If you or someone you know are considering attending this "School" and are looking for some positive reviews, you might as well just skip this review, because I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this Institution. Ok...where to begin... Their are some very serious issues that need to be recognized. Never in my life have I been involved in any course, school, or work environment so unprofessional, destructive, unorganized, and harmful. I have never in my life been treated with such little respect by my fellow superiors, and having paid nearly $10 000 to be trapped in such a disgraceful, degrading, discouraging, crude environment such as this is a serious problem, not only to me but to all the students severely suffering, On a daily basis Instructors publicly bully, belittle and put down students as well as their fellow coworkers in front of students, I have witnessed Instructors borderline (verbally - emotionally/mentally) abuse students privately/publicly. I have witnessed Instructors mistreat the clients even. Just to be boss for 10 minutes. I have witnessed Instructors be so cruel that they have made grown women break down and cry. This is a Beauty School, not a Boot Camp. I've spoken to more students then I can count on my hands and feet who did not completed the course because they could no longer tolerate the way they were being treated by the Instructors, so this is nothing new. Don't make the same mistake that we did. Do not pay 10 000 of your well earned dollars to be abused, mistreated, degraded, discouraged, and dragged through the dirt. Since I have personally started school here I have never, ever treated anyone (instructors/students) with anything less then the upright most respect and since I have started school here I have either been mistreated or have witnessed other students be mistreated by Marvel Staff: Mrs. Round, Mrs. Thornought, Mrs. Chatterly, Mrs. G, in the following ways: * Bullied Students * Favouritism * Belittled Students * Singled out * Threatened * (Publicly) Humiliated * Gossips about Students * Gossips to Students * Disrespected *Invaded the privacy of Student * Made inappropriate comments about students sexuality * Made inappropriate comments about students financial situations * Discouraged * Talked down to * Degraded * Interfere with Students personal life * Made inappropriate comments about students race And the list goes on... Theyll teach you whatever they feel like whenever they feel like it. Theory, ALWAYS getting cancelled. They will pull classes out from theory because people are lined up waiting to cash in their "Free Hair Cut Vouchers". Send them away! We are scheduled to be on the floor 4 1/2 days a week. We have 1 1/2 days a week of Theory - assuming it doesn't get cancelled. And they wonder why people aren't learning the Theory? Maybe because they aren't getting any Theory days. What did we pay 10 000 dollars for? SEND PEOPLE AWAY...our Education is more important....but that's according to me - the "know nothing student". Theyll grade your work according to how theyre feeling that day or whether or not they like you. So, if this hasn't changed your mind about attending Marvel, make sure you do a lot of ass kissing, bring em all their Timmies, snitch out the slackers and you'll be golden. If we are tardy they dock us to the nearest 15 minute of the hour we arrive to school at. Mean while we spend well over an hour and a half in total per day waiting for our teachers to arrive from their breaks to let us in and teach us. I for one did not pay $10 000 to sit in a dark, dank, dirty hallway waiting, and waiting to be taught something, anything. And as for the one in charge, the Director, Rose. At the very beginning I thought that you were just an innocent bystanders. The more thought I put into it and the closer I paid attention, the more I realized that you're just as guilty as the rest, if not more, in your own little way. You know EXACTLY what goes on in this school. You know everything. You've admitted that the way we are being treated by the Instructors is "disgusting" yet you do absolutely nothing about it. All you do is sit in your office, listen to all of the students serious complaints, agree with the student, tell them what they want to hear and do nothing to resolve the issues. You are their boss. They behave only how you allow them to behave. No other institution, establishment, business, corporation would have actively employed staff that behave or treat people this way. Surely you must know why, they get FIRED! Honestly, I am surprised that Marvel doesn't have any pending law suits. Hows that for a review??? read more

This is a decent school when it comes to the material being taught, but it has some of the most childish unprofessional teachers I have ever met. The instructors power trip against each other, as well as the students. It's very evident that they have no formal education to be teachers or how to interact with students in a professional manner. They think being able to do a perm, makes them an automatic instructor. Seriously, the instructors act like they are girls fighting in high school and bullying those they can. Mrs. Round that is supposedly being groomed for management is the worst. If you or your child are thinking about going to school at Marvel Beauty London, think long and hard about it. It may be a very costly mistake. Once they have your money, they don't care what you think. Spend your time and money elsewhere. HA! You think its sad that people are so immature that they have to post on the internet, yet here you are...posting on the internet about how sad it is that people are posting on the internet. Which is worse? My guess is that you must be one of these "Instructors" that these students are ranting about. And you are absolutely right about one thing! - respect is earned, not just given, and it is VERY evident that these so called instructors of this so called school have not "EARNED" any respect from their students, sad. I am a graduate of Marvel. It's very sad to say, but the reviews here are very accurate. They are very descriptive of what I went through while I attended. The program is 10 months long, and the director does tell you what you want to hear and pretend like she cares. She tries to keep you pacified just long enough to get you out the door, and new group in the door. It is time for change!!!! read more

Poor excuse for a school, teachers argued with students in front of customers. Management is the poorest I've every seen. There head office is based in Toronto and I would think that they haven't been there in years. What a complete mess of a business. Time to clean house and get professionals to run this place !! read more
