Desperate to strengthen his math grades, I enrolled him at the center in hopes that he would gain the skills and confidence needed to excel and pass the 7th grade math. Today, after the yawards ceremony, his math teacher came to me with the highest praise for him saying that he was the only one in his class who exceeded a screening test that measures progress over the year. This has placed him at grade level in math. No other student scored on level but him!!! She was so overtaken by this, she asked me for a referral for her daughter who will be entering the 9th grade next fall. After a free assessment by the Tutoring Center, they gave me a systematic plan for how they were going to catch up my child to grade level and an estimated timeframe. What is amazing--my child was caught up in the exact timeframe that they predicted! My child became a better student, was more confident, more focused, and homework was no longer a stressful endeavor. The best part--my child LOVED going to the Tutoring Center! Every night, students are greeted by the friendly owner and staff as they enter the facility. The environment is warm and welcoming. The Tutoring Center staff are thoughtful and caring for all of their students. Staff can often be found giving students pep talks before and after tutoring sessions. Students are congratulated regularly for their progress during tutoring and their progress in school. Tutoring Center staff are flexible and understanding that students have busy schedules. Tutoring Center has changed our academic outlook! Given the tremendous progress we have made already, we decided to continue with the Tutoring Center to further our academic enrichment. The tutor was fabulous and the fees were reasonable. I much prefer one on one instruction in the privacy of my home to going to a public center in a strip mall somewhere. This particular business owner does a horrible job at communicating or lacks the ability to appropriately communicate. I've sent multiple emails to her regarding work assignments for my kids, some of which never receive a response and the others receive snarky responses once she's prompted to respond to the second email request. Ms. Denise and her staff have done a great job with my little cousins Kaden and Kai, but now she's also doing a phenomenal job with my very own daughter! Earlier in the year my daughter tested on sight words and got 13/70 memorized. Today I'm proud to say that with the help of Ms. Denise and her team, she conquered 51/70 sight words.
