I was…read moreplanning a destination bachelorette party several months ahead for my now sis-in-law, Tess T. Based on the business' description on this site, I contacted JJ who ran the show. She responded to me right away and worked out a custom painting-to-do, inspired by a couple I showed her through email. JJ either texted, emailed, or called me to make sure I had directions and confirm details. I was able to pay for the entire class in advance through their website. As soon as we arrived at her house, we were brought upstairs to her living area which was set up like a classroom with 7 easels, primed canvases, paint palettes, an assortment of about 8 brushes, paper towels, rinsing cups, practice paper, and an agreeable soundtrack. If we needed any additional paints or anything, we just had to ask. She provided paint t-shirts/smocks to some who were unprepared. I was able to comfortably change out of my dressy clothes into an old tee and sweatpants in her bathroom. At the front of the classroom, JJ showed us what to do on her own canvas accompanied by a flatscreen TV showing the painting from start to finish, step-by-step on loop. Her calming voice was just perfect for teaching the class. She would come around to give us help, personalized suggestions, and technique pointers. I learned a lot. Though most of us went off-road with our paintings, it was impressive that we were all inspired by the same subject. Also, though we brought a lot of snacks and spirits, most of us ended up too involved with our paintings. It seems that the best times we could have indulged are when we were waiting a few minutes for our paint to dry. If I lived closer, I would do this again and again with After 5 Art Party with JJ at the helm.

We drove into this cute community and were allowed to park in the garage. We were then escorted upstairs and immediately we felt like it was play time. Super cute set up with the tables set up like we were in a class surrounded by wall art made by JJ. Very cool with lots of inspiration to paint. Everything was all set up, all we had to do was listen to the instructions and have a good time. It was a very chill experience, the instructor wasn't pushy or overbearing at all. She pretty much guided us and let our creativity run wild. I learned so much and I totally want to do this again!

One of the most watered down International festivals I've ever been to. There was about 1/2 dozen…read morepeople that did the U.S. oath at 0900, and vendors opened at 11 AM there wasn't much to do during those first 2 hours except to watch vendors setting up, when we finally ate the Turkish food that we had was very good. We were disappointed due to the fact that there were not a lot of nations represented some of the ones we saw were Mexico, Turkey, Taiwan, Somalia and a several from the Middle East. Only one we saw from what I call main stream Europe was the Irish one. Please correct me if I missed some. While walking/standing around checking out the event from a distance 3 different event people on carts came to and asked me if they could help me also there were a large police presence, walking, on bikes and motorcycles, if nothing else we did feel safe. Most of the vendors we saw did not represent any country they were just there selling stuff. We are hoping that the event will be better next year, I gave 3 stars on my review so it wouldn't discourage people from attending next years Festival of Cultures.

Kudos to them. Tip: ask the pro shop to tell you what hole was once rated as a top 18 hole in the state of South Dakota. It is one of the back 9 holes (I think), and it is about 70 yards... good luck on that tiny, two tiered green. Tip: Carts are available. It is very flat and easily walked, but why spoil a nice round of golf with a walk?
