Miss Anita herself started the haircut to show the student how it's done and periodically came up to check on her even though she was busy with her own client. After looking at the pictures I had brought to show what I wanted she gave me good advice and suggestions as to what would work on me and what won't. End result was amazing! I loved my haircut and it cost less than $30! But the thing that stood out the most was the outstanding customer service! Definitely recommend and will be going back:)

School was very unsanitary with many things. There was mucus on the bathroom walls and it was never…read morecleaned. All products used were expired and caused allergic reactions and breakouts to myself and many other people. Students were constantly being put down for using products on the grounds of the product being "expensive". Several instances of students crying and in pain during treatments and the person performing was told they would get a lower mark/no mark if they did not continue performing the treatment. Products used during treatments were physically cut open and put back in the cabinet left to oxidize and exposed to dust and other bacteria. Sheets and towels used for client days always had some type of discolouration and stains. Inventory of products was not done properly and students were accused and treated as if they were stealing. Guidance councillors were mislead and told a starting wage for an aesthetician is $30 straight out of school when several employers (including Gina's Spa) only pay minimum wage. The whole program was misleading and machines were old and broken. I would never recommend this school to anybody and anytime someone asks where they should go I point them straight to International Beauty Institute or Conestoga College.

Our appointment was at 1pm, my mother received someone and I received someone. I would say both of our students had no idea what they were doing. By 4pm, our hair wasn't cut and the student was waiting for the Instructor to come and rescue. When mine was done.... I dunno I received I guess the most disingenuous comment "Oh! Your hair looks so nice!" Let me be clear, when you hear that 4 time and girls following one another saying it's so beautiful you realized they were trained in school to say that on auto pilot. My mom was the last victim, the hair cut did not match her picture. She wanted a cute pixie with bangs, it looked like Ellen DeGeneres instead with no bangs-also done by the instructor. Also followed by a stream of students saying the same compliment-occasionally some asking to wash their hair while they wait to close up. So we were stuck in our seats for 3hours each- our hair cut by the instructor. For a paid cut, I mean if you are ready to lose a whole day, it's pretty cheap. Just be ready to wait 3hrs-no less than that. Marca College has been a back up option that my mom was once amused watching and learning the cutting style- but to be the first one in and the last one out- she felt zero-ed out as the neglected customer for a paid cut.

They teach KM, cardio boxing, fight classes, Muay Thai, and there is an affiliated BJJ school in the same building. There are a lot of options here - each taught by a knowledgeable instructor. I was not disappointed when I joined. The instructors were top-notch and Aubrey (the owner) is well-trained (had won the KM-Worldwide Instructor of the year award). The place felt like a friendly, engaging, and positive place to be. They treated you like family and always said "Hi" when you walked in. Pretty cool. The quality of instruction was good, the methods seem solid (I've never had to use them in any altercation so I can't say from actual experience) and I do know that some of the local law-enforcement have trained there because they feel it's a legitimate system. My only caveat with this center is due to my issue with Krav Maga Worldwide. I have nothing against the instructors at this location but the organization they are affiliated with seems to be hiking prices and asking for some absurd requirements upon joining. When I first started there was no mention of uniforms, the prices seemed fair, the contracts were varied (tri-monthly, yearly, etc.) and I had no feeling of being pressured to buy anything. Now, they seem to want everyone in a KM suit for training, the prices have increased, the contracts are longer and there's more emphasis on buying "specific" gear. This seems like a change for the worse. I believe the people running this place are honest people and truly want to teach people what they know. Unfortunately KM Worldwide is bogging them down with a financial agenda. Again, I want to make clear that the people running this particular center are knowledgeable, well-trained, and nice - my issue is with their parent organization, Krav Maga Worldwide. Overall, you will learn a lot and stay fit. These instructors know how to make you work and will push you to be the best you can be. If you can afford it, there's no harm trying this center; unfortunately the contract lengths make it hard for those who are curious to take the plunge. You can't go wrong with the quality of instructors here - the price is a bit of a drawback but for some, that may not even be an issue. The Krav Maga Training Center is great, unfortunately it's affiliation with the Krav Maga Worldwide organization is a bit of a drawback.
