At first the sessions were great! The tutors were effective and my daughter made a lot of progress in a short period of time. Honestly, I was very happy with the results of the tutoring sessions, and as a result, decided to have my daughter receive Spanish tutoring. I contacted Total Tutoring and organized for a spanish tutor to come to my house for weekly lessons. These sessions were scheduled for 30 minutes at the request of the tutor due to my daughters young age. The lessons began in September of last year, and as of today, she does not understand the phrase "Hola, como estas?". Needless to say her progress has been minimal. During the time my daughter has been receiving lessons from her tutor, Nannette Simmons, I noticed that she was consistently showing up late and leaving early which is discouraging considering the cost of each lesson. I contacted the agency to express my concerns and asked for a different tutor. I was told by Total Tutoring that they would try to find someone new to replace Nannette. Yesterday (December 2nd), the tutor again showed up late, so I decided to set a 30 minute timer. No surprise, the tutor was leaving early. I informed Nannette that should would no longer be tutoring my daughter and told her it was because she was consistently showing up late and leaving early. After each tutoring session we receive an email with a session summary; this is meant to highlight progress and address areas of weakness for my daughter to work on. I received the session report for the final summary and it was blank. I contacted Total Tutoring, cc'ing Nannette, expressing my opinion that this was unprofessional. I received an update session summary which was even more unprofessional!!! Nannette's updated session summary placed the blame entirely on my daughter!!! She took no responsibility for her actions. I responded to Total Tutoring again, extremely upset with the unprofessionalism shown by Nannette. Total Tutoring's reply was that they should have edited her comments before sending them to me. They took no responsibility for Nannette and did not acknowledge her unprofessionalism even knowing my frustration. They did not apologize for her comments, only stating I should not have seen them. Total Tutoring would get a higher review because they do have some good tutors, but customer service is key to me. I need professionalism and I need a good example for my daughter. I am active duty military and I have zero tolerance for adults who place blame everywhere but on themselves while taking no time for self-reflection. Our son's teacher resigned after the first week of school, but the school continued to tell us she was sick for two months. Our son came home with a letter informing us that his teacher resigned, we were informed that a substitute had been in the class along with a teacher aid. Our son was assaulted by another student stabbed in the eye with a pencil. The school failed to notify us of this incident. My husband was informed of this incident when he arrived to pick our son up from school, he was directed to the nurse's office without any explanation. The student assaulted six other children in the kindergarten class before being transferred to another class, where he continued assaulting other children. Our son came home and informed me another student took her scissors and placed them on his neck and threatened to cut his throat. I took my son to school the next day and requested a meeting with his teacher, whom didn't seem concerned nor did she have any type of plan of corrective action. My husband and I withdrew our son and enrolled him in a private school. I returned to the school to collect his supplies and belongings, the substitute teacher advised me that the teacher who resigned took all the children's school supplies when she left. I was only given one pack of pencils, and four boxes of crayons. We spent at least $60.00 on school supplies. I also noticed the kids were just coloring pictures when I was collecting my sons school supplies. Our son attended this school for two months and never came home with homework. When we would ask him how his day was, he always said he didn't do anything. We understand now why he wasn't learning anything. This is a huge disservice to our children and to the parents who trust Prince George's County Public Schools to educate our children.

They have an app called Tadpole, but yet the information entered is never correct. They are short-staffed every day and yet most teachers still leave at 4, so unless you can get out of work early to connect and discuss... you simply have no idea what is going on. Kids are constantly placed in rockers and chairs and are left there most of the day. The legal ratio of 3 kids to 1 teacher is rarely followed, in fact, I have seen as many as 10 kids to 2 teachers more times than I can count... We gave them sleep sacks for him to nap in each day, yet they just sat in his cubby. On more than one occasion he was left to sleep in a rocker as he was placed in a room that had no open cribs due to staff shortages... it's just not a good place to leave an infant. We started in January 2024 and there is not a single kid left in the class who was there when we started. To a child, they have all left and gone to other daycares... and now we are too. I wouldn't send my kid here if I were you. We are now 54 days past our last day and have still yet to receive our deposit back from the school. They claim its been mailed, but their by-laws state repayment will be made within 30-45 days and we are well past that... its a joke. Just find a different day care, this place is awful from the top to the bottom.

You've given him a sense of academic and intellectual pride that he will carry lifelong. You've given him the confidence and validation that if he puts his mind towards studying consistently that he can achieve his goals. You were consistently reassuring towards him throughout the tutoring sessions about his capabilities, far more than I was even as his mother. The knowledge that you gave him is only overshadowed by the confidence you instilled in him. I still can't believe that he achieved the score and overall it wasn't a giant investment of time, just sessions once a week with not much homework in between. Your sessions with him were clearly very effective, as Jacob even quoted you upon leaving his test and used so much of what you taught him to power through. You taught him the underlying strategies and concepts which was incredibly important because the actual test did not look that similar to the official practice tests and so he really had to extrapolate from what you taught him fundamentally. We have had a few rough years with Jacob with respect to him realizing his full potential academically and grappling with his own learning styles and this completely turned things around for us as a family and for Jacob as a student. Jacob wasn't the kid anyone would predict a 1500+ test score from--- and here we are: at a 1550. This course really worked out for me. I was admitted to multiple T14 law schools and received significant scholarship at all of them. It's absolutely worth paying for the class to get into a great school with a great scholarship package. His LSAT Demon study software is very well-made with extensive explanations for the vast majority of the questions from each of the 94 (?) released exams. In a few months I was able to raise my score by 15 points from my initial diagnostic and I am very thankful for Ben's instruction and the materials he provides his students with.
