Matton offers a large selection of artist equipment, for professionals, amateurs and beginners. I would say it seems that they have it all, whether it comes to drawing, painting, building miniatures - you name it. Multiple types of paper, cardboard, sketchbooks, tutorial literature, glue, tape, artist tools, and the list goes on. Staff lets you stroll around the shop in peace, but gives help if you need it. The service I have had has been ok, not too friendly but not too bad either. Prices are good, I would say. They often have items of different producers and brands, so you can find the price / quality that fits your purpose the best. Location is convenient, as there is a tunnelbana station very close (Rådmansgatan) for rainy days, but when weather is nice, you can enjoy the streets of Vasastan. Luntmarkargatan is a tiny street, on the right hand side from Sveavägen, if you come from the centrum.

The museum itself is a little tough to find and can't be reached directly by the tunnelbana (subway/metro). It isn't helped by the fact that they like to make direct you to the museum with very post-modern signs that ENORMOUS arrows but the name of the museum in a tiny, almost illegible font. It's a spacious museum, and a somewhat strangely organized. The special exhibit was on the top floor, but the rest of the museum on the bottom floor. It's tough to explain, you'd have to go see it for yourself to understand. But it's not all that intuitive. But it is well lit which always critical for a modern museum. Another bonus is that it's directly connected to the Arkitekturmuseum which is awesome, since you can get a discounted rate when you buy a ticket for both.
