However, when we got home and put the sectional together we realized the back wood frame on the corner piece was cracked. We immediately called the store. Lee said a new center would be shipped to the Duluth store within the week. We called him back to ask if it could just be delivered to our house since they would be passing our area( Mahtowa) and for us to go to the mall area of Duluth is a 50 mike drive one way. He wouldn't return our calls. We went to the Duluth store to pick up or center unit. Not only did we have to drive a total of 100 miles (50 one way) to get it.... We were charged $10. Not sure why. We talked to the manager of the Duluth store. He was nice but we still had to pay the $10 on top of our gas money and time. Stayaway from Ashley in North Branch!!

Ashley Furniture North Branch lost us as a customer today over a $99 delivery fee! We found an…read more"Ashley item" on a national website offering free delivery and setup. The Ashley Store apparently could not compete because "the item was a special order (6-8 weeks for delivery although their competition said the piece would be delivered by thanksgiving). The Ashley store employee then showed us another piece that was again offered at a cheaper price per the competitors website and was also offered with free delivery and setup. The "Ashley Store" then refused to match the competitors offer after telling us "they would match ANY online offer". Anyway, this is their loss, not ours. We have been a very good customer making multiple purchases from this store (including a kitchen set, living room set and a bedroom set) and now I guess we'll just buy from online retailers from now on. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY, Shop online before you make your decisions as there are better deals out there! We're NEVER GOING BACK GOING BACK TO ASHLEY or Furnituremart (note that they are the same company). UPDATE.... Ashley has now emailed us twice since the above review, telling us that we have items in our shopping cart and must act NOW to get the BEST deal! Sorry Ashley, you've already lost us!!!! We've literally Spent THOUSANDS of dollars at your store (verifiable), but were blown off by your salesperson and sales manager over a stinkin' $99 delivery charge and WE ARE NOW DONE WITH YOUR BS! Get real! Haven't had a chance to meet his wife but I'm sure she's just as awesome. There's plenty of floor models to try. And if you're curious he was willing to show us what he had in back. Even moved the mattress from the back to a place we could lay on it to try. If you're not buying a mattress from here you're paying too much and missing out on a 0 pressure situation. Not only that but Bob was honestly someone I was happy to meet and glad that I had talked to. Overall I left feeling like I had spent my money well, supported a local business, and met one the best business owners I ever had. FYI they are super supportive of vets. Very rarely have I entered a business, including a gas station, where I don't feel obligated to purchase something and I found that here. Couldn't be happier.

They expect taxes and fees to be paid up front (which is ALMOST understandable) but then, they expect a 25% deposit on special orders. TWENTYFIVE PERCENT!!! Not only that, but you cannot use their Well Fargo zero interest to pay that deposit. Nope, you have to use a different credit card or cash/debit. What's the point of zero interest and financing if we can't even use the card? Nope, I'm paying off my previous zero interest loan and NEVER purchasing from them ever again.

The delivery and setup is where the problem lies. The two times I used their delivery and setup I've had issues. One bedroom set the draw was installed improperly and I don't even use the drawer due to its very difficult to slide and my living room furniture side table was missing a foot and was told that it would be ordered and shipped to me. It's been two months and I called and Slumberland was not made aware of this problem. I didn't fall in love with any of the sofas. Mostly every display was a sectional, and while traditional sofa and loveseat were available for most of the styles... there weren't and models on the floor. I found the person who initially helped me, and they shared that if I need a visual reference they could pull some up (online). Eventually I found 1 modular style, that I liked. DIdn't love, but would do. I saved it for my records, but didn't buy anything in the moment, because I was truly settling. Anyway, although I didn't find anything that I wanted to buy during this trip, I had a good browsing experience and customer assistance from Primus.

A whole process of picking up my couch was extremely annoying and took me just going down with no certainty that my couch was there to pick it up.
