I purchased a box spring at Mattress Firm. The sales staff were helpful, but I'm not impressed with the quality of the merchandise despite all the good reviews I read on their website. I know the quality of the item is more of a manufacturer issue. But when I went back to the Mattress Firm website to leave my feedback, I noticed there was no option to do so. Since they post reviews but give you no option to leave reviews, now I question the authenticity of the info you see posted on the Mattress Firm website. My purchase was for a Tempurpedic box spring. And even though it was relatively inexpensive compared to a mattress, it was still overpriced based on the item's quality. I would buy from this store again, but I would hold out for a sale. I was in the area after work and decided to check out this store since I was planning on moving out with my girlfriend and needed a new bed. They have a policy that only mattress firm customers could park in their parking lot. Which was fine however I wanted to cancel a gym membership that was conveniently next door first. Before I had even made it out of the parking lot a heavy set woman runs out of the store screaming about how parking was only for mattress firm customer. Since she was halfway across the parking lot I had to yell back to explain that I was a customer but she just rudely gestured to the sign. That changed my mine to be a customer pretty quick. 8 months later someone from customer relations reaches out and says it's outside the 120 days so no exchange can be offered. I appreciate them reaching out, but not of much help. Had Lisa taken my complaints of the Purple 4 mattress giving me lower back pain and requesting to exchange it for the Purple 3, I wouldn't be stuck with a pricey mattress that cause pain due to lack of support. Instead she told me to put the feet up on the adjustable base. If you have to alter the mattress to have it be less painful, it's not the right mattress. This is a policy review on MATTRESS FIRM Redlands, CA based on TWO defective mattresses. We have no issues with Aaron or his attempts to remedy the many issues that resulted from sloppy manufacturing. In the end, we had no choice but to take the restocking fees hit. This is unacceptable and we should be getting a full refund after purchasing two high end defective mattresses. Why would they be restocking a defective mattress??? ​ More importantly, why would we make another purchase with this company? We are now waiting 3-4 weeks for a refund check. WHY!? According to policy on invoice, credit should have been refunded to our credit card. In February, we purchased $6,000 for an organic mattress and supplies in Redlands CA last February. We had issues with comfort and decided to exchange the mattress within the time frame. Upon removing the mattress cover and bedding, we discovered the mattress coming apart with holes and stuffing coming out and stitching unraveling in 17 places. We took photos and sent them to Aaron. Did the many defects affect the comfort level? We pose this question because the store claims the return was a "comfort" return and had nothing to do with manufacturer defects. We then exchanged for a Beautyrest Beyond, more expensive mattress. Upon​ delivery, discovered numerous holes in the end with the stuffing coming out. ​Took photos and ​immediately​ reported it​​. A new mattress was delivered the next week. We asked the driver to inspect it. It was in the same defective condition. He called the warehouse to check other mattresses. They were ALL in the same defective condition. At the same time, extenuating circumstances prevented us from further shopping. We decided to do a return and get a refund based on having paid out over $6,000 and still without a satisfactory product. We were told by Aaron that the store would support any decision we made and make everything right. BUT, turns out we can't get our money back without a restocking fee penalty!​ Even though our receipt says credit card purchases will be refunded back to the original form of payment.​ ​ Lisa told us when we went to the store to do the refund that they would not refund to a credit card.​ We ​were told to file a manufacturer's defect claim​ to receive a "full refund" in lieu of paying restocking fees. We agreed. Upon further discussion, Lisa said she "just found out" (after working in the store 7 years) that a warranty refund is not returned to your credit card. You must accept an "IN STORE CREDIT" to be spent in the store! There is no question that return is due to manufacturer's defectS. read more

Horrible company. Don't buy a matress from matress firm online. You can never speak to a live person. Every purchase is done by chatting with an agent. I waited all day for my matress to be delivered and it wasn't because the agent online told me a had a balance due. The day prior the agent told me I was paid in full. They ended up telling me today the reason my matress wasn't delivered was because I had a balance. This is what happens when you can't speak with a live person to clarify your order and prevent any problems with the order. My parents decided to get a new mattress. My mom especially needed it because she had brain surgery. The bed is fine for the most part. It was $800 or $900 dollars, and even when the bill is paid on time, there are charges that add up. The bank, Synchrony will rob you blind! Someone else said it: You will not be paying $900 for a mattress. It will be thousands of dollars more than that. When you send it the payments, send it in certified. I also want to note that when you walk into this store, it wreaks of bug spray, and I can understand the need to prevent bedbugs with the public going in and out, but it seems from reading other reviews that there may be an active problem. My parents have informed everyone they know to not buy from Mattress Firm, and honestly, IF PEOPLE ARE PAYING THEIR BILL ON TIME, then THE MANAGER NEEDS TO FIX THE PROBLEM because it is unconscionable to cause destruction in the lives of people in general, but more so if they have medical issues or are disabled. PROOF Can be provided about the payments being made, so something needs to be done. Personally, I had a bad experience here myself when the salesperson, a woman with red hair quoted one price, hopped onto the phone with her manager, stated a different price, and then completely denied that she did that. Salespeople think that the general public is so naive when it comes to their shady little tactics, but guess what, I left and bought a bed somewhere else. I visited the Redlands location and was helped promptly with a good Individual, but from the way the associate explained it to me was that if I buy a mattress and don't like it, I can exchange it for another mattress (sounds pretty simple right?) I was not told it would cost me $250 plus another $99 for shipping to exchange the mattress. If you're returning the mattress, they charge you a 20% restocking fee plus $99 for delivery and if they GAVE you a "free" adjustable base that will cost you another $500 for the base. So after purchasing a $2300 mattress and deciding that I don't like it and don't want to spend another dime of my hard earned money with this company, a complete return is going to cost me $1,013. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Mattress Firm. Other businesses have better exchange and return policies. read more

I received a defective mattress from this store (the sleepys pillow top) and was given an even exchange for another sleepys pillow top, which also ended up being defective (the pillow top on it bubbles up unevenly in certain places) The manager suggested I exchange for a different mattress since she admitted there was obviously a problem with these particular mattresses. She also told me that her niece has the same mattress with the same issue.... So great, I was happy until she told me that with the new mattress it would be a final sale with no 120 sleep trial. I expressed my concerns about this but I felt I had no other option so I went ahead. I got the beautyrest vining's at her recommendation and I am very unhappy. I've been in pain every night since receiving it. Now I am stuck. So all I can do now is warn others not to shop here. read more
