I live by myself and I'm gentle with my furniture. Yet already there is a drastic rip along one of the most in-use seams on the sofa: the bending seam where the recliner opens. I contacted Back In Comfort to let them know the state of their product after just a few months, and the actual word-for-word response I received was "go to an upholsterer, best of luck." Despite some interesting furniture options in-store, and a pleasant experience during the initial purchase and delivery of this sofa, I cannot overlook that Back In Comfort has ultimately left me holding the bag on a bad product. I planned on buying a floating table from here in a few weeks as a birthday present to myself. Instead I warn future customers to set aside extra money after dealing with Back In Comfort, you may need it when they tell you to take your months-old, deteriorating product to an upholsterer.

Light, durable, strong. And expensive. Not that there are any price tags anywhere. And not that there are many samples. I went there to check out a new mattress and was interested in their OrthoTemp and OrthoPlus. They are different, but don't expect anyone there to tell you how. They had one 'medium' support model of each of these types on display in the showroom. But what if I'd prefer medium-firm? or firm? There were none to try. When asked, their answers were along the lines of, 'well, one person likes firm, and another likes something else'. Not too helpful. Their website is also pretty obtuse. So do I plunk down $$$$ for a mattress I've never even sat on? Not today. Why 3 stars? Well, I was happy with the mattresses I'd bought from them years ago. And I'm pretty sure there is a sales person who is knowledgeable and helpful, but she was not in the showroom today. So I guess I'll just have to phone first, be sure she's there, and try again.

I let them know about this & asked them if I could expect delivery on time (1 week) because of the situation. They assured me they would take care of me. But once we paid, they didn't call me to let me know when my order would be arriving. It was delayed almost 2 weeks. Granted, maybe they didn't have any info, but they should have followed up on the order. It was a substantial amount of money. I was desperate because my nerves were raw from days of sleep deprivation & fitful sleep. When they finally came to deliver the mattress, they did not use a professional delivery service. But it seemed like it was their family members who did the delivering. One guy arrived on time & the other guy was late. The guy who did arrive had the nerve to ask me if I could help! I paid for delivery & set up of the mattress. When they put the mattress in the room, I asked if they would set it up because that was included. And the first man who had arrived set up the frame very reluctantly, saying, all you have to do is this! And he pulled the frame open & locked it into place abruptly. They were very unprofessional! I'll never order from them again! It's a pity because they carried some Canadian mattress products I haven't seen elsewhere.

This company was highly recommended to me by a friend that was a patron of the College Park store. I have used both locations, but no longer see the College Park one listed on their website. And within the merchandise like pillow cases, pillows, sheets, covers, pillows, & mattresses they carry various materials such as mulberry silk pillow cases, silk sheets, wool/silk/down duvets, shredded latex pillows, & the Cadillac of mattresses, latex mattresses (bedbug resistant). Recently, I did research into buying a latex mattress, but the prices at another retailer was just soo out-of-reach, especially considering that I'd be upgrading the size of my bed in the near future. When I looked at the prices that Down Under was offering, for organic latex, it was much more reasonable, SIGNIFICANTLY lower than other retailers. So definitely check out their selection, which is even available to order online, if you're in the market for a latex mattress! Tony mentioned that one of Down Under's competitors are stores like Winners/Marshalls as they carry the exact same items. So what's the difference? Specialised customer service and items such as silk sheets/latex pillows, mattresses, etc. If you're looking for these products, you will not find them at places like Winners/Marshalls. And as for the customer service that has experience and knowledge in bedding? Forget it!

I ordered this mattress Wednesday night and it was delivered Friday evening…read more I've ordered other mattresses online before and was very happy, but didn't want to spend the same on my spare bedroom. I saw the sign for a $299 queen sized walking down the street and it caught my attention. No way could they do that. I checked out the site and some reviews and orders the level up from their base model. It came in around $500 delivered! They do make a third level that people rave about, but I didn't think it was necessary for my guests who typically only stay a night or 2, totaling 10-15 nights a year. Delivery was fast and efficient. Their delivery guys were friendly and clean. If you need a mattress for your own room, get the top of the line. (Still cheaper than most other brands). Spare bedroom, second tier. Cottage, dorm room or first place on your own, get the entry level! You can't go wrong for the price. Especially delivered!!!! Keep up the good work dozy!
