Yes, they sent a letter saying exactly that ! Have they solved this issue- probably Not! Since this school district choose to disrespect so many families! I received a call late Friday afternoon notifying me that my child was no longer allowed to attend…read morethe school they were currently enrolled at. It was their mistake and instead of allowing my child to complete the full year there, they took it upon themselves to remove my child and tell me that I would not be able to get a district transfer. Please note when I viewed the TUSD elementary boundary map, my address qualifies for that school. I even came into the office during enrollment season and verified it with the staff there. I took the proper channels to ensure my child was qualified for that specific school. Not only did this stress me out, my child who was comfortable with her teacher and class, we had arrangements friends to help pick up my child is now emotional distraught to know that she has to start a brand new school that is even farther from our residence. Mind you the school we were attending was not full and had plenty of room, their reasoning to pluck my child out was to ensure all the upcoming kids in new development had a space (which i live in) The staff at TUSD is disorganized, rude and without taking responsibility of owning up to their mistake.

I've been extremely impressed with my daughter's experience at Bella Vista. It's clear that this…read moreschool truly cares about helping each child reach their full potential. The teachers and staff are wonderfully communicative and genuinely work to build strong partnerships with parents. The coursework strikes a great balance--challenging students while still ensuring they fully understand the material.

My experience with Bella Vista Christian Academy was beyond disappointing, and I ultimately removed…read moremy children because of it. The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

She was always excited to go to school every day, which says so much about the caring environment they create. The teachers are amazing -- patient, understanding, and truly dedicated to the children. As a commuting parent, finding a safe, reliable…read more after-school care program with transportation was a huge priority for my 4 year old, and this school has been an absolute lifesaver! Knowing my child is picked up on time, in a clearly labeled car by a uniformed staff member, gives me complete peace of mind. They use an amazing app that updates every 5-10 minutes, so I can see exactly what my child is doing throughout the afternoon. I also appreciate that I can plan ahead to meet the designated staff member who is scheduled to pick up my child (since pick-up staff may vary). Communication is excellent, you can text the driver and even the owner directly with any questions or requests, and they respond quickly. As a parent who once spent hours searching for a trustworthy transportation service for my 4-year-old, I can honestly say this program stands out for its professionalism, safety, and genuine care. It's such a relief to know my child is in good hands until I can get there. If you've had a negative experience with this school in the past, I encourage you to give it another chance. The program is now under new management, and the owner Vantika is really great to work with.

St. Bernard's Catholic School

St. Bernard School in Tracy, California claims to stand for values like fairness, compassion, and…read morecommunity. But my personal experience tells a different story--one where those values were ignored when I needed them most. I was recently removed from St. Bernard for an incident where I acted in self-defense. I didn't start a fight, I didn't go looking for trouble--but when someone put their hands on me, I protected myself. I didn't expect to be rewarded for it, but I definitely didn't expect to be punished either. The school's decision to expel me shows just how broken their system of discipline really is. Instead of investigating the situation fairly or listening to both sides, the administration rushed to judgment. They didn't care about context or truth--they cared about image. To them, it was easier to kick someone out than to admit that their staff might have failed to prevent or de-escalate the situation in the first place. What's worse is the message this sends to other students: if you stand up for yourself, even to protect your own safety, you're the problem. That's not justice. That's cowardice disguised as policy. St. Bernard claims to be a place that prepares young people for life. But life doesn't punish people for defending themselves--it demands it. If this school truly wants to teach real values, it needs to start by practicing them. Let me know if you want to add your personal details, tone it up/down, or include anything specific like what happened in the fight or how they treated you afterward. As parents, we struggled to find a TK based program that balanced play based learning with meaningful skill building but LIP delivered exactly that. Here are just a few reasons why we loved our time at LIP! 1) Learning through exploration! The teachers crafted activities that let kids investigate the world hands on (like science experiments, nature projects and creative problem solving). My active son was constantly engaged, never bored! 2) Patient and passionate staff! The teachers are warm, attentive and genuinely love what they do. Their teamwork created a calming environment where my son felt safe to grow socially and mentally. 3) Let kids be kids philosophy!!! A perfect mix of structure and free play that fostered independence and kindness. 4) Small but mighty outdoor space! While the outdoor play area is cozier than others we toured, the teachers maximize it brilliantly. My son still came home happily exhausted from obstacle courses, sensory games and imaginative outdoor adventures. If you want a preschool/TK/Montessori alternative that prioritizes curiosity, creativity and kindness, LIP is the place. Thank you, Ms. Candice, Arianne, Angie, Jayda and Tricia for preparing our little investigator for kindergarten with so much heart
