I first went to Message Envy with a gift of a massage from a friend. That was states away and a mild massage. I saw one here and tried it out? I asked for a deep massage as I carry lots of stress in my body! They have these folks here that know pressure points etc. and can really help you. They have really helped me. I do not enjoy the upselling. Front desk is very nice and hot and cold. water available as you leave fill up water bottle or make a hot herbal tea to hydrate! They offer a year plan with coupons for free services too! (bring a tea bag). read more

The massage was great, but every financial interaction I had was not. First I was being charged for a plan, even though I came in with a gift card. Then I paid with cash and after I was home, given no receipt, I was called and told I owed them $20 more dollars with no evidence. A word of warning to others about very unfriendly membership policies (read the fine print) and robotic, reception staff. I was putting up with it due to a good massage therapist, but the front desk treated me poorly one too many times. Also learned that the therapists live off tips (no salary). I have rarely posted a negative review, but feel others should be warned about this place. There are many good massage therapists in the area who would love and appreciate your business. I cannot review my massage appointment at Massage Envy (ME) but I sure can review their customer service. According to the TEXT I received TWO HOURS before my appointment, my "service provider," Julie K., "had something come up & won't be able to perform the session." When I called the phone number for the ME at the Pineview location, I was connected to a call center. The service rep would only agree to transfer me to the Pineview SG office once I explained why I was calling. I learned that ME had no back-up plan for last minute no-show massage therapists. I live 50 miles away from the closest ME in St George and had planned my day around the appointment. ME requires a 24-hour notice from their clients if they want to cancel without being charged. ME should require a similar forfeit from their staff when they are inconsiderate of their clients and do not have a back-up plan. I have learned that I am not the first potential client of the PV ME location that has had their appointment cancelled at the last minute. I will not be rebooking with ME and, according to the front desk staff at ME, they don't care. read more

Shocking this place has such terrible reviews. I have never been to UT at all however they are using my account credits that I have set up in another state. When I got the initial appt confirmation I contacted asking if I needed to be worried about fraud since I did not book the appointment and did not want it showing under my account. They still deducted a credit from me (and gave a random a massage. ) My home location tried to call to sort it out for me and they were even rude to them, a fellow location and provided no help. I do not suggest going to this location: they can't own up to their mistakes, their customer service is garbage no matter who you are, and apparently they steal to keep their franchise running. read more

Great massage therapists. I have seen several therapists and loved them all, including the hot stones and stretches. They really customize it and make sure the whole time you enjoy the pressure and table temperature. The front desk girl Avery checked me in and out and was very attentive. A friend of mine gave me a gift certificate to this place as well, she is an awesome friend and knows I am a chronic pain sufferer in a new town. But that's how they lure you in: along with Synergy and Escape Hair and Body they offer a cheap first session ($30-$40 for an hour, while normal massages run $70 or so an hour give or take a little) and then they jack up the price after the first time. The place is apparently a chain (there are two in St. George alone) all over the country. It felt very 'McDonald's of massage'...like...the franchise just poured out of the walls. And what I really disliked was yeah you pay for your massage (the first time $30 or the usual $60) and then if you want anything...ANYTHING like oils or reflexology you can't pay a flat fee, you have to 'add on' much like 'super sizing' a meal (can't tell I'm not big on McDonald's eh?) The masseuse I got was competent and friendly...but not great. I still felt really sore (I mean other than the obvious usual soreness) like my niece had just rubbed my back and nothing real had been done to it. Honestly it was the first bad massage I'd ever had. A friend went to the one on the other side of town and reported it wasn't much better. They also offer a 'fast food massage automatic debit payment' plan to keep it low...but a mandatory 6 or so (I can't remember the number) automatic payments...so forget you if you have an unexpected bill for your car or health one month. I hate automatic debit so much...and that's the only way to keep the cheaper price. I recommend St. George Day Spa. Up in the usual price, but no ridiculous add ons (you get an oil or lotion regardless of if you pay for something extra). read more

Worst place in the world to get a gift card, don't waste your money . I have had gift cards for over a year that I have been trying to use and and it is impossible to schedule anything! They make you go online and give your cc to hold your appointment. I finally was able to book a 90 min for $165. I really wanted a 60 minute but choosing that option is impossible to book so I decided to pay the extra in order to finally use my gift cards. Showed up today for my appointment and they had zero record of my appointment . I showed my phone confirmation that said I was "ready to go with an appointment with Wes at 11:30." I showed her several times the confirmation on my phone but she thought it was "funny!" The employee had "never seen a confirmation" like the one I presented and didn't feel bad that it ruined my entire plans for the day. She kept insinuating that I must have done something wrong when I booked . I am so frustrated and told everyone in my family to NEVER give me another gift card here. They are impossible to use and WAY over priced for what you receive. I have had massages all over the world and these guy treat you like they want to get you in and out as fast as possible. They try to up sell you with oils and other extras!!! They want to get you to sign up for a membership, which I wouldn't do if it was free!! Terrible business and very uncaring employees! read more

I got my husband a gift card for his Xmas gift and he got his massage tonight and said it was the worst massage he has ever had ! The girl working on him was wearing a fanny pack the entire massage and it rubbed against his skin the whole time .. she pinched his arms instead of massaging and had 0 technique! Rooms are cheap no decorations nothing to make you feel comfortable! Truly regrets buying him a gift card here when there are other places in town who employ talented and caring employees! I've been a massage envy customer for many years and recently moved into the area and decided to try this location. The customer service at this location is poor. The manager is never available. We had a billing problem recently and the manager told us it was going to be corrected and it wasn't. We usually get a couples massage and they don't start on time and we've noticed that we haven't been getting the full 50 minutes time that we should be. My husband and I were wanting a couples massage this past Easter weekend to relax. We were able to request an appointment online last week, and got a call back the next day. Booking was fairly straight forward, just note that they will need a credit card. We checked in a few minutes early the day of our appointment; they do spend some time getting to know your massage needs, so arrive earlier than we did (they suggest 15 minutes). Our therapists came and got us on the hour, and took us to our room. The ambiance was great, and we were completely able to customize the massage session, down to the volume of music and level of lighting. It felt amazing! I will definitely be back. read more

I give them a two star for having POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are very rude. The Assitant Manager who was on the phone with me was very impolite and did not apologize for their mistake. I had canceled my membership 2 months ago and they went ahead and charged me even after I had spoken to them in person prior to canceling my membership and that I will no longer get charged. They went ahead and blamed their "system" that it is an automatic charge. When it's been 2 months since my cancelation. The assitant manager didn't even have the audacity to say goodbye and hangs up before the client can even get a closure in the conversation. Non the less. I had to go out of my way TWICE to call them to take care of their mistake. If anything you'd want the client to come back again even with their mistake they had made. Because of their poor customer service they had lost out on someone who loves getting massages. They had lost out on good money and a great client. !!BEWARE!! What the company says is NOT what you get! We saw the special from the corporate website advertising intro price of $79 for a 2 hour massage- prices vary by location. My husband called the St. George Utah Redcliffs location to confirm the price. I listened as he verified the deal and then booked the time. After the massage however, they billed $98. When questioned about the price, the manager said the employee must have been confused since they don't offer that same deal. The manager asked the employee who denied it and the owner wouldn't make it right. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The massage was NOT worth it! By the way, they will offer a monthly contract... why would anyone sign a contract with a dishonest company that won't stand by their customers? What would stop them from over-billing each month? My husband surprised me with a massage last Sunday because I'm so stressed out being busy at work. I was a little skeptical of Massage Envy because of how bad I had heard they were in Vegas. Given the price paid you really can't complain! My therapist (I wish I could remember her name) was so sweet and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and worked on the areas I needed most. When I left I felt so good and was able to come home and enjoy the rest of my day. I would come back again when I need a quick massage. The reason I give them only 2 stars is because you pay for 10 minutes more than you receive. I contacted customer service to ask if this was normal policy and never got a response other than a thank you and a request to give them a review on Yelp. Their message assured me that they read all customer comments and reply to them. This is simply not true. I joined as a member and expect a 90 minute massage when I pay for a 90 minute massage. When I asked the receptionist in person about this I was told their policy is that they allow 5 minutes to undress and 5 to dress. This place is crooked. If you decide to get a message here do not under any circumstances let them con you into a membership. They stole money off of a card that was never autorized to be placed on file. At least 3 momths after we canceled a memebership with them. We gave the masseuse a tip with this card and they automaticaly placed it on file. They said the were going to reverse the charge but they lied and did not. They also say they have no record of us canceling... How convinent for them. So if you do use them make sure to get everything recorded or in writing becaus they will say one thing any do another and treat you like a liar. My wife only got 2 messages from them and she cannot use the time she has already paid for. They somehow think we owe them over 300 dollars after we paid everything before canceling membership. read more

We arrived for the massage on Sunday and they had no record of our appointment. I have been going to Massage Envy for over a year now, typically once per month. As a runner, training for Half or Full marathons, the massage treatments always help my muscles to relax and recover. My favorite therapist is Li. She is simply exceptional!! The one thing that I wish would improve a little is the overall total cost. Better package deals for members would be a great incentive for others. For those that have been unsatisfied....consider giving them another try, express your concerns and specific massage needs.
