We just had our wedding at Tawa Beach (the attached private beach club) and it was absolutely amazing. We could not have been happier with the service we got from Insolito. We, along with family and several friends, all stayed at Insolito and universally loved it. The hotel has such character with each room having a unique design and artwork. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The anticipated our needs and wants in too many ways to event list. Just one example is that when my wife and I we walking back to our room after the wedding around midnight, we saw two housekeeping staff on our balcony. Turns out they were waiting for us to leave the venue and had come to fill up the private hottub on the balcony put rose petals on the water. We didn't ask for or arrange this, it was just one of many nice touches from the hotel. Also, excluding free breakfasts, I almost never eat in a hotel restaurant, finding them to usually be over priced and under good. This was the opposite. The food was amazing and while the prices may be high for Brazil, they were very low for a global 5 star hotel. 100% would go again and recommend to anybody. The only potential issue is that if anyone has trouble with stairs (i.e. elderly or wheelchair bound) the hotel can be a bit difficult with accessibility given all the stairs. However, the staff will go out of their way to assist so its not impossible.

I come to buzios at least once a year, I've explored hotels in the region extensively. I am a bit disappointed with Insolitos. We had a suite with our own private "jacuzzi". The bubbles that a jacuzzi should normally do did not work. The jacuzzi itself is made of mosaic tales which make it very uncomfortable. The water in the showers was not hot enough. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste, felt like a judo mattress hehe. In the room there is not a single general information book. The restaurant menu is not available at the rooms and there is no refrigerated mini bar - cmon we are in a place as hot as 40C in summer and we can't have fresh water available from a mini bar. They have "given" to the guests a plastic bag which for the price of the room we thought was a gift, specially when was nothing written about the contrary. They claimed the plastic bag back once we were checking out. We felt very ashamed for that specially the way it was exposed to us. I would strongly advice the management to leave a note about this specific "gift". Don't be in a hurry for check-out it took us 45 minutes!!!! Which delayed our next appointment. Besides that, there was a mistake on our reservation and the service in general was not great, except for the breakfast. I would recommend you to go somewhere else. We are definitely not coming back. Apart from that, Buzios is a wonderful city. I will continue to explore their boutique hotel scene.

There is a good size closet and also a safe. The front desk staff is good and has some English skills. The location is directly in the center of one of the nicest south facing beaches in Buzios. The ocean in front of the pousada is easy to swim in, not too rough and gradually deeper so very swimmable. Didn't use the pool as it was not heated, but the beach is there. The pool is just part of the scenery. There is a parking lot - a bit tight so bring the small car. Breakfast was so-so, it is a nice breakfast room but options were carb-focused and limited protein options.

It is right on the beach in Geribá and the pool overlooks the waves and has a swim up bar. The rooms are pretty modern, though nothing luxury. I stayed in one of their 'side ocean view' rooms and it was nice. You get a partial street view but you do see the ocean. There is also a little sauna near the pool that was nice. The staff is very nice and helpful and they offer free breakfast and also free 'tea time' with cakes and coffee and little snacks. Perfect place for someone who wants to wake up in the morning, go for a run on Geribá beach, go for a surf, then relax in the pool and have some drinks.

Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for anyone or group seeking a nice place to stay in Búzios…read more I was fortunate to stay a few days here while in Brasil and this place spoiled our group for all other hotels and hostels. The neighborhood is quiet and yet still close to a few beaches, I forget their names. Oh, finding the place was very difficult as it was not well marked, so hopefully you don't spend 30 minutes like our group did and eventually had to call the front desk and have them find us! Oh I love Brasil. The rooms are probably nothing special by most people's standards, but they were clean and most had gorgeous views of the nearby hills and the ocean in the distance. My room had a small mini fridge and balcony. Someone else in our group had the top corner room that had the best view. A really good breakfast was served each morning and included homemade items and was some of the best food I ate the whole trip. Eating on the balcony overlooking the area is a perfect way to start the day. WiFi was available only in the "lobby" area but was reliable and fast. But honestly, spend your time exploring the shops and relaxing on a beach. The emails and facebook can wait. Located behind the place is a nice pool and seating area. I actually never used it as I spent my time at the beach and wandered along the Rua das Pedras. Had I stayed there a little longer and not spent the late night hours running, I would have definitely enjoyed a beer and looking up at the night sky with my fellow travelers. I am a runner and ran in the neighborhood and the Rua das Pedras at midnight and later. I was safe and was never even looked at by most people. They probably wondered why this gringo was running at midnight in 90F temps. ha ha. I am sure that all the luxury of this place comes at a price. I don't know what the rate was as it came in my trip bundle. The nearby (walking distance) gas station has plenty of snacks and alcohol for any cravings you have. So, if you happen to find yourself in the area, consider this place and enjoy everything about it. Oh, there are some beautiful horses that occasionally wander the streets (mostly at night). It was really cool to feed them grass and talk sweetly to them. In closing, this is my 800th review, whooo hooo, cue the golf clap!
