Unlimited Samgyeopsal for P500, with all the other Korean dishes you could want. Matgalne is a buffet restaurant with a heck of a focus. The buffet actually comes free with the grilled Korean Barbecue. The Korean buffet is of good quality for a buffet, and of decent quality overall. Highlights are any fried items, particularly the mushrooms and the fish fingers. The Korean fried chicken is also pretty good, as are the various forms of kimchi. Save space though, because your focus should be on the grilled meats on offer. The P500 unlimited grill price gives you a choice of Samgyeopsal (Pork belly/liempo), Woo Sam Kyup (Thinly sliced beef), or Pork Bulgogi (Marinated Pork). For so long as you keep asking, the staff will keep giving you plates for you to grill and enjoy. If you're not into having 3 plates of meat to yourself (why not?), you can also have the buffet for P349, and then order just one plate of meat for P300. The problem is that you'd be spending P150 for less of the same food. As for the meat itself, the Pork Belly is of good quality. It is cut a little thick, so you'll have to cook the meat for a bit longer than usual. On the other hand, the Woo Sam Kyup is cut very THINLY, so try not to overcook it. If you don't have confidence in your cooking abilities, the extremely friendly and helpful staff can cook it for you. That takes away half of the fun , as well as the distinct smell of korean bbq on you after you leave. All in all, Matgalne allows you to have as much Korean Barbecue as your heart desires (to its detriment) for about as much as a plate of Samgyeopsal and some side dishes would at other Korean Restaurants. If you're really hungry for Korean, this is your spot.

Once the waitstaff understood that we were there to eat our hearts out, they kept the bottomless accouterments coming! At one point, we had 4 different waitstaff stopping by our table every five minutes to bring us more of something delicious. Everything was fresh and good quality. Know before you go: 1. Make sure you know what's included in your order and what's extra. The waitstaff is more than happy to help make sense of it all. 2. Come wearing stretchy pants! You will undoubtedly eat more than you intended! 3. Bring your own hand wipes. The paper towels provided just don't cut it! I mean, it's BBQ! Plan on getting messy. Between the healthy portions, attentive waitstaff, and the casual atmosphere that teeters on gritty, we had an amazing culinary experience! I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

This is the reason why meat tastes better and tastier. We are glad to have a host family while I'm visiting the Philippines who knows good food, like honest to goodness must places to eat. One day, we were brought to this place right in the heart of Manila. The place might be small but the dining experience was gigantic. We enjoyed an AYCE for Php 580 with unlimited choices of pork and beef. The choices were so many that we just opted to get all beef. So many also were the banchans. When the server brought them out and laid in our table, there was no space left uncovered with these tiny plates and bowls of side dishes. Aside from that, we also requested for the steamed egg and tofu soup. Best part of the meal? You don't do the grilling because the server cooks all the meat for you. Ha! That's nothing unheard of here in the US. Overall, excellent service not just by the server but the entire staff. Definitely worth more than the money you pay for. I will definitely come back on my next trip to the Philippines.

Because it was our first time, we were lucky to have the server that we did. She was so helpful and made the experience easy and enjoyable. She was friendly and was able to speak english very well. I must say, We weren't too happy with the banchan (side dish) selection, but the barbecued meats made up for it. Plus, we were fortunate to catch the live entertainment, which was very very impressive. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. I wouldn't mind going back again, but hope that they improve or change up the side dishes.

Kpub is a solid choice for all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue. When K-pub first opened they were…read morepretty much the only restaurant serving this cuisine in the BGC area. But as of 2019, there are many, many choices. They have a solid selection of meats such as thin sliced beef, pork belly, bacon, thin sliced pork, marinated chicken and others. The flavors and quality are all good. For a minimum of 599, you can eat all you want for 1 hour. They used to bring a number of side dishes and sauces to your table too. But recently they changed it up so that there's now a buffet and you can get your own soup, salad, side dishes and sauces. What really sets K-pub apart from other all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue places is its sheer size. You're eating in a three story tall cavernous space facing a large stage with a huge television behind it. Most nights they have bands on stage. But on nights when they don't, or while the band is resting, they play Korean K-pop videos that can be a lot of fun to watch. The only really downsides are sometimes the ventilation is not enough and it can be smokey inside. There are no individual smoke vents per table. This can be especially bad if they're busy and your only option is to sit upstairs. It can also be a bit warm. Despite lots of air conditioners, its just a huge space to cool and sometimes it can be warmer than you might like. Lastly, if you're a really big or leisurely eater, the one-hour time limit might put you off. But the one hour starts from the time the food arrives on your table and you can still eat past the one hour mark, you just can't order any more. Overall its a fun experience, good for groups or parties as well.

We used to be regular customers there so we knew our meat. Our visit at this new branch redeemed us as regular customers again. We were so happy to be surprised by the extra space they have at the back; you'd think the branch is small if you only took a peek from the outside. It was a bit warm at first but they adjusted the aircon later on. Walls were painted black even in the restroom. Overall place looked simple and had that hole-in-the-wall vibe. Cleaning the front windows looks necessary though it amusingly matches the restaurant vibe. Service was good since they always got what we needed at fair waiting times. Refills came back loaded with food and the water pitcher really kept the service water cold. The free veggie leaves, dips, side dishes, steamed egg, and soup were impressive to the eyes and tongue. Be careful with the steamed egg because the bowl was insanely hot! We ordered two meats ala carte and they were excellent both in texture and flavor! To the management team: Thank you for impressing us, and we can only hope and wish you maintain the good quality of your food and service. Forget what I said about the windows; they still pass! :p

Venue since parking is limited and just walk to the restaurant (enter the street after Wendy's). It's an authentic cooked-at-the-table Korean charcoal barbecue restaurant. The meat plates and dishes we order are priced at Php220-400. We always order the Samgyeopsal, Wine Samgyeop, Chadolbagi and Galmaegisal for our meat. Additional dishes are the Steamed Egg, Kimchi Jigae, and Mul-Naengmyeon. The banchan is unlimited! The servers will cook all the meat for you but, I prefer to cook it myself. I love to make the pork extra crispy! Hehe! Their meat is always tender, fatty, and seasoned just right. You have to order their Steamed Egg! Don't ask why, just try it. Also, I always drink Makeoli when I'm here. Even if Carlo doesn't drink, I will drink it all by myself!
