The administrator/owner of the center is always cheerful around the parents, although I'm sure behind the scenes it is much different for the personnel. My suggestions for the center would be to upgrade some of the "old school" look of the center such as the TV and maybe the color and wood. Lots of ants are complained about by my child. Additionally, some of the fees are steep but somewhat manageable because you are to break up the payments if the need arises. Summer fees are not really explained especially when you are providing the lunch. Graduation fees are ridiculous since they will not be able to wear the gown again because of size and color. A graduation hat with them wearing white would be more reasonable financially or maybe a program where you give them back and just borrow them for that day. PreK graduation is not essential IMO.

During the class my "Colleague" would often disrupt the class with constant complaining and negative remarks. This would often upset not only myself, but the other students. Administration would have to pull her out of class to have private conversations to defuse the situation(s) . I am normally not the type of person to comment on situations that don't necessarily involve me however, I was SHOCKED at this review especially when she was the student that caused so many unnecessary disruptions. We've witnessed the faculty trying to work with this student however, she remained resentful and uncooperative. Healthcare Training Solutions honestly has benefited me and my career as Certified Nursing Assistant so much. I really appreciate the one on one attention I received from the instructors. All the skills I obtained, I am currently putting to use working at an assisted living facility! I passed the course with a 86% Overall average and I really hate to see such a amazing program be slandered by one unhappy student.

When you call to speak to a particular person they always haveban excuse there response you will get a call back and never do. You keep calling so it appears they are being coached to repeat that exact response. Their sunshine on the go nursing isn't any better one staff member is very rude when you give a no response you are hung up on and no consequence is given for the disrespect. Alot of students get aid from the state for these classes but they are not charity cases they are human and deserve to be treated as a paying customer. You can not talk to them any kind of way and the owner feels she can and not receive consequences. The owner is very confrontational and as a owner of a company and regardless how long she has been an owner her management skills need to change. Finding Ms. Ashley was a true blessing, she not only treated my boys like they were her own, but she also shared the same kind of tough love and respect attitude towards my boys (the way I want them to be raised) She was very flexible with my work schedule, how picky my kids are with food and loved them! They didn't feel like they were another set of kids. In the past I would have the daycare provider that would bring up drama and make disrespectful comments to my kids. Ms. Ashley would constantly be in communication with me and from the moment she would open that front door, she would have a smile on her face and say "good morning!"... Nowadays to me that's very important and shows what kind of day my kids will have. She and her family are very trustworthy and loving.

That same teacher was vacuuming in one room while the children were alone in another room. My son was 3 or 4 years old at the time and the other students were young as well. If there had been a problem would she have been able to hear the emergency? The leader is rude to parents and students. In addition, for many years she has not had a proper board of directors. The board consisted of the founder and two of her relatives. This is a huge conflict of interest reflected in the schools inability to grow and adapt to relevant educational research. The Beddow School is supposed to be a non-profit. However, the school clearly ran in the best interest of the founder as opposed to the organization. Beddow operates like a for-profit business that mostly just benefits the founder. For example, the founder benefits by cutting costs and making staff that should be watching children clean instead. My son was left in a classroom with other students alone. Definitely, not what I signed up for. I am sad that I enrolled my child at this school. The first red flag for me is that the school is not named after someone who is a great educator. It is named after the founder, a shriveling woman that is alive and well. I am a teacher. It is not a career path for people that are self absorbed. Teaching requires a level of humility that puts students in the spotlight, which is why most schools are named for a mission or a person that has already proven themselves (like Mary McLeod Bethune or Maria Montessori). The first sign that the school operates in the interest of the founder is the school's name!
