My daughter was marked absent many of the days while at this facility in total 9 days and there was a child there with some behavioral issues, long story short they were not a very good fit for what I needed but that contract they have you sign there is no way to get out of it even if you are unsatisfied with their service. There is no reason you can use and if you do get out of this contract you still must pay a portion of the total agreement I believe it was around 40% so they will charge you to cancel basically . After pulling my daughter from the wings of Knowledge because of the atrocious conduct of another child (biting, yelling, tantrums) and the mediocre service I received I was harassed by Trina about money and her bogus contract she then took the case to court and won because I signed that bogus contract. The seemed to be a very sweet lady but will sue you if you decide you don't like her services for a legitimate reason.. you're better finding a place that lets you try before you buy I have been very cautious about little hole in the wall companies like hers especially one that forces a year contract to do business .. Kumon is a math and reading learning center. Kumon provides lots and lots of pre-made material for…read morethe kids to go through where it seems like the main method of learning is repetition and working on problem after problem. We enrolled the kids starting in the upper elementary school grades through about 9th grade. While it's hard to know what really works when it comes to learning, I believe the program does work in that it helped my kids have another way of solving math problems than how they are being taught in the public schools (which are actually excellent in congressional district 6 of Georgia). For instance my daughter in high school was able to show the teacher how she knows how to solve a whole new section of problems they are just learning in high school that she previously learned in Kumon. She said the teacher didn't know the Kumon method of solving the problem and that it works for all variations. So my daughter was up at the front of the class showing the class on the whiteboard how she solved a few of the new problems and she got them all correct. Why 3 stars? I asked my daughter out of 5 stars how she would rate Kumon and she said she would give it 3 stars. Mostly because it's a learning center and not a tutoring center. Also the Kumon way of solving problems was different than the way my daughter was being taught in school. And the school wasn't accepting the Kumon method of solving the math problems when asked to show work. But I think that knowing multiple ways to solve math problems is a good thing. And I know my kids benefited from the math solving procedures they learned at Kumon.

I took a Manhattan Prep class for the GMAT after trying to study on my own. Chris Gentry was my…read moreteacher and he was excellent. Classes were interesting and very interactive. The big thing for me was understanding how the test worked and the class was a huge help with that. I approached the GMAT initially as "I have to answer every question correctly" and Chris helped with adjusting my testing strategy to what I really needed (I'm going to get these types of questions wrong so let's just skip them quickly). The course also provides you with a ton of materials to use for studying. I didn't really like the strategy guide questions, but they were helpful if you really struggle in one area. All in all, I did wonderfully on the official test and saw ~110 point improvement in my score.
