He was paid IN FULL in less than the typical 30 days the thousands of dollars agreed upon. As summer approached the new system never cooled Lower than the natural temperature of a full underground basement. He was extremely slow to respond to my calls for a remedy. After he came and drained the freon or what ever it is 2 or 3 times he put in STOP LEAK! After consulting other licensed HVAC Professionals and online research STOP LEAK is ONLY to be used on an older unit that is going to be replaced and to just get it through the season. It VOIDS the warranty to a new system. STILL WOULD NOT COOL! Not being able to figure it out he then moved the location of the outside condensor unit, installed a new line set. STILL WOULD NOT COOL! The last word I got from A Air & Appliance was " we have done all we are going to do ... do not contact us anymore." STILL DID NOT COOL! I had no more funds to litigate or hire anyone else at that time. In the mean time I Contacted QUESTER GAS to do an energy audit as recommended on my monthly bill. When they arrived they immediately RED TAGGED the unit and turned it OFF. It was NOT INSTALLED TO CODE AND POTENTIALY FATAL!!! After paying additional licensed professionals for service calls and estimates the problem was found right away and the unit was tore out and reinstalled correctly, the outside condenser moved back to original location and the original line set used. OVER $ 4000.00 later and a total of over $8000.00 from the beginning of a small one ton unit for 1600 square feet. I DONT THINK SO!!!!
