That was somewhat upsetting but I didn't say anything. After the tech finished her exam at 4:15, I was not seen by the eye doctor until 5:00 or a few minutes after. I waited in the exam room for 45 minutes!! The eye doctor apologized and said they were backed up. I understand scheduling issues but someone should have at least came in and told me what was taking so long. When I walked out of the exam room, everyone at that check in desk were gone, lights were out and the place was shut down. I then had to be walked back to the eye glass area to pay my $10.00 copay, which I felt should have been free. The fact that my insurance is paying for this exam is really upsetting. I will find another eye doctor who is not with Discover Vision. I would give them NO STARS but that was not an option.

Unlike chains or employed healthcare that may push glasses or volume of patents, this is Dr. LaFerla's place. I never felt rushed, he communicated well--about procedures and insurance billing--his office is beautiful and state-of-the-art, while his service and care are old-school. I expressed that I was planning to purchase glasses with my first progressive script ever elsewhere by mail, and he then must have taken at least 1/2 hour more to make sure that my script was right, never pressuring me to buy frames from him.
