I have been going to Marvella for a while now, and I have been very pleased with my haircuts by Kelly time-after-time. Plus, she only charges me about $20 to cut my hair, which is a steal compared to the standard $40+ I've always paid my entire life in larger cities. ($20 for a cut and style, no drying...curls prefer to be left alone!) As you can see from the photo I uploaded, I have very curly hair. Kelly can handle cutting curly hair just fine, though she usually doesn't put in enough hair product so that your curls hold together for the day. Nevertheless, you'll love your haircut once you're home and can style your curls the way you like. I know this may sound strange to straight haired girls ("uh, what? you mean you FIX your hair right after you've just been to a salon?"), but for us curlies, it's rare NOT to leave a hair salon looking like we had a nasty scuffle with a blow dryer. Anyway, I digress...If you are a curly girl, Kelly will give you a very good cut for a great price. I have been going to Kelly at Marvella Salon for years. Had such good service and outcomes that several family members have changed from former salon to Marvella! Alway upfront an honest with what my hair can and can not do and suggestions based on what I want of what can be achieved. So grateful for the honesty so never leave feeling I did not get what I wanted. My hair is thin and fine and some styles just won't look as good as the picture I bring in. Always willing to get me as close to what I want as my hair will allow. Kelly had done several color corrections where I tried to save money and used a box kit that just did not turn out like expected and always looks fantastic when I leave salon. read more

I have been to Marvella several times. The salon is very clean and the staff were very nice. The prices are good too. I seldom get what I consider a 'good' haircut, but Nikki did a great job. I'm booking another appointment with her today. I recommend this salon. read more

Just had the WORST blow out ever. 1st I show up with some root retouch and immediately my stylist is annoyed, because of allergies to hair color. I'm thinking,,,, wrong business hun. I love this place. First, Molly D. does my hair on the regular and she does an amazing job every time. Her prices are amazing and she really gives you personalized attention. I usually get a hair cut and highlights and I have always LOVED her work. The salon overall is spacious and clean. I have had good interactions with all of the hairdressers here although I have only gone to Molly for hair cuts/coloring. I would recommend this place to anyone! As for weddings, I just got married earlier this month. And since I regularly go to this salon, I took a chance on them for wedding hair and makeup even though I could not find any reviews online for their wedding services. I had Kelly for my updo and Tammi for my makeup. They both did flawless jobs on me the morning of my wedding and I felt so confident that I looked like the best version of myself before I walked down the aisle! My ceremony was at 1 and my wedding party and I arrived at the salon at 8:30 and we were all done with everyone's hair and my makeup within 2 hours! I was so impressed and everyone's hair was amazing - my bridesmaids had Kelly and two other women (forget their names). I had airbrush makeup done, and I was initially nervous because I have had "orange" experiences with airbrush in the past, but Tammi definitely knew what she was doing. She made me look so pretty and better than I could ever do myself. Overall, I was such a pleased and impressed bride. I would choose them again to do my wedding if I had to go back and redo it. Overall, I have not had a bad experience with any of the women who work here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new hair salon! read more
