Very easy process and provided a $100 voucher. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for their service and good communication with client.

No need for any detailed assessment or troubleshooting. The plumber arrived on time and was professional, polite and attended to the job as required. He replaced the tap with similar. I have looked up the tap and they are about $60-80. I was quoted $580 plus GST to undertake the work. I agreed at the time as I wanted it fixed. I believe quoting pre GST to a retail customer is illegal. Ultimately we can all mentally add 10% but they should quote a total cost. But add the 'assessment fee' of $79 and in total it came to $729 to replace a kitchen tap. I understand the price of things today having had many trades at my house in recent times, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I paid the invoice as there was no issues with the work and I had agreed to the price. My issue is with the price. It is blatant overcharging. Anyone who seeks multiple quotes will not use SAMS. I have privately informed SAMS of my concerns and my views of their business model. It is flawed in several ways. Having looked at reviews online over the weekend I see that my concerns have been shared by others. I also see that SAMS in the ACT has been on the wrong end of legal proceedings. For poor reviews that I have seen of SAMS, the company normally responds with either a) we have no record of you being a customer (suggesting a malicious review) or b) please get in contact and we'll address your concerns (seeming to be helpful). In this instance for a) I am an actual, recent customer and my job number is 56216. I am in the system. For b), I have made my concerns directly known to SAMS, before providing this review, which they requested. I have never felt this way or taken this position with any trades company ever. I have never posted an online review before. But I have to make an exception here as SAMS have taken things to a new level.
