Worst customer service ever. The only way to contact them is by phone, and you spend hours on hold. Telus bought out our local Internet provider here in Alberta, then handed it over to "Mascon by Telus". Eventually all the local employees were let go except for one mobile technician who has to cover a huge area of Alberta. 8 months after the changeover was completed, my Internet went out and never came back. That tech came and after a lot of work, said that nothing was wrong with the equipment at my home, that equipment in Calgary was malfunctioning. He had to leave without me getting Internet back. To get to that point, I spent 2 hours and 2 minutes on hold the first day, only to hear, "We are sorry, but we cannot take your call at this time. Please try again later." They hung up. Day 2, I spent 1 hour and 25 minutes on hold. The tech said they couldn't see the Internet radio on my house, so could only schedule the mobile tech to come. Two days after the mobile tech was here, I phoned again and waited 15 minutes on hold, then gave up. I e-mailed billing@mascon.ca and asked when I would have Internet again. Day 8, and nothing from the company, so I phoned, chose Customer Support, then Cancel Service, and did not spend any time on hold at all. Got my service cancelled quickly, then ordered satellite Internet. read more

Was in hold for 2 hrs this morning. Guy finally answered and said our internet would be repaired by 2 pm. Then he called me back and said it wouldn't but that he'd call me back and update me. No call back. So I called again... another 3 hrs on the phone to have the second guy confirm my internet wasn't working (I knew that) and to schedule a service appt for 2 weeks away. Not cool. I called another company to replace Mascan and they'll be at our farm on Thursday. Horrible technology. Horrible customer service. Horrible ability to contact to company. RUN, don't walk, to somewhere else. read more

In the last year or 2 Mascon by Telus bought out my local internet provider, and mind you the ONLY local internet provider in my rural community in Alberta. I had Netago, who was bought out by Mascon, for well over a decade. I had no issues for years. Through 2020-2024 until Mascon bought them I had perfect internet. Under Mascon this was not the case. For the first few months it was outages every week, for which they took the blame and fixed, several times. Now in 2025 for the last month or two my internet has gone out every day, over a dozen times a day. I have called numerous times with no solutions given and sometimes no answer. This is by far the worst handling of a takeover I have ever seen. I urge you, your family and your friends to never use Mascon by Telus because it is utter trash that they refuse to maintenance or hire replacements for the staff they all let go from Netago. I would give negative stars if I could. read more

One star was the lowest I could go. I would really rate my experience as negative 10 million stars! Mascon sucks! Sucks sucks sucks! Internet has been out three times in 2 weeks. Spend hours trying to get a hold of somebody and can't do it! The recording says that customer service is so important to them.. what a crock! If I could go with a different provider I would be gone in a heartbeat. My previous provider was awesome. I didn't have to wait on hold and they fixed any problem real quick. These guys don't care cuz they know they've got you in a corner. Shame on them and shame on Telus for ramming these clowns down our throats. Haven't seen one good review... not one!! read more

The worst customer service. Evey time I call a recording says wait time is over an hour. People have better things to do than stay on hold over an hour for a service they pay for. All I wanted was a new remote so a finally gave up calling and drove from Chase BC to Salmon Arm BC to their location shown as Auto Road on the internet and it's just an empty building. read more

Horrific customer service. They took over service from our previous internet provider without notifying us. Never sent statements or contacted us regarding this issue. And now they just send it to collections, because apparently we owe them money. Didn't have a clue and just assumed it was being automatically withdrawn from bank account as usual. We never signed any contract with them or was aware they were the new providers. Will never deal with this company!! read more

If I could give them 0 I would. Their customer service is terrible. No one answers their phone and the tech support line has limited hours. I learned that if the office hours end and you have been on hold for three hours they just leave and you are on hold all night I guess. If you are an unhappy customer complain to the CRTC. They should not have a license. read more

Constant outages. I've never experienced such unreliable internet service. We rely on our internet to work remotely, the constant outages are impacting our jobs now. We also rely on internet to monitor our 7 month old baby during the night and the outages render our monitoring system useless, putting our baby at risk if we aren't notified soon enough. There is no reason whatsoever for a company to have such poor service. read more

This company apparently bought the internet provider I was with and without notice, no calls or letters. I get a letter stating I owe money and it was going to go to collections which now has and to try and talk to these people is horrible. Stay away from these clowns. read more

ZERO STARS The absolute worst provider I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their representatives have dropped calls without returning and after ten days without internet, still have not solved the issue. They charge for services that they cannot provide and refuse to adequately remedy the issue. It is unacceptable and unreasonable to expect that anyone can go without service for ten days while working from home during a pandemic in a remote community without cell reception. If you have any other options DO NOT EVER USE THIS PROVIDER. WHAT A LOAD OF ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. read more

The number of data outages with Mascon is crazy. I think we've had 3 in the last 2 weeks. I'm maxing out cell data to simply keep working. If you use Mascon, make sure you have a backup provider too! read more
