I contacted Mastercraft based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and wanted to warn others. I called for an estimate in May signed a contract for 6000.00 job and sent a 25% deposit. I was told the job would be performed in late June. I called in mid June for an update to find out exact date but my calls were not returned. Finally in early July I got in touch with the owner, JAY. Instead of apologizing for not being able to perform the work on time, he raised his voice and started yelling at me for calling him (too much) for updates! He scolded me and threatened not do the work. He said he "would have to think about it and let me know the next day whether he would do the work". I was shaking after receiving the verbal assault. After he didn't call back the next day, I was too afraid to call again (intimidated) . Finally a month later I got the courage to call and I was told by Kyle, the office manager, the job had been scheduled for Late December!!! Yes, the rainy season! Everyone knows outdoor paint jobs can't be completed in December. I knew right away this was retaliation and punishment. I told them enough was enough and to just send my deposit back but no response. Silence. I finally contacted the BBB to intervene and I got the deposit back . You have been warned. There are plenty of good honest painters out there who need the work and care about their customers. This is not one of them. Maybe he got his family to write positive reviews. Not sure but do not do business with this person. He has an anger problem and does not value his customers. In addition he is dishonest and won't give your money back. read more

The only company that would take my insurance claim after a broken pipe flooded part of the house. They did a nice job and where in target with their quote. It did take a couple more days than anticipated. Understandable considering they had to remove the entire surface of a cement floor of a 40x40 room. Then smooth it, restain, and then put on the finishing poly coat. They were able to keep the dust and mess to a minimum. Their expertise is in painting, they also had to repaint the entire room as well as restoring the floor. Great job. I would have them back again. read more

Jay came out to the property to review the job, took measurements and said he'd get back to us in a few days. That was almost 3 weeks ago and we've heard nothing. I wonder if they can't quote within a reasonable time frame I have to wonder about the work that they perform. read more

We are out of town owners and needed to get our rental house painted. After call several painters, that said they would give us a quote and never showing up, we were running short on time. Mastercraft was able to accommodate us before we had to leave town. We had a paint peeling problem on the front siding that we had other painters paint in the past but it kept peeling. Mastercraft strip it down to bare wood, re-primed it and applied a finish coat. Looks a lot better the before, not perfect, but better than anyone else had done. The Mastercraft team also took a while to start the job (4 weeks). On the plus side, once they start the job they stay on it until it was finished. Our house, with all the prep, took 4 and a half days start to finish. Mastercraft seems to be a family business as the estimator/projects manager was Kyle Dargert and the boss in the office was Jay Dargert. When we first moved to Nevada, we had Mastercraft paint accent walls in two large rooms of our house. They were prompt, professional, courteous and efficient. They painted and allegedly repaired cracks in my house. Less than four months later, the cracks were back exactly as they were before I paid thousands to have them repaired. I have been trying to get them to come back and fix their work to no avail. read more
