Living in a small local community I believe that it's important to shop locally and where possible…read moreuse local tradies. Even disregarding the little things such as small 'quibbles' and giving local tradies a second or third chance. In the case of the local plumber there were quibbles. Bull at a gate digging and burst a pipe. Drilled a hole in the wrong place in your big tank. Dug in a waste water pipe to the road where the out flow now runs uphill. So, not much outflow. Spread dirt from a trench onto your pebble path and not a tarp laid for that purpose. Made a drain through a wall and the tap does not line up. Little things. You can continue to try and provide support locally and while doing so, sadly be taken for granted though. As I believe I was. Jacob was asked to quote relating to my NDIS plan. After a bit of a wait, he did. He won the quote. Nearly $6000K. Paid in advance on the 27th June 2019. As agreed. All work to be completed by Friday 12th July. Jacob had even suggested he might complete it earlier. Nearing the 12th Jacob was asked to provide a date for attending as time was getting on. He was also around this time asked to quote on other tasks pending. Jacob did not respond to either request. The 12th came and went, Jacob was a no show, no call. More calls, text and emails to him went unanswered until the 23rd July. Where by Jacob advised he would not be on site for at least 8 days (if that suited) as he was doing 'big jobs" I advised it didn't suit. I was disappointed that he had not followed through or communicated prior. I advised I would get someone else. I asked him to refund the money paid to him. Jacob agreed to do so. After several phone calls and emails from organisations related to the NDIS. This he eventually did. Yes, he did, 38 days after agreeing to do so on the 23rd July 2019.This was 49 days after the job should have been completed and 64 days after he had been paid in advance. The lack of payment refund and lack of communication from Jacob had made me nervous. Thinking the funds were not likely to be returned. I did some research; hoping I would source information on how I would obtain assistance. I used the licence numbers for NSW and ACT found on Chads various promotional material on sites that Chads promotes on.as a basis for enquiry, on several sites The enquiries came back... no data. At a later time Fair Trading NSW confirmed a current ABN. After an initial data viewing, they were unable to confirm a licence for Chads Plumbing Solutions in NSW or the ACT. Nor did they find licences in the ACT or NSW for Jacob Turner. My understanding is that Fair Trading NSW will investigate further.

When they caused a problen that led to raw sewage flowing down the path and flooding the shed they reluctantly turned up a day late, spoke over me, didn't look at the problem, then drove off. On phoning the owner I was told if I wasn't happy, to go elsewhere.

I was charged up front but did not complete the work to my satisfaction. For the heater they left the the return box uncovered and for the Cooler they mucked up the drainage which I paid extra for it to be completed. The installers I found to be arrogant and they have refused to fix the problem. Very disappointed with the business.

I rang the AGL general contact number and of course had to proceed through a number of menus before speaking to a 'real' person. As I was in the ACT at the time of making the call I was put through to the AGL Energy Shop in Fyshwick, clearly not the department or person I wished to speak with, however as representatives of AGL I would like to think they would be helpful in ascertaining a number or email address for the person/department I needed to speak with. I was met with a very abrupt response that I was through to a retail outlet and unless I wished to make a purchase they could not help. When I suggested they may assist in redirecting or providing an alternate number the recipient of my request advised I wasn't listening re making a purchase and hung up on me. There was no customer service for the company they are associated with and certainly no empathy. At what point is being rude an option?
