I'm not one to post reviews really. I specifically waited to post this until the CDSS came back…read morewith their final decision on the complaint I had made after our experience; and it came back substantiated. NOTE: When you go on CDSS it has a list of all inspections and complaints. It hasn't been updated just yet on my complaint and one others recently. But I've been personally updated by Stacey William's (licensee reporter/inspector on all visits) that both mine and a recent others complaint was indeed substantiated. To start, we had our babygirl (she was 13 months at the time) in this facility for a little over one month. Starting Dec into Jan 2020. In this time we received 2 "newsletters". One was about holiday schedule changing. Two was bday party and holiday party. Within that time, my fiance and I ran into issues primarily concerning Kristi and her daughter (whom was pregnant at the time and is also her daycare assistant). One day they texted my fiance (since he was the one whom picks up our daughter daily) that there was an "emergency" and a Grandma GG was to take over watching ALL the children in their daycare while they both left. Well, we happen to both be off work early that day and were able to pickup our daughter right before they had left on this occassion. So we didn't say anything. Mind you, looking back now I've learned to ask questions and speak up more on concerns most definitely such as this. The second event was only 2 to 3 weeks later when my fiance got off of work early and went to pickup our daughter unannounced. Only, this time it took 3 minutes for someone to answer the door. And it was said Grandma GG this time their at the daycare. No Kristi, nor her daughter, nor anyone else with all the littles she has (she typically has 7 to 12 kids daily, depending on day of week). Which that in itself is a safety concern as one provider should only have 6 to 8 children (depending on ages) per person. Per my fiance this day, Grandma GG looked very frazzled, then proceeded to ask "which one is yours?" And then let my fiance leave with our daughter without a flinch of concern on double checking if he was indeed her Dad, or on the list of persons whom can pick her up. I mention this part solely because anyone could've walked inside this daycare and picked up a child at this time. Also, my fiance nor myself were ever informed on this day of Kristi and her daughter leaving for any reason. No heads up was given this time. The only reason my fiance knew it was Kristi's mother GG, was he said she's looks just like her, but older. When I texted the daycare licensee, Kristi. She immediately was volatile towards me. That was a grave concern in itself. She stated things like "it was only for maybe 40 minutes we were gone" followed by "I work 14 plus hour days and have lil time for my family and gave up this this and that to do this " as though I shouldn't be concerned by her choices to leave all our children in the hands of someone we didn't know, and without any notice. Needless to say, it ended with us immediately knowing this was an unsafe environment to keep our baby in. And we found a new daycare provider the very next day. When we went to pickup our items left on the front porch, she suddenly had posted on her door how drop-offs and pick-ups can't happen between 1230pm to 3pm. I also found this off-putting as the law states you can "drop-in" at any time. And she did this after we found out she and her "assistant" leave without notice to anyone. My formal complaint was substantiated on basis of Grandma GG was NOT a cleared provider as backup for this daycare. Yet in Kristi's texts to me, she stated she was (see below). I feel I wasn't far off on finding her unprofessional, aggressive attitude towards me as more cause to do something about this now. Like, how often does Kristi and her daughter really do this (just leave without any parents knowing)?? So scary that unknown! PLEASE, look Kristi up on the CDSS website!! It's free & so important to do this I realize now before putting your child in any daycare. Really gives you hindsight before interviewing daycares all our own. You'll find many safety risk findings and citations by random drop-in inspections over the past year alone. As well as another complaint substantiated back-to-back after my complaint on leaving too many children under-supervised (only one person watching all those little children). I was updated by this as well from the inspector Stacey. She's only been open for 2 to 3 years. Way too many things are just amiss here!! We learned so much around this now. And if I can help just one parent/child now, by sharing our horrible experience with this daycare. Then I've done my part in a good way. This enivetably is just me trying to do the next right thing. I pray this helps parents overall by hearing our story before deciding to put any of their children in this daycare!!

I'm actually updating my review from a year ago. Kristi is still outstanding. My kids absolutely…read morelove her. She sends out monthly newsletters explaining what she has planned for the month. She does birthday celebrations for EVERY kid. She does themed days. Provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for my kids. She has been there for ALL these kids through it all. She has such a big heart and I couldn't even imagine what we would do without her. I'm response to one of her one negative review about her leaving her kids with GG. GG is actually her mom and is fingerprinted and is officially employed by Kristi. All the parents got a news letter explaining that she would take over watching the kids if Kristi's daughter went into labor. We were ALL made aware of this. I have talked to MANY parents about this situation and we all got news letters. How convenient that the one person who no longer attends and is throwing a fit, just happened to not get one. She probably just never cared enough to read it. So from a parent who actually stays and lingers to talk when she picks her kids up to get to know the people in charge of watching her kids. I can without any doubt say Kristi is far more than we could've hoped for. She is fantastic.

I just want to express how happy we are that our daughter is part of the Kids Place family. The…read morefirst days were hard for her since she had always been home with me, but she would always share how comforting and caring her teachers were. It put my heart at ease because I knew she was in good hands. A year later and Emma is a whole different person. She enjoys going to school and has improved so much in her social skills. She is always eager to share about her day and tells us how awesome her teachers are. We also appreciate all the effort that goes into the holiday celebrations to make not only the kids but the parents feel special as well. I truly believe Carina and her team were heaven sent. In addition, the staff ensures the space is always clean and organized. Meals are provided, which makes it much easier for working parents. I love that the children have a huge outdoor play area. I can go one about how amazing this preschool is, but a major plus is how affordable it is compared to other places. I highly recommend Carina and her team if you are looking for preschool.

The teachers are incredibly kind, comforting, and truly care about each child's well-being. One of the biggest reasons I chose this school is their flexibility. As a commuting parent with last-minute meetings, their willingness to let me add extra days or swap days when I'm in a bind has been a lifesaver. They provide breakfast, lunch, and an after-nap snack for all the kids. The facility is new with dedicated classrooms and proper tools, unlike some preschools in Tracy that felt more like converted living rooms. Their fees are also very reasonable, especially for the quality of care and amenities offered. Another thing that really stood out to me: my son has seasonal allergies and gets nosebleeds often. At this school, I was never called to pick him up for that reason. In contrast, he just started TK three days ago, and I've already received two calls about it. A huge thank you to Ms. Carina and the entire team for your patience, care, and dedication to Ian M during his time here. Being new to the town, I was scared leaving my daughter in a new environment. Charlotte was very sweet for providing my husband and I daily updates for our daughter's activities. She now has been utilizing an app and we receive updates all day long about our daughter's day. It is such mental satisfaction. Thank you, Charlotte!!!
