My husband and I went to marty wright in Bennettsville sc and spoke to John Lowe. At first we thought he was going to help us get a home then things changed. He won't answer my text, reads them but doesn't answer them. It takes around 2 minutes to send a text. John wanted us to purchase land in Wallace but we don't want that area. He said they could get us land in Ruby, Chesterfield, or Jefferson area. John called and said that that had land in Ruby and would call me with the directions. A few days went by and i text him for the address.​ That was Friday I sent him the text it's now Wednesday, May 28th, still no word from John. We were ready to give him money to start the process but we can't deal with someone who acts like we don't matter. We will find our home but it won't be with a company that doesn't won't to help us. read more

The absolute worst business you can imagine. Lie,lie and more lies! It's all they know how to do and cost you money. They profess to be a Christian company, so far from it. They promise you the world and deliver on absolutely zero!!!! We purchased a Sunshine home from them, told they were the best builder and hands down the best customer service as far repairs and issues with home. NO!!!! Been in home 3 months and still have not did 1 of the several things spelled out in contract.... Microwave, paint, backsplash, wiring up grade. Not one thing. Multiple phone calls to Sunshine and nothing. Trash dumpster has been sitting in my front yard for at least 6 months. No one from Marty Wright has even made contact to see if we moved into home that took 6 months to hook up once on property. Put it in wrong place, none it looks like a blind person picked out the location for home. Sits on five acres. Oh and just know they will stab you in the back for a dollar in a heartbeat. We even had other home companies tell us Marty Wright himself would make it right, what a joke. I guess it's like his subcontractors say, he can't stay out of the deer stand long enough to run a business. This home has cost us money that you can't imagine. Do not trust Adam or Donald, I promise you will regret meeting them. We did business with the Bennettesville location. We will spend the money to fix the problems but should not have to. Not sure the built in microwave in the wall beside refrigerator is something we will be able to pull off unless we replace all cabinets. We've have numerous questions and they've always got back to us either immediately or within a very reasonable time. If our salesman wasn't available another didn't hesitate to step in and help us. Starting from the beginning... matt seemed uninterested and passed me off to christine, who was uneducated about the vendors used to "set up" the home. She either didn't have the information or chose not to give me the information. Nor did she ever give me a solid number on how much the actual home cost. She kept giving me a round-a-bout number, which was not the number submitted to the bank. She had us sign papers before she filled in the numbers to present to the bank, which was $13000.00 more than what was quoted. Then when we pulled out of the deal, I called to have our down payment refunded. I called on a Tuesday, was told the check would be available on Friday by the same uneducated individual. Then when I called on Friday to see if the check was available I was told it would be the following Friday. I was told they could mail the check. GREAT, that worked for me. I confirmed the address with christine, I also called the Bennettsville office to confirm the address and contact info. However on that following Friday my husband got a phone call saying the check was available for pick-up! HUH? He wanted me to pick it up on Saturday, but I refused to give these folks any of my Mother's Day Weekend!! So my husband picks up the check on Monday, only to find his MIDDLE name on the check?? HUH? His middle name is nowhere on our documents only his drivers license. SO because these people were feeling rejected they tried to hold up our home buying process!! VERY BAD BUSINESS!!! Luckily for me my mom always taught me to have a plan B, C and sometimes D!! Nice Try marty wright home sales. You'll be out of business before you know it with these shady deals you're trying to get people into. Seemed quite upset that I was educated on the questions to ask regarding our forever home. They didn't care one bit about anything but the $$!!
