As long as she has this shop open I will continue to give her my business when I am fortunate enough to visit Pine Grove Mills! An important tip: you MUST make an appointment ahead of time!!!! Don't waste your time driving to the shop unannounced! Parking: I parked on the street right next to the shop. There may be additional parking but I'm not certain. It offers Amish dry goods in a store that appears to be lit by natural light alone. It is run by plain people based on their clothing. While I greatly like many of their materials (cooking tools, games that the Amish play, including board games, toy guns (!), canning supplies, interesting books), their team was adamantly not wearing masks nor was the one customer. Not wearing a mask and pretending that the governor has not put up a mask mandate or that it does not apply to them because "they do not like the governor" is not being Christian as I practice it. To ignore science and to ignore government is not just irresponsible but unChristian, and it not following the Bible that presumably many working and shopping there profess to read and to follow. I'll be back post-pandemic, but I lost some respect for them and for the religion they represent through their clothing, materials, and the design of the store. It is a matter of respect. I don't care if you call me sir, but I do care that you will clog the hospitals with uncessarily sick folks, to the extent that other sick people can't get treated, and that we wear our health care system with a disease that is easily avoided through simple behavioral changes.
