Came here to get a mattress for my new apartment. We are on a very tight budget and we were very worried about being pressured to buy a more expensive one and just having to leave as we have had to do with mattress stores in the past. That was not the case at all here. Donna provided us with excellent service. She greeted us and was very pleasant and kind. Once we explained our situation financially to her she immediately knew what we meant and took us to the cheapest mattresses and the ones on sale. She was honest with us from the start to make sure we left happy and not feeling scammed. We were able to leave with an affordable mattress that I find very comfy and squishy and great for me! I am very happy with my experience which is rare for mattress shopping but this was just supreme customer service and a great experience. Very pleased with my experience in store and the process of buying a mattress from the store, however very disappointed in the delivery service. This store charged a delivery fee of $99 and explained the drivers were coming from NC. The woman in the store explained that I would get a call around 7 am informing me of a three hour window for delivery. I received a call around 7:30 am saying my mattress would be delivered between 4-7pm. 7 o'clock came around and no mattress. I received a call from the delivery people around 7:05pm stating they were just leaving Roanoke. The mattress did not arrive until 8pm that night. Very displeased with the delivery service. i should have been notified prior that they were running behind schedule.... was not worth the $99 fee. read more

Bought a queen mattress and box before Christmas for a family reunion and was given a delivery date well before the guests would arrive. The delivery day passes, no delivery or word from Mattress Warehouse. So I call and the salesman can't tell me why it didn't come or (better yet) when I might expect it. Celebration comes and goes, I put the relatives up in a motel, and still can't get at date that the bed will be delivered so I go in and ask for a refund on my card. I'm told they can't do that at that store. That it has to be handled in another office and will take three days. So now I;m steamed but wait the three days only to find out that it hasn't been refunded and that the salesman can't tell me what the problem is or when it will be refunded. So now I'm contesting the charge through the credit card company (big hassle) and its been over a month. No refund, no explanation! This has never happened to me and I've been using credit cards for 30 yrs. This is a skunk of a company, be careful!! read more

I ordered and paid for a mattress from mattress warehouse in christiansburg, va. It was to be delivered the day she arrived for college. They were to call the night before to arrange the time. She didnt get the call so she called the next morning. It was scheduled to be delivered before she could get there. They couldn't change it that day so we asked about rescheduling. They initially said either the next day or in 2 days. Just to summarize they later said there was no possibility of delivering it until 5 days later. My daughter was recovering from surgery. They had no compassion and didn't try to work with us. We canceled the order. They said they would refund me in 7 to 10 business days. I drove to mattress outlet. We got a better deal and the mattress was delivered about 3 hours later!! read more

Was looking into purchasing a new mattress and box, and just happened to see the store while I was across the street eating. Stopped in and looked at a few before even trying out the equipment that tells me what I should be looking at. Turned out the one I was leaning towards was just on the edge of the range I was recommended to look into. The associate that was helping me got me a great deal and didn't push me into something more expensive to get a better commission. If and when I need anything else I'll definitely go back and ask for Wanda. read more

Just had a terrible experience with the financing related to my purchase and Synchrony Bank. The way the transaction was written up has caused a problem with the monthly payments adding up to the total amount I owe. Neither the Mattress Warehouse company nor the bank is willing to take responsibility for fixing the transaction to make it right. read more

I went into Mattress Warehouse having done my price comparisons on an adjustable split king size bed in Roanoke, Rocky Mount and Christiansburg. I felt fairly confidant that I had the lowest price from many of the other mattress retailers but figured I would stop in (just in case).... when I walked in to the store I was greeted by a very friendly saleswoman and I immediately told her I had done my shopping "lowest price" due diligence and that I did not think there was any hope she could meet the price I already had in my hand. She was not a bit put off by my claim and asked what mattress, adjustable base and other items I was comparing and what price I had been given on each and free delivery too. We matched piece for piece the items I had on my list and she agreed I had secured quite low prices...but she phoned the store owner and they worked quickly and in unison to attain my business they not only ended up meeting the other price they beat it by several hundred dollars! I am very pleased and will be sending more business their way as often as possible! The delivery service was on time and kept me informed of where I stood on the schedule.
