This was the most painful massage I've ever had. The masseuse climbed onto the table, put full body weight with her elbows into my back, put me in really weird and uncomfortable positions, not discrete with the sheets and kept exposing my body, lots of punching, and I left in pain. This was the worst experience I've ever had, but also felt like I wasn't able to voice concerns. I'm in pain and disappointed in what I was hoping to be a treat for myself turned into something I could not enjoy as I was wincing in pain the entire 60 minutes. read more

They had a sign on Plaza Drive saying 'walk-ins welcome.' I had fallen and fractured my knee cap this past week and now have a full-leg brace~ for 6-8 weeks.‍ My entire body was in pain, and I couldn't even imagine driving to Park Meadows... So I walked into Massage Now and when I walked out my body (except my knee) is now pain-free. This massage rates right next to the one I had in Egypt years ago. A proper massage requires you to get naked. Yes, you are covered while lying on the massage table. She used oils and hot stones & it felt so good! This massage clinic is extremely clean and has a serene atmosphere. Each room has a shower with shampoos, soaps, lotions & a bathrobe available if you choose to take a shower. The woman who massaged me was using her nails and honestly hurting me as she dug them into my scalp for the "head massage", she relentlessly pushed pressure points, didn't speak a word to me, hot stones were way too hot, the entire experience was awful. I need a massage for the massage I got. My scalp is itchy today which is worrisome as well. She literally put her entire body weight on me with her knees. What an I retesting experience!! I treated myself to a float sesh for my birthday and glad I did. The owner was very sweet and did everything he could to make sure I felt comfortable and understood the process. I did go into this experience wanting more of a spa experience - think cucumber water - robes - and candles :) As long as you don't have that expectation and think of this place as more like required maintenance for your mind and body your good. The tank it's self was roomy and "floaty" I came out of my experience with salt crusted to my body and was thankful for the private shower in the room. I just moved here with my husband few weeks ago and wanted to look for a good massage place. We came from Las Vegas and have had many massage experiences, some good - others not so much. This was the first massage place we had checked out since we moved to Parker, Colorado and I have to say it literally was 10/10. The massage that me and my husband received was definitely the best couples massage both of us have ever had. It was full body with oils & hot stones for 60 minutes. The ambience was beautiful and the music was very calming as well as the sound of the waterfalls. The rooms were very clean and cute. I heard about floatation/isolation tanks from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The concept of eliminating all other stimulus to explore your own mind was alluring to me. The location wasn't the easiest to find without GPS, but that seems to be pretty standard for this general area; plazas without much signage. The business is very new. Inside I was greeted by the owner. He gave me a brief rundown as this was my first time ever. The advice he gave was very helpful. My only error was having caffeine before I went. The facility has four tanks. I went midday during the week and there was no wait. I filled out a brief survey/waiver. He orientated me to the room. As seen in the pictures, there is the tank and a small shower area. Everything appeared to be clean. You shower before then enter the tank. it's completely dark and the water was just slightly below my body temp. I had no issues with the water or floating. It took me a while to clear my mind, which I'm guessing is normal. I chose the 90 minute session. The price seemed average compared with other similar businesses. Overall I enjoyed this experience. I'm going to visit again, but I'm not from the area so I'll have to find another location. read more

NOT FOR FIRST TIMERS! I have been floating for a number of years now and I love everything about it. The experience you have is amazing, and that is NOT what i am bashing on here. Astral float studio is great if you have floated before. It is very clean, friendly and as the reviews say, accessible with the shower and tank in the same room. However, the atmosphere needs some work. This is not a problem for those who have floated before because once inside the tank you don't experience anything, but for those who are apprehensive, it is a nice touch to allow them to calm themselves before the plunge. Therefore, If you are a first timer, try another place first, and if you do like it then come here. ****To the owner: I hope you read your reviews and can do something about the following: - The temperature of the water should be set around 96 degrees Fahrenheit. I was chilled throughout my float, which made it hard to relax. -I am not sure what the tanks are lined with but it is very hard to relax when the smell of plastic is so overwhelming. I felt as if i couldn't catch my breath. I am not sure if it is due to improper ventilation in the tank or the plastic smell. I hope to visit your spa again. I was so happy to find a float spa on this side of town. As other reviews have stated, the shower is in the float room so that's a definite plus! Another reviewer stated she was chilled during her float but I didn't find that to be the case at all. The water temperature was perfect. Let me tell you, if you're sweating while doing a float session with salt water dripping in your eyes, it's not relaxing at all but Astral has the temperature perfect. I decided to try the little floaty for my neck but after about 20 minutes I stopped using it. It felt like there was too much pressure on my shoulders and once I chunked it, I was is heaven. The owner did good with adding the ventilation to the tank. I've went to another float spa and was sweating and choking on the humidity while in the tank. Astral has made sure there is proper ventilation while in the tank which is so helpful! Tips for first timers...don't touch your eyes...it will burn. Be sure to hold on to the railing and door while getting into the tank because it is slippery! Also, make sure to thoroughly rinse the salt water out of your ears or you'll have a case of crunchy, annoying ears for a few days. Just one suggestion, maybe adding a small mirror in the room would help? Just a little something to make sure I don't look too crazy before leaving to go out in public! read more

Just being open and honest. I've suffered from anxiety on a chronic level for years. I heard about tanks like many of you on a Joe Rogan podcast. I found Astral Float Spa online and booked a session. Great place, great owner. Clean and well done. The tank is really easy to get used to. Just let go. If you feel you want to get reoriented just touch the side. I, because anxiety was expecting a war in my mind. But there was nothin . No anxiety, no fear....nothing. just me and a happy mind seeing waves of purple as if a paintball gun was shooting brilliant purple on a black poster board. I cant explain this. Apparently my problem isnt my brain. I'm perplexed. I left the place so happy. My appetite is back. I know the thinking chatter box A-hole will of course be back. But this provided me a seperation. I got in touch with me for an hour. I like me. I hate the negative fear generator upstairs, but I love me. And that's ok to love yourself. My first session was free if I bought two others. Deal. I think this is a fine place to go if, like me, you've never gone to a float spa before. It's something I've wanted to try for a while, but never got around to it. The owner was friendly and shared some tips before my session started so I could get the most out of the experience. The facilities were clean, which is always a plus. I bought the Groupon for this spa and I do not regret it. After my 90 minute session, I felt more relaxed than any message I'd ever received. It's as though I had left all of my stress and worries in the tank. This is my first time doing a float in a sensory deprivation tank. When I called and explained this to the owner he was super helpful and took the time to explain the process and the benefits. On his recommendation I completed a 90 minute float and came out feeling completely renewed. In fact I was so relaxed that when the music came on to signal the end of my float I didn't get out and the owner and to come in and knock on the tank to remind me my session was complete. Both tank rooms have private showers and clean towels for use before and after your float. Upon exiting the owner provides cold bottled water to take with you. I was so impressed that I purchased an additional 2 floats while I was there as the owner is running a buy 2 get 1 free special. I can't speak for the previous owners but this new owner keeps this place super clean and aims to please his customers. I highly recommend going here for a totally relaxing experience read more

I went on the website so view available times. All 4 tanks were available for the time I wanted. I called to discuss the times and to confirm the arrangement for 4 of us. The person answering the call was not helpful and made it clear that 4 tanks would just not work and the times were not available. I told him per his website the times were available. He signed a few times and I finally said if this is a problem just let me know. He said, "yeah it is, I just can't have 4 tanks available". By the time I hung up the phone he had gone on line to change the times available. They should not be promoting that they have 4 tanks when they really don't want for all of them to be utilized. While I have heard of "sensory deprivation" float tanks, I had not tried it until recently. The idea of no light, no ambient sound, & no gravity in today's world of buzzes, dings, & chattering was immediately intriguing. Steve, the Owner, explained the process clearly the first time I was there in October 2015. Astral Float Spa provides a clean, quiet & straightforward experience; a private room with shower & tank, ear plugs, towels (bath sized and washcloth), shampoo, conditioner, and liquid bath soap are provided. Once in the tank, it is as if one is floating in space and is absolutely relaxing. It is easy to lose track of time & space, and while I float for 2 hrs at a time, it feels shorter and I often wish that I could float for longer! For me, the physical body feels light and relaxed, as does the mind after being quiet for that period of time. Tips: - Dry your face after you initially rinse off prior to entering the tank. A dry face means there will be no temptation to scratch an itchy face (from the shower water) with salt-water-hands. The salt water in the tank should not find its way onto your face or create any issues! - A little foam noodle is provided if one needs it to support the neck, but when I tried it, I felt as if the foam noodle would pop out and it was distracting. I was more stiff trying to hold it in place, so I gave up on it pretty quickly. I can float w/o the noodle just fine, but my head can tip back quite a bit while floating, so a friend recommended bubble wrap. I use a small square of bubble wrap (~10"x10"), fold it in half, and tuck it under my neck. It provides a touch of support and stays in place. In today's world of noise and "busy"-ness, it's impossible to find pure quiet. Float sessions allow us to pause, rest, rejuvenate, and reset from all the stimuli we have in our environment. As an Acupuncturist, this is a must, as it is all about creating balance in our busy lives. I have been recommending Astral Float Spa & float sessions to my patients (& everyone!) to experience and benefit from the whole body health benefits. I'm completely hooked! read more

This was my first float spa experience! I bought a great deal off Groupon and finally got to use it. I thought it was neat that little Parker, CO has such a forward thinking type of service! The actual float tank was really cool. I like that he provided ear plugs, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. for the experience. Each room has a shower which is nice. There are locks on the doors to the room (I mean ones that can be easily broken into, but that's probably for safety reasons) and that gave me a little more piece of mind. I mean, you are quite vulnerable during this experience! The tanks are spacious, easy to prop open, enter and exit, so I never felt trapped or claustrophobic. The actual float experience: I think that is for each person to decide...I don't think you can put a star rating on a personal experience like that. Once I got over the initial mind-shock, my experience was great! The only reason why this place loses a star, is that he could seriously use a woman's touch in there. The decor was very limited, the carpet was stained from all of the salt water, harsh lighting, the bathroom was very bathroomy haha. In the end, this doesn't detract from the floating experience, but calling this a "spa" is a definite stretch. It's like, you enter this bachelor-esque establishment...have a nice personal float experience where you forget your worries...then exit back out the bachelor-esque environment. It just takes a way from the whole experience a bit. Adding a woman's touch would definitely bring this to a 5 star rating! read more

I went to Astral for a first-time experience in floating. While I had to get accustomed to a few things, this is a well run business. The float rooms are just as you see pictured in Yelp. They are simple, clean, and from start to finish you spend your time privately in your own space. That is your pre and post float shower, changing, and all are done in the privacy of your own room. The rooms are clean, have dimmer controlled lighting, contain a changing seat, and a mirror. Steve was running the business when I came in and I found him to be very helpful and friendly. If there are any questions you can think of before beginning your float, don't hesitate to ask. A lot of questions are answered under the FAQ tab on their website. I highly recommend reading up on that first. So, how did my float go? Without a doubt it takes a little time to "learn" to relax. My first half hour was a bit of a struggle. Eventually I found that laying my hands on my chest relieved my shoulders a bit, and then allowing my chin to move upward and further submerging the top of my head (almost to my eyebrows) was the most relaxing. I moved around in consciousness. I thought about things, and occasionally dreamt a little. I was quite aware of my breathing and my heartbeat (earplugs helped me with this, but Steve said earplugs make it noisier for him). I did become more aware of aches and pains in my body. When most other stimulation is stripped away you can become more aware of hurts and pains you already have (for me, it's my feet). At the end of ninety minutes I was really getting into it and then the soft music began inside the tank that signaled it was time to start getting out. For those who like to relax and love experiences it's a must try. A business idea... would it be good to include a basic phone on the wall that only rang up to the front desk in case of questions/concerns? read more

Never done a float spa before. The owner is super nice and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend if you haven't tried it. Each individual is different in how they process info and mediate. For me I think I went to sleep but I wasn't sure. Still don't know actually. My thinking is that I could sleep at home instead of paying the price. I do like the place. Its clean and relaxing. I decided to try Astral out after being unable to schedule with one of the other float centers in Denver, and I am very glad I did. The location is easy to find (you don't HAVE to take E470, despite what your GPS/Google maps may tell you), and there is ample parking. I appreciate the simplicity of the facility, as I'm there to float, not get my toes waxed or feel like I'm in a pseudo-temple. I've floated at multiple facilities throughout the country, and this is the first that nailed the water temperature--perfect! The saltwater was the most buoyant I've encountered, which was also a plus. As others have commented, having the shower right next to the tank is much appreciated and surprisingly rare in a float center. The owner is very friendly and cool to talk to, and the prices are reasonable with discounts offered for monthly memberships. Astral is a fantastic flotation center, highly recommend! read more

I had been wanting to try a sensory deprivation tank for some time but never enough to want to make a long drive ... So I was thrilled to see this spa open in south metro, specifically Parker. I made an appointment yesterday for last night & was impressed with the owner's knowledge & the facility's cleanliness. Pretty straight forward event - shower, float, shower. The actual float experience is hard to describe. Very relaxing, no concept of time once you're there. Evokes similar feelings to a massage, certain yoga poses, and even a really good nap. When I began calling around to see where I could go for this I was surprised to find everywhere was booked for evening and weekends until I called Astral Float Spa, they were able to take me right away, it turns out they have the most tanks anywhere in CO, and their prices are right on par or even less than some of the others. I was greeted by the owner very cheerfully and he explained the whole process to me, I was then left alone in my own private room to shower and prepare for my experience. Desperate times call for desperate measures... I pinched a nerve at ballet class on a Saturday morning and typically this escalates into me being horizontal, with my ice pack and heating pad and lots of advil and other assorted muscle relaxants. Sunday morning someone suggested I try floating, so by noon Sunday I was in the tank. I knew a lot about it, but this was my first rodeo. My only concern was that I wouldn't be able to handle the closed environment. But like I said, when you're hurting you'll try anything. So I just started breathing very deeply to settle my mind and my heart rate down. I slipped in and out of sleep and meditation for 90 minutes, which felt like 30 and when I came out, I felt great... still a little tender around the nerve area of my hip, but was really proud of myself for having done it. THEN the next morning I woke up and zero pain. Gone. Nada. Very happy today. My advice, just do it. Get over yourself and your fears and "Let go!" read more
