She explained, asked good questions, listened, and taught me about silver with her magnifier & test kit. She & her husband were extremely nice, patient and pleasant to visit with as we went through and sorted a LOT of items. She was knowledgeable on many items and running prices, and offered a very fair price. I feel she was honest, reasonable, and HIGHLY recommend! For several years I have been looking for a mirror to match a bedroom set I have and my husband found the PERFECT one at this store last week. He took a pic, sent it to me (we live in Boise-two hours away...) and I immediately fell in love with it!! It was PERFECT!!! He bought it...tried to fit it in the car-wouldn't fit...took the piece that had come off the top to show me and was told he could come back and pick it up with a different car. This store called him yesterday after he was already on his way back to Baker City (2 hour drive, remember?) and had taken the day off from work to say they had "mistakenly" sold it to him, that it had already been sold to someone else...!?!?! WHAT?!!??!? He had the receipt!!! He paid what the price said!! There was NO sold sign on it!!!! When he got to the store they tried to give him $50 to just walk away and when he refused full well knowing that there was something else going on, they tried to say he was an extortionist and that HE WAS IN THE WRONG!!!!! What kind of business does this??? I will NEVER shop here again!!! And I will tell everyone I know to do the same!! Unbelievable business practices... AND, I still don't have my mirror....:-(. I'm beyond angry!

My husband and I discussed switching the setting out recently and the people here went above and beyond to get my ring done in a massive time crunch. The pricing is very reasonable, selection is great, (we looked everywhere in the Lynnwood/Bellevue area). Absolutely gorgeous and I can't stop looking at it! I called to make sure the book was in stock because it is hard to find (I have ordered it from 2 other stores and they canceled the order due to it being out of print). The girl said she would talk to the woman in charge of online ordering and call me the next day. She did not, So I called and just asked if she had a chance to get any information. She stated that the book was not in stock and was actually way more expensive than what I it was listed for. I told her the $57.95 had come out of my account and asked if they could just refund it. She once again told me she would speak to the online ordering person. Moments later (I am on the east coast, so they are 3 hours behind). I get a voicemail threatening to call the cops on me??????? like really? I was kind and patient on the phone, willing to wait for a response and did not DEMAND a refund. This is how you treat people as a small business.? Attached is the transcription of the voicemail (I did not answer because they blocked their number), the withdraw from my bank, and the email confirmation of the order. Talk about shitty business! In fact, Rex was so helpful and understanding that I feel obligated to edit this review, and post a new one as though my scene with Austin never happened, so here it is: Worth the drive. Nestled in beautiful Sumpter, the Nug' is a great stop for a scenic day trip. Manager Rex has a good handle on the employees; most everyone seems happy to help find product and answer questions! His customer service is some of the best I've ever interacted with. Their product selection is fair, and there are several ways to add discounts to your basket. Nice establishment, beautiful drive in. Apparently little altercations like mine very very rarely occur, so I wouldn't expect your visits to go like mine did. Thanks, Rex!

While the store may be "cute, " i stopped there for gas. The only types they had were diesel and…read morepremium, and believe me, they were charging a premium price for the gas. Their rate for their gas was 150% of what one might find in a larger town with more than one station. Not only that, they seek to rip you off. When the guy came out to pump my gas, i asked if they took plastic and he said they did with minimum $10 purchase plus 4%, so I asked for $15 worth. The guy made no indication that he had not heard me and did not even ask if i wanted it filled, but fill it he did. When i reminded him that i had only asked for $15 he claimed he had not heard me. Now, i pumped gas for many years, and if i had ever made a mistake like that, i would have "eaten" the diffrence and only charged the customer what they asked for, but he was not so kind and insisted that i pay the whole amount. I barely had enough money in my account to pay the $51.20 gas bill (and left me nothing for my medications i need to pick up at the pharmacy). My advice: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH GAS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU ARE IN THAT NECK OF THE WOODS. I am reporting him to the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Protection bureau division of the Oregon government who protect individuals from business who practice price gouging and the Oregon Department of Agriculture; weights and measures. I have also reported him to my bank.
