't work for free and don't expect you to." He laughed but refused any payment though we probably talked for 10-15 minutes, just asked to maybe use them for my taxes next year. You can't beat that.
