A "simple, no more than $500 case" turned out to be over $4K (paid in full on my part), while being way over his head in Probate (he's a criminal attny, who should have stepped back) and allowing my daughter's half siblings lawyer, to accumulate over $17K in fees, WE have to also pay for. Mr. Leitch NEVER acted, or AT LEAST informed my daughter of gaining access to her late Mom's and her own belongings, even though we gave him the telephone number on the window of the house to call. When WE needed to do some actual work, and FOUND her Mom's missing car, we let the person know WE were going to the police. AT that time, Mr Leitch called asking us to once again "DON"T ROCK THE BOAT", so we can close this case. It's been over 3 yrs, and now after calling him out about whether he actually works for US, he has petitioned the court to Withdraw as my attny. Oh, and for some reason, he and the Title Company expect me to come forward, sign a Quitclaim Deed on a house not only sold now, BUT I was told I had ZERO rights to, but why the quitclaim then? They were dragged out and my best interest was not in his best interest. After the second mediation things seemed to be ok but that was not the case. He ended up filing paper work that the other party did not agree to and thus having the other party get a lawyer to go after him for filing paper that the other party did not agree on and creating more stress for me. He ended up dropping me as a client and leaving me to the birds. A year later I am still dealing with this and having to file for a modification on my own. I ended up with 50 50 custody but watch them on the other parties days due to work and still pay her child support. Lost 10,000 dollars to her and 8,000 to him for doing nothing. The only HONORABLE thing John did was let me (DISABLED COMBAT VETERAN IRAQ 2004) pay in monthly so ill be paid in full. I have written him once about some basic information and he did not respond.
