As a dual-credit student I took some challenging college classes and they taught me better than some seasoned professors. Mr. Alan personally meets with all his students and takes interest in what their goals are- be it college choice, grades, or SAT test scores- and helps make it happen. This program is all computer based. The students don't get taught by the teachers. It is all independent study and they don't get assigned homework. The teacher insisted I do not pull her out of the program and emailed me all these articles about the program promising me that my daughter will be better off staying in. WELL NOW SHE IS IN JEOPARDY OF BEING RETAINED because she did not pass the STAAR exam. She had to go to summer school and retake the STAAR and I can't even access her scores because the access code I was given is NOT working. This program is a huge disappointment and a big JOKE! I hope other parents read this so they are warned before their child goes through what my child is going through now. Another very suspicious thing I noticed is that my daughter brought home her report card with letter grades (P=Pass & F=Failed). Now when I go online I noticed those letter grades have all been replaced with numerical grades. I have printed copies of both. I think this school is doing very shady business and is intentionally misleading parents so that they can get get extra money for student assistance programs.

I am finally able to share my experience with The Learning Experience in League City regarding what…read morehappened to my daughter on March 11, 2025. My daughter was injured while in the care of the daycare. Mr. Ethan was the teacher with her at the time she broke her arm. According to what we were told by Mr. Ethan, he knew she was crying and told us that he knew her arm was not broken and that she was "just crying." He did not call me, notify me that she had been injured, or complete an accident report. When I arrived, my daughter was sitting outside crying. As her teacher, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of care, concern, and compassion shown toward my child. The following morning, I spoke with Lauren, the Director, and Trin, the Enrollment Specialist. Neither of them had any knowledge that my daughter had been injured. Even after I informed them, no accident report was provided to me. My daughter continued to complain of severe arm pain and continued crying, so I took her to the emergency room that same day. Her arm was, in fact, broken. Even after I notified the daycare of the diagnosis, an accident report still was not provided to me at that time. An accident report was eventually completed on March 14 and brought to my husband's place of employment for him to sign. Throughout this entire situation, the owner never contacted me to check on my daughter, ask what happened, or offer an apology. My daughter never returned to this daycare. What also concerned me was how the situation was handled when another child's grandmother began asking questions about what had happened to my daughter. Rather than openly addressing the situation, the grandmother was asked to stop discussing it at the daycare, and the parent was subsequently spoken to about the grandmother's questions. I trusted this daycare with my child, and that trust was broken. Parents trust childcare centers with the most important people in their lives. They deserve to know when their child is hurt, to be contacted promptly, and to receive accurate documentation about what happened. I am sharing this review now because I was involved in a legal case concerning my daughter's injury and did not know whether I was permitted to publicly discuss my experience. I have since been advised that I can share my honest experience. This is my firsthand experience, and I believe parents considering The Learning Experience in League City deserve to know what happened to my daughter while she was in their care. He showed me the Kumon reading chart and I was shocked to see my grandson was given and worked in pre-k material. Mr. Lavu worked personally with my grandson before other children showed up 3 times a week vs. standard twice a week with staff. He gave more challenging material for me to work with my grandson at home. My grandson made great progress thanks to Mr. Lavu's care and help. I wish my grandson can continue his Kumon at the Friendswood North vs. back to the center near his home.
