Review Highlights - Martin Tree Service

Totally professional, extremely pleasant, and an amazing job of removing our half dead oak tree, plus trimming five other trees on our property.

I've compared their prices to others and find them to be very reasonable I also trust this company and it owner Anthony. Definitely recommend.

Some of my neighbors had work done by Tree Monkeys over several years and were happy with their…read moreservice. So this year 3 of us decided to hire them to trim our palms. Their quote was a little higher than my usual company but I agreed to work with my neighbors on this group job. We were disappointed that the date given for the job was a month away. On the arranged date they arrived at the scheduled time though and started work. When they got to my property they had trimmed 3 out of 5 trees when the climber came down and some very loud words were exchanged among the workers. Due to machine noise I couldn't hear what they said. But as I looked from inside my house I could see from their gestures that they were arguing. My neighbor, who was outside then, told me later that they were really going at it. Just then one worker took the ladder down and started to leave my yard. I ran outside to ask why they weren't trimming the last 2 trees and was told someone had an emergency at home and they'd come back later. But when I asked when, the response was we'll have to check with the office. Happily, the workers arrived early the next morning and completed the job. They did an ok job cleaning up and even returned to do additional cleaning later. Unlike other trimmers I've had, they didn't move my outdoor furniture back to its rightful place and at that point I was just grateful the trimming was completed. Personally I can't imagine doing this difficult job climbing trees and having debris fall all over you on a hot, humid, summer Florida day. So I'm grateful the job was completed. I did notice later they had broken my old, rusty garden hose holder that had hung on a yard post. When I called about it the office asked me to send a photo. I did so; but since I never heard back I'm assuming that's one additional chore I'll need to do myself. The trees look very good. I'm pleased about that. But I could have been more pleased if the work had been done in a more timely fashion and without the drama. I also realize my usual tree trimming company has spoiled me with their courtesy and with re placing my outdoor furniture in its rightful spot. Next time I think I'll stick with the old company.

He graded our dirt driveway, topped it with crushed shell and compacted it. He also leveled our front walkway, bringing in fill were it was needed, then topping it with compacted crushed concrete fines. We can opt for further treatment of the walkway, with some pea gravel our stepping stones, but he said it should be suitable to leave it as is. I kind of like the rustic, beachy look! It suits the property. Not the least of which was the service he provided to fill, level and compact the area where we wanted to install our new stepping stone patio. His prep work made our DIY installation a breeze. When we were finished, he came back and compacted the patio so we could finish the job with polymeric sand. To top everything off, he helped us rehang our huge stag horn fern that has been sitting on the ground since Hurricane Milton blew it out of the tree in October of 2024. Ryan's a really nice guy, a local Chuluotan, very professional and very skilled. If you need any excavation, grading, land clearing, material hauling, tree services, junk removal, property management and construction preparation we highly recommend him.
