First visit. Had a full body massage by Anthony. He was awesome! I asked for a deep tissue, and he was perfect. Not too hard to leave me sore, but enough to loosen my knots and increase circulation. I went for an appointment and arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I was taken inside the room five minutes after my appointment time. They started the actual massage after 15 minutes and only gave me a 40 minute massage. I had to pay for 1 hour. The quality of the service is below average they don't even ask for water. If you ask them they get you a glass of water. There are no glasses near the water fountain. The masseur is below average. The massage bed stinks as if it is not changed for months. I have been a member this time around for about six months. I always request a deep tissue massage because I tend to have a lot of knots in my upper back. Usually, after working on the knots on my back, little time is left for any other parts of my body. Valerie has done my last two massages. She did the first one so well that when she massaged me today, she was able to spend much more time on the rest of my body. I am just going to book a full body relaxation massage next time, because I'm sure I will hardly have any knots for her to work on then. This location is very clean. The ladies who work the front desk are always pleasant and helpful. I have never witnessed anyone arguing. Hopefully, the arguing written about in one of the previous reviews was just an isolated incident. I also really like the hydromassage machine. This business is extremely unprofessional. This is a sorry excuse for a massage business. I overheard managers yelling at each other via phone calls and cussing at each other using profanity and vial language in a place of business. This was very off putting and left me in an uncomfortable position as a client. Keep in mind, this ordeal was while I was in the waiting room. they thought no one could hear them... it's sad for everyone involved to hear this take place. I wouldn't recommend this business. I was there on 2-3-24 at 9am. The ladies at the front desk are very nice but My massage therapist was late and we didn't start until 9:22 PM. I am not a frequent massage-goer but my neck has been so stiff and sore the last few days that I HAD TO get a massage. Everything about MassageLuXe was awesome! From the initial phone call to make an appointment, to the warm welcome upon entering by the receptionist, to the massage (of course) and to top it all off: the HYDROMASSAGE BED. My masseuse was fantastic! She really listened to my problem areas and really worked some of my kinks out. (Her name literally just slipped my mind but when I go back I will get her name and update this review.) After my massage, I received a bottle of water, a couple chocolates and my masseuse showed me the hydromassage bed and let me try it out! OMG! I loved it! Don't get me wrong, I loved my massage but there was something about that hydrobed! I didn't sign up for any memberships but from what I caught, a one 1 hour-long per month massage is $65/mo. (As opposed to paying $100/massage without the membership). And it would be $20/mo for UNLIMITED USE OF THE HYDROMASSAGE BED! Plus, with that membership, you get discounts on the regular massages as well. I believe she said $50/massage with the $20/mo hydro membership. We have been a member since 2017.  We were happy with the service except for the sudden appointment cancellations and reschedules. We have accumulated so many hours (approx 35 hours) which we are struggling to use up because of their numerous cancellations and couldn't get another appointment that actually worked for us. The only way for us to be able to use up all the  hours and not keep earning more hours is for us to pay a non-consumable $20. They will also increase our membership fee because they are under new management! The agreement when we signed up in 2017 was for us to be able to keep the promo membership fee as long as we stay members of Massage Luxe. read more

Hubby and I bought two introductory massages before they opened and just got around to using them. Pros - clean facility, easy to schedule, friendly desk staff. The cons? Neither therapist listened to what we actually wanted regarding pressure or areas we didn't want much done to. Hubbys therapist made some actual rude remarks and kept talking making relaxation impossible. Mine was a nice person but not so great at the job. We both felt like they were following a script rather than performing a massage. I used to have frequent massages for a pinched nerve so no this was far from a first experience for either of us. At first it was the hydro-bed that lured me in.....being able to pop in any time and use that has been amazing for my Multiple Sclerosis. The places that were tight when I arrive were even tighter when I left and continued to tighten throughout the night. I called MassageLuxe the next day to ask what kind of massage I receive and was told that I got a Swedish massage with a few spots of deep tissue. I stated that I had made the appointment for a deep tissue. The only response I got was "sorry," which indicates to me that they do not care about service. I do not recommend MassageLuXe if you actually want a particular type of massage. Clearly the massage therapist only does what she wants. If that happens to be what you wanted, you are good to go. Extremely poor customer service. I scheduled an appointment in December as a Christmas gift. My appointment was canceled last minute because the person scheduled to work with me scheduled off last minute. I later found out that she no longer works there. I immediately scheduled a makeup appointment for the next week. This was canceled THE DAY OF because the new woman scheduled to work with me had a last minute emergency. I've called repeatedly to speak with the manager, who has not returned my phone calls at the Apex or Raleigh location. That was it for my Christmas gift. This place is great. Immaculate spa, courteous people at the front, and Erika did an excellent job. She figured out better than anyone how to improve an issue in my shoulder. It didn't seem like the area in my back she focused on would help the issue - but it was exactly the right thing and made a huge difference. The hydrotherapy bed is great, although they probably need more than one, because there was a wait for it.
