If you live on the base do not count on them following through on delivering and setting up your bed . I told them numerous times over the phone that we lived on the base and they needed base access. The delivery man said he did, but could not get through the gate. Long story short , I had to go outside of the gate and they loaded up my mattress (barely fit) and base in the back of my truck , and also paying someone else to help me lift it up the stairs. read more

Do not do business with these crooks! They didn't show up to deliver my adjustable base and then refused to give me a refund. They said they only give refunds within 14 days of purchase. But the refund window expired because they didn't show up to deliver the adjustable base when promised. They only offered a store credit. My purchase was $1,700. read more

This is good place to find your mattress needs. The guy was awesome at what he does and knowledgeable about what he sells. Lots of models to try out for yourself on display. Unfortunately, the delivery date we requested was not available due to the mattress in stock. We just have to wait a few more days. Not a problem. They do offer a warranty on it that is included in the mattress on most models. Any they have a way to extend out the warranty if you buy the optional bed protection cover too. They can better explain it to you for details. They offer delivery and haul off your old mattress too. Sometimes they have sales on them and luck out on it. Please see what current sales, free delivery, finance options they have going on at that time. They don't do military discount and no mask required. FYI it's kind of hard to find. On May 24, 2019, we went to Mattress Direct in Gulfport MS to look for a new mattress. The manager of that store "Mark" assisted us. After looking and trying out several mattresses, we decided to purchase a Beautyrest Mattress. We chose their Plush Top of the line Black line. There was a sale that day and Mark quoted us the sale price of that selection. We also purchased box springs to match and two king-size pillows for a total of $4,150.51. When the new mattress was delivered and set-up, we thought we had received something different then we ordered. It was much to hard, like sleeping on plywood. We gave it a few days and than called the store and talked with Mark. My husband explained the situation but Mark said we had to keep the mattress for 45 days because it is a Beautyrest requirement. He refused to help in any way. One month later we called again expressing our dismay. Mark said that nothing could be done and we had to wait two more weeks. After the 45 days, we called and than went to the store. Mark said we could get a $3,200 credit. No refund. He said we had purchased a different mattress than we thought. I said that was impossible, we only tried the Plush Beautyrest and he had quoted the price standing in front of the Set of mattresses we wanted. He said that is not what he showed on the invoice and if we wanted the Plush we would have to pay more money for it. I said it was on sale in May and they should pick up the one delivered in error and bring out the one we had selected to begin with, He said it is not on sale now and if you want it you have to be willing to pay for it. Complete Bait & Switch. Horrible customer service. I told him I would not give him another dime and this was his doing. So we still have a mattress we didn't select and the Manager will not replace unless we pay additional money. He said another $300 would do. It supposedly has a 90 day complete warranty and a 20 year overall warranty but in reality there is no warranty at all. Who owns this store!!! read more

Honestly, when we shopped the employee didn't wear a mask. We went with the beauty rest silver and ordered it before the Fourth of July. They said it would be delivered on the 11th. We paid well over a thousand for our order. They call on the 10th and say delivery had to be rescheduled to the 23rd. I repeated it back to her and wrote the date down. On the 23rd we didn't get a call to see when it would be here. We call the store and they say it's to be delivered on the 30th. That they never said the 23rd. I'm really considering getting a refund and taking my business elsewhere. read more

What started out as an outstanding experience has now become a nightmare. Literally! I'm in sales and I believe that the service after the sale is as much as important as making the sale. My wife and I went to the local store and found the perfect mattress. At this point the salesman was wonderful. We didn't go cheap and we decided on the beauty rest black king size mattress. Beyond that I have no idea about a mattress except the one we picked out. I asked the salesman specifically that I wanted middle of the road mattress. I didn't want the softest and I didn't want the hardest. He assured me that this was the mattress for me. So we made the deal and I bought the mattress with the free adjustable base and the total was just over 3 k. Walked out happy and left a good review the salesman. Upon delivery of our new mattress we were so excited. It's finally here. For some reason the cord that syncs the two adjustable bases didn't get shipped. No big deal, I just was happy my new sleep investment arrived. The first night I slept on it I knew this was not the mattress we picked out. NOT at all. I have done the research and knew the mattress would be firmer than what we tried in the store. This being said the salesman sold me the wrong mattress. Extra firm... I went to the store and asked about the cord for the base and then I asked about my bed being the wrong bed. The salesman wasn't there. But the other salesman remembered that we picked out the medium firm mattress and assured me they would make it right. The following day I called the store and spoke to the salesman who sold us the mattress and he did nothing but insult me. Told me this happens all the time and people pick a mattress and just want to swap it out. Wtf really? Maybe you should check your work if this happens all the time!!! He will not own the fact he sold me the wrong mattress... very disappointing in how this turned out. I told him today that the next time I come to the store it will be to bring his mistake to the front door. So if nothing is done by Monday I will return the mattress he sold me to the store and then the better business bureau and my attorney can handle it from there. I'm a honest person and I stand by the fact you always take care of people after the sale. To be insulted as if I'm a liar has made this so much horrible. Just own your mistakes and I don't care about paying the extra money. At this point I shouldn't have to pay anything. Never ever will I deal with this guy again. I will however recommend the lady who was honest with me when I came back. Now this guy keeps blaming her for the hold up on fixing his mistake. read more

We purchased two twin XL adjustable bases to make a king bed (floor models that we were told had been used for 2-3 months) and had them delivered last week. 3 nights after being delivered, one of the motors went out. When I tried calling Serta, they were closed for the weekend so I called the store. The manager, Mark, told me repeatedly "I have no answers for your question". He then went on to tell me that the bases were "sold as-is" and that there was nothing he could do. Do not expect good customer service or quality items from this store. Fortunately, Serta has great customer service and is replacing the part, but I am very upset with the obvious lack of compassion and integrity at this store. read more

Very disappointed. Purchased a mattress two years ago. It now has a big sag in it. Went to the store, filled out forms to get a replacement, was approved to get a replacement. However, when I went to pick out a new mattress, there were none comparable to the one I have that isn't $300 or more above the replacement cost in price. Finally found one that was only $150 more than the old one but then they wanted to charge me almost $100 delivery fee to drive a mile and a half. I think I'll keep my lopsided mattress!! read more

We had a wonderful experience at the Mattress Direct Store in Gulfport, Ms. We were very impressed with our sales member, Anthony. He was very professional and was helpful. I feel that Anthony went out of his way in helping us with our mattress selection. Anthony explained the different types of mattress that the store had to offer. He was so kind and patient with us. I feel he is what made our shopping experience so wonderful. I enjoyed his willingness to answer all of our (many) questions and to fully explain the different sets the store has to offer.
