Bought a Camry hybrid from Terry. Very personable and professional. Love this dealership as many dealers were marking up from MSRP, they did not. I will remember that when the car market isn't so crazy. Had to buy the car with Toyoguard but this is because of SE distribution center policy. Could the dealer have eaten this cost? I moved to NC recently & needed to find "my place" for auto service & repair. This dealership had great reviews so...I brought my vehicle in for an easy oil change & tire rotation. Within a few minutes the service specialist told me the mechanic found my cabin & engine filters were dirty & in need of replacement. Up selling a woman tactic, sweet challenge but I changed those 8 weeks ago all by myself. And when I went out with the service specialist to see these dirty filter the poor mechanic prob hadn't even looked at them. And no surprise, they weren't dirty. You lost my trust & my biz. I had my 2010 Camry serviced at Massey in Kinston. The quality of the job, rear brakes, was by far the worst that I have experience in the 66 years that I have owned a vehicle. 30,000 miles later the pads and rotors had to be replaced! I have been increasingly concerned with the quality of service that Massey has provided for the new car I purchased there in 2015. I am now convinced that most or all the problems I have had with that vehicle have been due to shoddy work by Massey "mechanics". One star rating is too much in my world. read more

Exceptional Service Department! I was one hour into a six hour road trip when the panel behind my front spoiler came loose. I pulled into the Toyota dealership and Josh noticed my problem as I drove into the bay. They took the car back, repaired it, had my keys back to me within 30 minutes and I was back on the road. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and generous. I wish we lived closer to this dealership. I would head to them for all of my Corolla's service needs. Highly, highly recommend!!! read more

I loved the way they went about their business when I was deciding to buy a new car which is the reason I went with them over Stevenson, even though it would have been closer to where I live. The day I bought my car though, is what brings me to a four star rating. I visited this location two separate times before I came back a third time and purchased my vehicle. The vehicle I went with was used and had only been on the lot for four days so it had not been cleaned yet. They detailed the car before I left that day but there's still dog hair all over the ceiling from the previous owner after it had been detailed it really just looked like they vacuumed the floors and that was it. I also left with only 30 miles in my tank until empty, I was under the impression that most dealerships automatically gave you a full tank when you left and I asked the girl about it three times but she just kept telling me she would ask her manager and I never got an answer or gas. Then I went to financing and I got my temporary tags. The guy starts handing me forms to get NC license plates and I asked him if I could just get my plates since I was going home next week so I could have Colorado plates. He told me no and the reason he gave me was that it was easier to do it that way. If I knew that alone I probably would have gone to one of the dealerships in Jacksonville since they let them keep their out of state license plates. It's also kinda annoying that I only got one key for my vehicle. read more

What an outstanding service visit! Service Advisor Bobby was extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and considerate! He kept me informed when a software update was slower than expected and offered me many options if I needed to get somewhere else during the appointment. Richard, the technician stayed late to make sure the work was all completed correctly--on a holiday weekend! A super helpful Ms. Faye from the office checked several times to make sure the waiting area was clean and offer me beverages. This was my first visit to Massey Toyota since moving to the area and I was totally delighted with the helpful people, their amazing commitment to their customers, and the excellent level of service. Massey provides a level of service and fair, transparent negotiating that is light years above any other dealer I've worked with. I purchased a used Toyota Prius several years ago from Massey. I was told by the salesman and someone from the service department that it had a new battery. It turned out that the new battery was actually a refurbished battery. The only way I found this information out was when the battery died a year later. When I was trying to get a new battery for my vehicle, they would only replace it with another "refurbished" one. As a matter of fact, they really had nothing to do with the replacement. They subcontracted the battery installation with someone I did not recognize or even spoke to when I was purchasing my car. I understand that all sales are final for certain used cars, but I also believed that purchasing a vehicle from a place like Massey would allow more trust a quality assurance. I will not make that mistake again!! In the meantime, I am praying that this battery with last me at least until I pay off the vehicle. read more

Car buyers beware.... stay far away from this place. Once they've sold you the car, they're obligation to you is done. Bought a newer used car from them and within the first 4 weeks, the car had to be brought back for 'air flow issues', three times! Granted, the car was a Nissan & they sent it to Nissan for repair each time. But based on the Sales Mgrs. word during the second service visit, I felt confident that Massey would take care of me if anyting else happend. His word was that he wanted us happy and to trust them that they would take care of us if the issue arose again. Well, the issue arose a week later, but it was a complete different experience. Seven days later I was told that there was nothing they could do for me, that it was "my car" but that hey would be happy to work a trade (no bettter than someone just in off the street). Sales Mgr. lied straight to my face during that second visit, and his demeanor during the third visit when I tried to take him up on his "taking care of me" was repulsive. He is the true definition of the stereotypical car salesman. Disgusting. read more
