I could match my rate of returns with my MML financial account with simple CD'S at most any bank or T bills with a lot less risk. I will admit many companies invested my money are solid good quality companies, I would have looked at the same companies if investing on my own. So I rank it a 3. My investment goals are modest as I'm not looking to get rich quickly. I want to say ahead of inflation and make a little money. I would like to see a better rate of return. read more

One of the most totally unprofessional experiences we've ever had as a Client. We were referred to this Firm --and a particular Financial Advisor-- directly through Mass Mutual as our prior Agent/Advisor had retired. We were unknowingly turned over to a completely inexperienced Advisor who made what has always been an easy exercise into one filled with innumerable mistakes, typographical errors, unrequired forms, and unnecessary and unwanted up-selling. The Advisor repeatedly tried to run us through "his process" (basically looking to sell us more products) while employing debatable tactics. Despite the specificity of our needs from the start, the Advisor continued to flog superfluous products and wouldn't take a hint subtle or otherwise. Midpoint we acquiesced as our goal was to complete the transaction and be done with the whole thing since we had spent considerable time doing legwork AND paperwork and gone to the trouble of reassigning our account to this firm and Agent. Ug. Ug. Ug. I can't blame Mass Mutual for spoon feeding a Client to this Firm. It's just shocking how insufficiently trained the Advisor was and how little care was taken to assure that documents (Contracts) were filled out correctly No one was overseeing the crucial and potentially libelous details. Once finalized (and funded) the Advisor failed to follow up and provide corrected documents in a timely manner without being chased. read more

Mass bought our hospital pensions a few years ago. About a year later they were offering for sale a multi billion dollar deal with people's retirements. The first fell through and the next sold for over ,2.3 billion. They have been extremely difficult to deal with since it all began. The phone rings and rings. No response to emails .somebody says somebody will call and nobody called. Just getting a copy of the now worthless contract took months. It took months to complete their sale to empower . Or Great Western financial whoever they're calling themselves today. It's been over 26 months of this nonsense and I have nothing. I could have started withdraw years ago and did not. Figured all's ok I can wait. Cov brought on even more troubles and yes I need money , my money not theirs . This isn't like some personal loan or a hone mortgage .this is money they have control of that my employer saved for me. I need it. Homeisss and no where to go I need it. Government won't help until they have this settled and man at 64 these streets have dang near killed me guess that's what they want. . why in the world am I sleeping on a sidewalk beat up rov Ed over and over and been arrested over and over. This is my way off the streets. My only way it's not charity it's mind cold and heartless. Invest in the can under your house . You'll do better. Part of the trouble could possibly be this area of banking , finance has very little oversight. There are some congressional guidelines but basically they govern themselves. The dog in control of the bone. I contacted the NAIS , National Insurance Comission , and they don't really have any position of regulation . We've left a big part of the financial world without recourse. The big thing became to invest in yourself. For e.oyets to recruit the best staff possible by paying for various things for employees , like retirement. Without a strong union your on your own when the clock ticks you on to the promised day. T Retirement. A single mom with 3 daughters I worked 2 jobs . I had to to be able to secure our day to day lives and our future. Trouble is they resent my long days and nights and the decsions I made for us all. My 401 was literally stolen by family that I can't see prosecuted , sadly they did more I am now left homeless, they also sold my home . I have enough here , apx. 11k to start new. I was a multi award winning. Nurse for a pediatric hospital and now am the worst of the worst. It's through efforts of greed and self interest I am here. Not exactly the golden years. Keep up with where your funds , Demand current co tracts , be proactive for yourself, and stay informed. Keep records current. You'll needs it all sooner than you expect. The front desk lady, I think she said her name was Tesla, was rude and not very attentive. She didn't seem to care I was a prospective client and gave the wrong first impression.
