Soleak is huge gift to those of us who don't quite benefit enough from the gentle, Swedish massage-style that every other massage therapist is capable of providing....but finding someone who cares enough to "dig in" (when needed) is a bit harder in this market; she is at the top of her game in deep tissue/trigger points. I am certain that she also offers a wonderful, gentle, therapeutic massage as well, but if you are in need of more intense pressure (and she will ask you if her pressure works for you during your first massage), Soleak is DEFINITELY worth checking out. She's super professional (knows not to talk your ear off, even if you want to), friendly, and is clearly an accomplished and capable business woman. Her price is very fair (and I've been to a ton of massage therapists in MA and overseas), and she has great availability, despite her many loyal clients -- she works her butt off (don't forget to give her an appropriate tip -- she definitely deserves it!) Really superb. Don't be fooled by the generic strip-mall where Soleak's business is located. The rooms are clean and serene. Soleak is a superb communicator: she asks a few questions, starts in, then adjusts and adapts as she discovers new areas of tightness. She has an almost empathic ability to sense where your problem really is. Her massage style is great: constant and flowing and simultaneously mixing together different types of touch and pressure (at times you feel--at the same time--an elbow lean firmly into a trigger point while her forearm fans out to spread the attached muscle and fingertips and nails lightly press the muscle's far end. I'm not a massage veteran, but her style seemed unique (and uniquely effective) to me. I seriously felt about 3 inches taller when I walked out. Soleak is extremely professional, and a very nice person as well. Try to give her a day's advance notice (but she's so nice she'll slot you in with less notice if she can). I always prefer a "deep tissue" style massage over a more relaxing "swedish style" and Soleak is an expert when it comes to giving a rigorous and invigorating massage. I saw that she had a first-time discount and was local, and after my first massage I've gone back several times because she's simply the best masseuse I've found in the area. Best massage this side of 128. Took my daughter and I on short notice and gave us the queen treatment. Very relaxing and clean. Worked parts of the body that I knew had trouble and made it be that I'm going to want to go back, as I felt so good after I was done! Just need to figure out how to pay for this weekly! I go to Ms. Soleak about every 3 weeks for my chronic arthritis pain. She gives a wonderful relaxing deep tissue massage with special emphasis on my more acute pain spots like my lower back. She is friendly, lovely young lady which belies her strength. I highly recommend her back walk technique. Excellent deep tissue massage. Easy same day appointments. Went for a 60minute deep tissue massage but extended to 90. She worked on my neck and spinal areas and was able to exactly identify my pain spots which I believe comes only with experience and worked on it thoroughly.
