Chances are if it's not in this shop then the paper/magazine you're after isn't going to be in Seaton Delaval. Being so close to the school, it gets bombarded with kids stocking up on sweets. The card selection is limited and you won't find bargains but it's handy to have at your door step none the less. Friendly enough staff who sell the odd winning scratch card.

An average sized version of Spar which sells magazines, papers, polish food and plenty of alcohol…read more Electricity and phones can be topped up here using the machine which also doubles up as a cash machine (that of course costs to use). They do not top up edf gas. Until recently they stopped selling Green & Blacks chocolate because it was too expensive and the cheapo citizens of Bensham weren't buying any. The staff are friendly enough and it's run by an older couple. Stop here to get change for the bus if you ever find yourself stranded on Saltwell Road.
