After the initial skills assessment, we decided to sign her up for the summer sessions. After a few sessions, it became clear that she was loving it. She enthusiastically attended each session this summer (20 one-hour sessions!), had a great time with the tutors, and learned quite a bit. Kevin has been helping her most weeks, and he does a wonderful job explaining concepts and helping her work through both homework and the work supplied by Mathnasium during my daughter's classes. I am far happier with Mathnasium than I was Kumon, which seemed more like a money-making venture than a place that had the kids' best interests at heart. I say this because my daughter was doing work FAR below her ability for several weeks, until we finally decided to pull her out because she wasn't learning anything, and it was quite expensive to not be learning anything. Rashonda is one of the owners at this Mathnasium, and she has been gracious with our schedule, which has been a bit like a rollercoaster ride these past three months. She always gets right back to me with a response to any questions or concerns. She knows how to please her customers. Their hours are limited, but they work with our schedule, so I am happy. I found this place to be unique with their degree programs. The admissions counselors were really amazing with their job, and they were also sympathetic with me when I told them about something traumatic that I went through when I was 18. I can't wait to get their Master's degrees in Cyber-crime and Digital Investigations, along with a Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analyst. Basically a dual degree.
