The other day I found myself in a very bad situation caused by a close family member and got arrested. Never had this experience before in my life, I did not know where to turn. I was lucky to get a hold of a close friend who was able to contact my attorney, which in turn contacted his old go to, Mr. Massey. In a complicated situation, Mr. Massey went the extra mile and a half and I was out as soon as all paperwork could be submitted and the very slow and dehumanizing wheels of our Utah system would move. Salt Lake County jail is the most degrading human animal farm I have ever experienced in my life, and I was only there for 48hrs. If it hadn't been for Mr. Massey, I would probably still be in this hell for a very minor unintentional infraction. Thank you Mr. Massey!! You are awesome. read more

Today I was searching through an old email account and found a receipt from Massey's all the way back in 2014. With the stress of what happened back then, I was too busy to think about writing a review. Seeing that old email made me remember how awesome they treated me and my family. In fairness, this is the only bail bonds company I've ever used. With that being said, they were extremely helpful and got my brother out of jail ASAP. We were from out of state and I called three or four other companies before Massey's and they all turned me down. Massey's were the only ones willing to help. They were patient with all my questions and helped me with all of the required forms. I don't think I'll ever have to use them again, but if I did, I would do so without hesitation. Had the displeasure of communicating with Josh Massey who I believe to be the owner, or probably the owners entitled son. Josh is rude, has the attention span and attitude of a 3 year old brat who didn't get the toy he wanted in the supermarket. You have to be kidding me. This guy definitely tried to explain things up front to make you want to use him. I called him about a bond for my brother, and ultimately, this guy calls me like he's a teenager and while he called ME to ASK ME to help him get in contact with my brother, he acts like an ass every time he calls about anything. Firstly Josh, stop eating your words - I can't understand what the hell you're saying. Enunciate. Secondly, you call me to ask me to call my brother, and while HE was in need of a bail bond, I am not. I'm a business owner who doesn't expect that you'll call me and then not answer a question that you're asking me to help you with. Apparently you don't remember past conversations because you think you've explained to me something about checking in or whatever. I've never had a conversation with you about checking in nor is it on any of the bond paperwork that was signed. The same paperwork where you were unable to explain to me the reason why a guilty verdict means the bond is forfeited. You spew about how well you know your industry, but when you speak to me, one of the few who actually read the document, you couldn't explain any of the terms. It's because you're here for the easy money of the people in trouble. You don't actually understand your own industry when it comes down to actual details. Josh is definitely a good salesman. He's like a used car salesman. He talked a ton about what would likely happen and how much time someone would serve, etc.which of course, doesn't match anything any of the lawyers said about the same. I'll post a link to the recorded conversation for anyone who wants to understand if this is the right guy for you to work with... Apparently, when he called me about my family member, he apparently thought he was talking to me as if I was his customer and as if I was going to go to jail if I didn't listen to him. When a bondsman violates the unprofessional conduct clause of his own bond license by threatening to revoke my brother's bond, because of ME not doing what he says, there's a clear problem. He is the clear definition of narcissist with a sprinkle of psychopath. Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde. I have sent the recorded call to the board that oversees bail bondsman in Utah to get their opinion about his practices of hassling me about terms that don't actually exist in any of the documents. And, any terms that do exist, are not terms to me, as the bond is not for me. He is clearly accustomed to being in control by the mere fact that he controls the bond, and therefore controls via fear those named in the bond. Ridiculous. read more

Joshua Massey was so helpful!!! He was straight forward and very knowledgeable. He referred us to an amazing lawyer and explained what was going to happen next and what the process was. I would use them again for sure. I mean, I'm not going to use them ever again. Carey was willing to meet me at odd hours and places to get the paperwork filled out and he was a nice guy. It is my opinion that a bail fee should be based on risk as it relates to the individual being released rather than the offense. That's my only criticism. Thanks Massey's! read more
