I booked an appointment but when I looked at appt booked on their site it said no appointment. so I booked another appointment did the same thing to confirm and same thing. so I try one more time and again same thing. I finally book another appt and just went w out being able to confirm and they told me I owe them over 600.00 for not showing up to my appt. that was never confirmed. I'm just in awe!! this is crazy!!! they need to get a better booking system and stop trying to charge ppl for appt that they can't even confirm!! read more

The best location! Beautifully decorated & super clean. The tranquility room where you wait for your provider is so peaceful. Restrooms are always clean. They are the largest and newest addition with the updated branding. I've seen several different service providers from LMT's to Estys and had a great session every time. My mother , my girlfriend, and myself all went in for 90 min massages. They were able to get us all in at the same time. All 3 of us had a wonderful relaxing experience. I'm a stress case. I know this, that's why I go for a massage occasionally. I need to relax, un-clench and have 60 minutes of "me" time to be at my best. Strip-mall massage places are always a gamble and I've not yet found one in Baton Rouge that works for me. There are a couple I like, but nothing I love. A friend recommended Massage Envy, but not particularly this location. I chose this place because it was new, and the closest to my house. I'm lazy like that. I was happy to get a same-day booking. Their online system is very easy to use and I give them a star for that. Per their recommendation, I arrived 10 minutes early to go through paperwork, etc since it was my first visit. The guy at the front desk was lovely and I'll give him a star too. Naw, I'll give the online booking + that guy a combined star. Next stop, the "tranquility room". Soft music, comfy chairs...sounds relaxing right? Add a random dude playing something on his phone (with sound ON!) to that equation and the serenity in the space turns to mental screams of "SERENITY NOW". C'mon jerk, turn your phone off. And, side note, to all y'all who type with the keyboard noises on - you're part of the problem. Turn that $h!t off! My appointment was at 4. I arrived at 3:50 as instructed. Noisy phone dude put me on edge, but his appointment started promptly at 4 and he went away, leaving me in the (finally) tranquil space of the tranquility room. 4:01, I'm chillin. 4:05, I'm getting irritated. 4:08 and I'm ready to leave without a massage. Lateness is not tolerated and, honestly, if you're coming to Massage Envy for a relaxing experience, you should not have to wait. The *very least* I expected is that a couple minutes past my appointment time someone should have come to say that my appt is running a little late and we'll make up the time on the other side of the hour. But no word. #fuming Minus one star. So needless to say, when the lady finally came in to introduce herself and take me to the room, I was not in a relaxed or friendly mood. Her first words should have been an apology for the tardiness, but no. Minus one star. The therapy room was clean and the table was really nice. One star for that. The massage itself was ok. Not great, not terrible. Did I get my money's worth? Meh. Did I feel more relaxed when I was finished? A little. Then it came time to leave. As I was paying up at the desk, I realized the lovely guy who was there when I arrived had gone home and 2 new people were staffing the desk. While I paid up, I overheard that there was an issue with another client who had booked a facial, but no aesthetician was available - they shrugged it off and said "we'll have to rebook her". That lack of concern and respect for other peoples' time was the final straw for me. I won't be going back. It wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't a place that deserves my on-going business. read more

Let me start by saying I've been a member with massage envy for over 6 yrs. DO NOT BOOK FACIALS AT THIS LOCATION! Especially w/ Laura. I received a call from Laura stating that they noticed I had 15 points that were unused. ( I just had my son 4mons ago, so I've been paying but haven't used them bc of my schedule). She stated she did facials and wanted to see if I'd be interested in booking. I asked if they did microdermabrasion and she stated they did. I scheduled an appointment for that weekend for a session. It was 1 and 1/2 points for the session. My appointment was for 12 noon. I arrived at 11:45a to do paperwork and was escorted back to the room for me service. She cleansed my skin, did the microderm Infusion, put moisturizer on my skin and proceeded to try to up sell me. I was off the table by 12:17p. I'm am soooo angry and disappointed with the service. I paid for a 60 min service. And received less than 15mins of service. No facial steam, no cleansing after the microderm, no hand massage,no nothing. The towels she used in my face were like warm and it was the worst facial experience I've ever had. I had just had a chemical peel done at The Roosevelt in New Orleans 2wks prior and have had a few other facials in the past and I know this is NOT how you're supposed to be treated or serviced. I truly hope management rectify the situation because this is unacceptable. I'm probably not the first or last it will happen to. read more

Disappointing. I booked a firm massage because I received a gift certificate. Prior to the massage, I explained to the therapist the areas that needed attention. The massage was not good. The massage did not address any of the key muscle areas. Not sure where she got her certification or if maybe she is inexperienced. Told her again where it hurts. She just randomly rub the area and ignore my request. I usually enjoy massages. But this is one...I couldn't wait for it to be over. This is the second visit with Massage Envy in the past month. I got a massage here shortly after this location opened desperate to work out some knots in my back. I said that I wanted deep tissue but that I can be very sensitive also. They paired me up with a random masseuse who was nice, but I wondered if it was his first massage? There was barely any pressure even when I asked for more pressure, and I left feeling very irritated. Despite all this, the girl at the front desk tried to talk me into a membership. No thanks, won't be coming back. My husband gives better massages, and they're free! read more
